CHAPTER 14

They murmured something before the glass was in front of another woman started to fill up with the same wine. The man removes his hands and no wine was left in the glass. He chuckles as the man ordering scowls. He fills his glass again and pushed it towards him. The bartender left after that, going into a back room.

I felt breath in my neck and I turned, smelling the scent of the place I was taken. I saw those orange eyes and the King blind hair, the familiar smirk on his face. "Remember me, sweetie?" I snarled and my leg flung out, hitting the family jewels. He fell to the ground and Carol smiled.

"Brother, I always knew you were pathetic. Stealing my friend to try to kill Zavier isn't the best idea," she growled, punching him across the face once. "Especially now." He lifted himself, glaring at my stomach. He grinned and tried to touch me again. I removed myself from the barstool and punched him the hardest across the face as I could, his body falling once again to the ground, this time he was a little discombobulated while walking away. Zander and Austin came over and smiled.

"Saw that," he whispered.

I rolled my eyes. "You see me training. I am not helpless, Zavier," I whisper back. "By the way, I am having one more training session before I retire to prepare for the hard journey that is pregnancy." Zavier chuckled, surprising people around us. They stared at him like he was a god in the flesh. "Hey! Don't think you could survive what I hear about having a pup, Alpha!" He rolls his eyes, a smirk plastered on his lips.

"I am sure I couldn't survive a large bump on my stomach for four months," he teased, grabbing me by the hands. Thanks to werewolf speed, I only had to have a pup in me for four to five months unlike the usual eight to nine months.

"Let's stuff a ten pound pillow underneath your shirt for the next four months and see how you feel when you take it off. Let's see the pain your back goes through just lugging that pillow around all day," I challenge.

"No thanks," he replies.

"I will make you wear a ten pound pillow, I promise," I whisper.

"Not going to happen," he says back.

My stomach had grown quickly within the past two weeks and it was frustrating. I couldn't pick up anything off the floor. The first time I dropped a spoons and tried to get it off the floor, but couldn't. Zavier laughed at me and when I finally did get the spoon I chuckled it at him. It didn't have any effect on him, but my brain wasn't laughing.

It was especially difficult to stop eating.

Zavier shoved it away. "I am not wearing a ten pound pillow on my stomach for today. That's your job," he said, sounding disgusted. My poor emotional mind took that as an insult. I growled and he held his hands up in a pleading gesture.

"Yeah, you'd better be scared of me. I am sexy ass woman that's going to have a pup and right now my emotions are running wild, so just do what I say. Put this on and have a free day. Let's see how long you last. If you last all today and tonight, you don't have to rub my feet. If you lose, then you have to get me ice cream," I wager, not knowing why I said he had to get me ice cream, but hey, that was fine with me.

Zavier cocked an eyebrow and took the weight pillow out of my hands and threw off his shirt. He strapped it behind his back, the mechanism clinging to his body. He shrugged and sat back down. "Is there a men's maternity section?" he joked.

I glared at him. "Now just go through the pain for giving birth and you'll be just like me."

He pecked my cheek. "Oh, to that I say no thanks."

Lunch was a miracle for me. Since I am actually having a pup, Zavier was forced to make me food. Well, before he had the pillow he offered to get me lunch. Now he was ordering Chinese take out from down the street. I found it pretty funny that he wanted me to answer the door.

"Please. Just answer the door. My pack would find me not as hard and strong as they think I am," he said, holding my hands.

"But you aren't as hard as they think. Just look at you. Sure you're strong, brave, hard-working, but you're also caring, loving, and sweet. Even though you are very demanding sometimes," I say, looking up at his face. A smirk was on his face.

"To you," he says, kissing my lips softly. He touched my extruded stomach, then moved away when the doorbell rang. "Now, please go get the food," he whispered, moving down the hall. I sighed and went down the stairs. I got the food and placed it on the table, calling out to Zavier.

He groaned as he came down the stairs, holding his back. "Damn, Nylarizza. How do you woman handle this?" He took a deep breath before sitting beside me and getting some food. "I thought my back was stronger."

"Do push ups with it or something," I suggested, taking a bite. "I wouldn't worry too much about your back." He growled and stood, unstrapping the weight and letting it fall to the ground. He let out a relieved sigh and threw it across the room, snarling.

"Never ever make me do anything like that again," he growled, narrowing his eyes at me.

Okay. I never thought birth would be this painful. I was experiencing some third degree burns in my abdomen. Well, what the heck? I was in the car, Zavier speeding towards the pack hospital. I was in yoga pants and a large shirt while Zavier was in a shirt and jeans, his hair tousled. It's late.

"Go faster, Zavier!" I demanded, pain flowing through me. He looks back at me quickly with worried eyes before gunning the gas, the car bursting forward. He suddenly brakes, carrying me into the hospital and setting me in the wheelchair. The doctors wheeled me away, taking me through swinging doors and another large double doors. Another shot of pain came to my stomach and I grimaced, biting my tongue until it bled. The nurse noticed.
