Breakfast

Fua Lin must have been exhausted since she did not wake up after her alarm snoozed for the third time before Gao Quin got out from bed and turned it off herself. She was so excited when she returned to her room last night only to find her best friend already sleeping and snoring lightly, she had a lot of questions for her, but did not wake her up, they still a long way.

"What time is it?" Fua Lin suddenly sat up from the bed.

She went downstairs and headed straight to the kitchen, she was already familiar with the Gao's home because she spent most of her time here since she was usually left alone at home. Her grandmother used to work in the city as a court secretary and when she came home, it was already late at night, as for her parents, well, they were always not around.

Just when he was about to turn on the lights, she was startled when a dark figure suddenly appeared in front of her flicking the lights open first. Startled, she steps back but lost her footing, so she fell on her back with a loud thump, "Awww", she thought her bottom was going to bruise because of the fall. "Sweetheart?" Gao Chen said when she heard her groaning in pain. Seeing the girl on the floor, he hurriedly helped her up "are you hurt?" he said in a panic, what was she doing in their kitchen?

"I'm fine. I was just startled that's all." Fua Lin said, but oh, her bottom hurts huhu.

"Are you sure?" Gao Chen asked seeing the discomfort of the girls face, but she just nodded.

"What were you doing here this early? Are you hungry?" he asked and fetch her a glass of water.

"I was trying to cook rice and prepare some food for breakfast," she said while emptying the glass of water.

"You don't have to do that sweetheart, I can take care of you." he then winked at her, but instead of being touched, a solid punch landed on Gao Chens' shoulder, "I already told you not to call me that, what if Gao Quin hears you?!" the girl glared at him.

"Ouch, that really hurts." he scrunched backwards and leaned on the counter to show that her punch really hurt him.

"I'm sorry Gao Chen, I did not mean to punch you so hard." then she rubbed on the boys' shoulder to ease the pain.

But Gao Chen grabbed her hand, "Are you really worried about me?" then he smiled brightly at the girl. "You!" Fua Lin punched him again, this time she made sure that it would really hurt.

"Aww, it really hurts sweetheart!" this time it did hurt, Gao Chen did not know that this girl had so much strength hidden in that little body of hers.

She turns her back towards the annoying man and searched where the rice was so she can start cooking, but before she had a chance to find it, Gao Chen was already rinsing the rice while he whistled. He then put the rice in the cooker, and then turned around and got some vegetables in the refrigerator, and rinsed them thoroughly. He then quickly cut them into bite-sized and got a pan to start to saute it, while on the other hand he also got some eggs and cracked it with just one hand on another bowl and mixed it some tomatoes and onions, then he added some seasoning and whisked it gently using a fork then poured the mixture in another pan.

Woah, Gao Chen, this guy, he was really good in the kitchen, it seems that she did not even have to offer help because he was almost about done with preparing breakfast, "Do you want fried eggs?" she snapped back when he asked her all of a sudden. She just shook her head to tell him that she was okay with what he was preparing, in fact, she can't wait to have a taste, the smell was already mouth-watering.

"Here taste this?" Gao Chen suddenly offered, then he placed the spoon with the vegetables he sauteed in front of her and blew it before he urged her to open her mouth. "It's good!" Fua Lin can't help but exclaimed, his cooking was really good, almost like her grandmothers. Gao Chen also can't help but smile, so he teased her a little "Am I not the best boyfriend, sweetheart?"
