Win her over

The bag in Jinjing's hand fell down. Her eyes went wide. Once she left city B she never wanted to meet any of its inhabitants. For four long years in city S, she never crossed paths with anyone from her past life. But here, in a country miles away from her own, she stumbled upon….

"Yun Luwei…!!!" she was shocked. All the memories came back rushing to her. She stood there completely blank. She only came out of the reverie when the professor entered the class. Without saying a word, she quickly entered and sat down on a desk far away in the corner.

The entire duration of the lecture, Jinjing could not focus on what was being taught. She was trying to figure out the sudden appearance of Yun Luwei.

What did destiny hold in store for her? Why did she meet someone from her past once again? Was it good or bad? There were too many questions running through her mind and she had answers to none of them.

Sighing helplessly, Jinjing left it up to fate. There was no point worrying about something out of one's control.

Concentrating on whatever was left of the lecture, Jinjing felt all the nervous energy leaving her. After classes, Luwei found his way to Jinjing.

"hey Jinjing! where have you been for so many years?" an excited Luwei inquired. He was one of the people who had missed her presence a lot.

In reply, Jinjing merely smiled. She kept moving towards the cafeteria and Luwei kept on tagging along. She very well knew that Luwei did not intend to leave her be. Out of courtesy, she asked "how have you been?"

A bashful grin immediately crept on Luwei's face. 'Jinjing asked me, how I had been? ', he was blushing like a teenager whose crush just spoke to him for the first time.

Jinjing was no more the naïve teenage girl oblivious of the people around her. She could comprehend the look on Luwei's face precisely.

Without waiting for him to reply, she walked past him. She did not want to deal with all those feeling again. Her once broken heart had healed but, the scars had left a deep mark on her.

Regaining his focus, Luwei caught up to Jinjing. "hey where are you going? Let's have lunch together. My treat."

"no thanks" Jinjing, turned him down politely.

An adamant Luwei said in a complaining tone "hey! We are fellow countrymen, moreover, classmates. I don't know anything we are having lunch together." As soon as he completed his sentence, he took the liberty to pull on Jinjing'g hand "I am not taking no for an answer, I don't know anyone here and it's good to meet you after such a long time."

Controlling her tone, Jinjing said "okay fine! But let go off my hand. I don't like it" she made it crystal clear, that she did not like him touching her.

"I am sorry. I just got carried away. Won't do it again." Luwei apologized. He had to retreat in order to advance.

When Jinjing left city B, Luwei once overheard a conversation between Buzz and Meili, which enlightened him about Liang and Jinjing. He was now aware that, after the announcement of the possible engagement between Liang and Jiaying, Jinjing left the city. He tried searching for Jinjing himself but in vain.

Coincidently, meeting Jinjing today, made him a fir. believer in fate. Luwei had decided, to not let go this time. Destiny had giving him yet another opportunity to woo the girl he always liked and he was going to do everything in his power to win her over.
