Chapter 10 - Overtime

3rd POV:

*The next day- End of work*

"Good night guys, we are going off work." Mr. Soh called into the office walking out with Mr. Lim next to him.

Kai rolled back with his chair stretching and yawning, obviously ready to get off work.

"My favorite gang, should we go to Mrs. Hwang's library café and grab some dinner?" Kai suggested.

"We are your only gang, you don't have many friends, forgot? Anyways sure. Let's go!" Luhan yelled and Sehun nodded in agreement.

Xiao Zhan however continued working on his computer and his three friends started to get suspicious.

All three of them surrounded Xiao Zhan and Kai made the first move.

Kai placed his hand on Xiao Zhan's shoulder from behind and slid it down to his chest in a seductive manner whispering, "This is unusual...you usually are the first person to get off work. What are you doing working so long into the night?"

Xiao Zhan, who was immersed in his work, jerked in surprise when an unidentified person suddenly grabbed his man-tiddies.

After he had confirmed that that person was Kai and he did not have to punch someone for sexual harassment, he turned back to his work.

"I am working overtime. Mr. Wang requested it."

Luhan and Kai looked at each other with enlarged eyes and could not contain their excitement.

"Are you saying that Mr. Wang told you to stay with him to work! Overnight! The two of you! Alone in this office!" Luhan half said, half shouted.

"Well yea, something like that." Xiao Zhan replied, his eyes still glued to the computer.

Kai and Luhan let out a screech and hugged each other jumping up and down while Sehun stood at the side giving them a 'what-the-frick-is-wrong-wif-you-guys' look.

Xiao Zhan rolled his eyes at his friends, rose from his desk and began shoving them out of the office.

"Zhanie baby, you cannot let this opportunity pass. You have 3 days of overtime work where you are alone with Wang Yi Bo. You have to strike and make him yours, ya know. Push him against a wall." Kai told Xiao Zhan as he was walking him, Sehun and Luhan out of the office.

Luhan chuckled, "Well from my observation, Wang Yi Bo does not look like somebody who can be claimed and definitely not thrown against a wall. He is 100% someone who claims others as his."

Xiao Zhan looked at Luhan, a confused expression plastered on his face.

Sehun spoke up, "In short, Luhan means that Yi Bo ain't gonna be submissive to anyone. He is a top and Luhan guarantees it."

"Oh yea," Kai jumped in.

"In that case you better start learning to to bend over like a..."

Xiao Zhan cut Kai's words off by slamming his palm over his mouth and glaring at him dangerously.

"Owkay figne. I wounk gow there." Kai muffled under Xiao Zhan's hand.

Xiao Zhan released his hand from Kai's mouth and gave his friends a sigh.

"I know he's popular among the ladies and he is a little hot and sexy, but that does not mean I like him." Xiao Zhan stated when they had finally exited the building and stood at the entrance.

Luhan and Kai scoffed loudly, "Oh come on, ever since the first time we went out together and you confessed to us you were bisexual, it was obvious that you liked him. I mean for the past week you have been looking like a lost puppy looking for his master. I see your eyes search for him every time. Like you can't lie." Kai laughed.

Xiao Zhan pouted and muttered, "Owkay fine. Maybe I do like him, but that does not secure my happiness or his feelings. I am so scared he will find out that I like him, causing him to end up hating me and firing me because he is disgusted in me. Therefore, I would rather be around him and have him not knowing my feelings than him finding out and then forcing me to leave."

Sehun and Kai remained quiet at the very reasonable point however Luhan spoke up.

"Of course he knows you like him, you dumbnut. You were looking at him like a lovesick puppy on the first day of work." Luhan half-said, half-shouted again.

Kai and Sehun nodded in approval.

"And if he does not know, then he's a bigger idiot than Kai." Sehun added causing Kai to whip his head around in offence.

"Hey! I told you she was always walking hand in hand with this other guy. How was I supposed to know she liked me and was trying to make me jealous." Kai exclaimed defending his intelligence.

"Anyways, enjoy your time, I will take these two troublemakers out for dinner. Liu Haikuan is coming to so just in case you end work before midnight you can join us." Sehun said waving, dragging Kai and Luhan with him away from the office.

Xiao Zhan sighed and turned around to go back into the office when he heard a silent whimper.

Xiao Zhan whipped his head around again and searched for the source of the noise.

After 2 minutes, he had discovered a cardboard box with a little puppy inside.

The puppy tugged Xiao Zhan's heartstrings and he knew he would never be able to leave the poor puppy out in the cold.

Xiao Zhan carefully removed the black, white-socked puppy from the box and placed it gently into his jacket to keep it warm.

"Hello sweetie. I'll take care of you now okay. What kind of shitty assho-...nevermind it's okay. You are with me now, I will be your mother and I won't abandon you."

Xiao Zhan snuggled his nose into the puppy's neck and turned to walk back to the office when he bumped into Haikuan.

"Xiao Zhan what are you doing out in the cold? Don't you have to work overtime? You should...OH MY GOD...it's so cute! Where did you find it?" Haikuan suddenly screeched, scaring Xiao Zhan for a bit due to the drastic change of personality.

"I found him in a box by the bush over there." Xiao Zhan stated pointing to the bush.

Haikuan gently lifted the puppy out of Xiao Zhan's arm's, "Terrible what people do nowadays, right?" Haikuan added.

Xiao Zhan suddenly realised how fortunate he was to have Haikuan, "Haikuan, I have to work overtime today so I have no idea where to place the puppy. Since you are having dinner with Luhan, Sehun and Kai could you please bring the puppy with you and then pass it to Luhan. He will bring it home for me."

"Are you sure Luhan will be fine with pets?" Haikuan asked looking up from the puppy at Xiao Zhan.

"He most definitely is!" Xiao Zhan said smiling, getting closer to Haikuan to pet and cuddle the dog.

Haikuan's heart started racing to dangerous levels as Xiao Zhan's hands were caressing his because he was holding the tiny dog.

"I think you should go back to work, you can't be absent from the office for too long." Haikuan reminded Xiao Zhan that he should go back to the office.

This was because he could not hold back the temptation to kiss Xiao Zhan any longer if he continued to stay.

Xiao Zhan released his hold on Haikuan's hand and started walking backwards to the company waving.

"What will you name it!?" Haikuan shouted.

Xiao Zhan thought for a while and then shouted back with a smile, "WuJi" before he disappeared into the office building.

Little did they know someone was watching their sweet little moment.
