"Something happened with Fua Lin!

"Grandma I'm home!" Fua Lin said right after she closed the door, no matter how frustrating school was, she was always happy to come home to her grandmother.

"Xiao Lin!" suddenly a voice so familiar was heard, she turned around and saw a crying woman in their living room, it was her mother Chen Zeyi whom she has not seen or heard for the last 4 years, how is she suddenly here?

"Xiao Lin, take your seat first" her grandma urged her, seeing that anger was written all over her face, which she understood.

"Xiao Lin, forgive me." Chen Zeyi started. "Your father and I got divorced overseas, and it took me a long time to finally see you. I'm sorry." Chen Zeyi cried, but Fua Lin was left unfazed.

"What does your divorce have to do with me? I am already with grandma, you should also live your lives too." Fua Lin was about to stand, she planned to go to her room and lock herself.

"I'm here to take you to the US." Chen Zeyi blurted out, she needed Fua Lin, she knew about the educational plan Fua Zhao left for her, it was enough to pay all her debt.

"What are you saying Zeyi?" Grandma said, she was shocked and hurt at the same time, they got divorced and now her precious granddaughter taken away, how can she live.

"Mother-in-law, now that Fua Zhao and I had decided to cut all ties between us, I think I also have to take my daughter with me." Chen Zeyi said without blinking, not caring about the shock expression on the old woman's face.

"I won't come with you, you have to kill me first!" Fua Lin declared.

"Don't be stubborn Fua Lin! I am still your mother!" Chen Zeyi said proudly, she doesn't really know her daughter at all, because if she did, she would have known that her daughter can do anything she set her mind on it.

"You don't have to worry about that." Fua Lin said. "If there is nothing else, you can leave, please forget about me." then she turned to her grandma who was pale.

"I will not leave without you. Did you forget, I have the right to take you with me, and you can't do anything about it since you are not of legal age yet." Chen Zeyi was persistent.

"Didn't you know that after you abandoned me, I filed for legal guardianship as per fathers' instruction and he signed the documents before he left to run after you. So legally I am no longer your daughter, my sole family is grandma." a sound slap was heard in the living room.

Fua Lin did not even cry, she just turned her head and looked her mother straight in the eye, "Now do you still want to call yourself my mother? I can have you arrested for beating me." Fua Lin was now shaking with anger, and tears started streaming down her cheeks.

"Please Zeyi, come back another day for us to talk. Don't do this to your daughter." the old woman begged her granddaughters' mother weakly.

But instead of listening, she shoved the old woman resulting for her to hit her head on the table and she collapsed on the floor pale and bleeding.

"Grandma!" Fua Lin immediately ran over her grandmother, she called for an ambulance immediately while she tried to stop the bleeding with her hand, she did not even notice her mother leave hurriedly.

After the ambulance came, her grandmother was automatically sent to the operating room, and she stayed outside, violently shaking with blood all over her while she is still wearing her school uniform.

My Love: [Where are you Fua Lin? I went to your house and nobody is there?]

My Love: [Have you eaten? Can I call you?] --- Gao Chen was really worried now, even if she was mad, she didn't ignore him like this, as he was in a daze, he suddenly heard his father "I will be there, don't be afraid everything will be okay."

"Father, what's wrong, why are you in a hurry?" Gao Chen asked as he was watching his father threw his briefcase to the sofa and picked up his car keys again.

"Something happened with Fua Lin!" and that was all he needed to say for Gao Chen to grab the keys from his hand and immediately jumped to the drivers' seat on his fathers' car. It only took them fifteen minutes to reach the hospital, Gao Chen jumped out the car not even parking it properly to go inside and look for Fua Lin.

He did not really know which room Fua Lin was in, so he dialled her number, it was just ringing, his anxiety level was shooting the roof, then he felt a slight tap on his shoulder, it was his father who signaled him to follow.
