What’s the matter love?

Jinjing enjoyed her breakfast with her parents. Even though her heart was hurting, she carried a smile on her face, so that her parents would not worry for her anymore. But she was mistaken, they were her parents, they gave birth to her and were well aware of every gesture she made.

Papa Lee finished breakfast and bid the mother daughter duo goodbye before leaving for work. Jinjing helped Mama Lee to do the dishes. Soon Mama Lee received a call from the hospital regarding an emergency. Originally, she had taken an off to spend time with Jinjing, but she had to leave in a rush.

"don't worry Ma! I will be fine. In fact, I will be going to the mall. Have to buy somethings." Pondering a bit, she said "as it is, it has been a long time since I left, want to look around."

She hugged Mama Lee and went back to her room to get ready for the mall. She dressed up in a simple pair of skinny distressed jeans in dark blue, a white tank top and a lavender kimono jacket with floral print. Tying her hair in a neat ponytail and putting on her white sneakers, Jinjing took a final look in the mirror before picking up her bag and heading out to the mall.

She took a cab to the nearest mall, which happened to be the best one with almost all of the famous brands.

Jinjing did not want to buy anything in particular, she was just looking around. As she was passing by a high end jewelry shop, she spotted a beautiful and delicate diamond bracelet.

While admiring the piece of jewelry, she heard familiar voices from inside the shop. Tilting her head, she saw a couple checking out some jewelry inside. Out of curiosity, she decided to walk in. Just a few steps and the girl turned around.

"AAhhhhh….!!! Jinjing my bestie." Meili yelled her name in excitement and ran towards her with her arms wide open. She pulled her bestie in a bear hug almost crushing her.

Jinjing did not mind a bit, she knew that Meili was a genuine person. Buzz looked around at the staff gawking at the two best friends and shook his head. Smiling, he made the payment and received the bag. He headed in the direction of the girls, who were now talking animatedly.

"hey Jinjing!!! how are you?" Buzz greeted Jinjing and stood beside Meili.

Looking at the two, who were like tom and jerry all along, stand so lovingly next to each other, her curiosity rose. Raising her eyebrows, she looked at Meili and found her blushing. She couldn't help but exclaim "this is so out of character for you!"

"We are engaged to be married soon." Buzz informed Jinjing. All this while, when the two were talking, not once did it occur to Meili to inform her friend about her engagement and her impending marriage. She was busy gathering details about Jinjing.

Now it was Jinjing's turn to be surprised. With her mouth agape, she pulled Meili into a hug and mouthed "congratulations Mei!!! Wish you all the love and happiness. May God bless you with the best in life." She broke away from the hug a little misty eyed. She then turned to Buzz and congratulated him as well.

The trio headed for lunch to a fancy restaurant in the mall.

"Okay I want details. How did the ever bickering duo get engaged?" as soon as they sat at their table, Jinjing asked her friend.

"Okay! hold it girl. Let's order first. I am famished." Meili said while passing the menu to Jinjing.

She was surprised to see that Buzz had ordered all of Meili's favorite dishes. She was very happy for them. She genuinely wished them happiness.

While the food came, Meili and Buzz alternating briefed Jinjing about their journey so far. Soon the food was served and they started eating up.

All of a sudden, Meili put down her chopsticks dramatically and looked at Jinjing. Noticing her action, Buzz enquired, "what's the matter love?"
