"What? Did you say something?" She brought her ears near his mouth and asked him to repeat what he said earlier.

"I love you," He said once again in between his lips.

"Aiden, what are you saying? I still can't understand it…" Elina asked him once again.

But when her eyes noticed the scar near his neck, she understood that he was having difficulty speaking. So, she said,

"Come, let's go eat first. I made some light liquid food for you. Sam told me that you still find it difficult to eat anything solid and it hurts your throat."

She pulled his hands but he would not budge from where he was standing. So she let go of him and thought to bring the food bowl inside the walk-in closet to feed him.

But the minute she turned around, Aiden pulled her behind and hugged her. He then shouted,

"I said, I love you! I love you! I love you… Can you hear me now?"

Elina's face turned slightly pink and then to bright red within a few seconds.
