1 Backstory

Jade's P.O.V

I never thought that revenge could taste so bitter after wanting it for so long, but the sadness in her eyes is more than enough to tell you that I regret it.

I know that she didn't know the whole truth but before I could explain why I had to do it; the love of my life ran out of the room with tears streaming down her beautiful face.

You must be wondering what happened, well let me take you back to where it all started, 3 weeks before my 5th birthday.

Me and my best friend, Ava were playing in the park. A lot of girls looked at us in envy and some looked at us in distaste.

You see me and Ava have always been beautiful, even if we are only 4 our looks are still more beautiful than our average 4-10-year-old.

Ava has screaming green eyes, platinum blonde hair that fits perfectly with her fair skin.

I have midnight blue coloured eyes, pith black hair with a pale skin tone.

All the girls know that as we get more mature the more beautiful, we will be.

We were playing by the swings when I got a feeling that something bad was going to happen if I didn't go home.

I looked down at my black watch to see that it was 1:30, our parent were supposed to be home right now.

"Ava, we have to go home." I told her; I didn't have to speak very loudly as she was sitting right next to me.

"Why do we have to go now? We are still playing." She said as she looked up at me, I knew that if I didn't react quickly, I would fall under her spell.

"Because our parents are home and maybe we could get our mother to get us ice-cream." I told her, knowing that she would do anything for ice-cream.

"What are you waiting for let's go!!!" She shouted while running home. I started running after her, I was a lot faster than her because I actually enjoyed running.

Once I finally caught up to her, she had already started walking because she was out of breath.

"I will never understand how you can run so fast, this far without being out of breath." She said, still breathing hard and fast.

"I actually like running, unlike some people I know." I said while laughing.

She crossed her arms and glared at me.

When we arrived at my house, I tried to hug her, but she wasn't having any of it, I knew that she was mad that I laughed but I didn't realise that it was this bad.

She ran home before I could even get a word out.

I looked at my house, something was wrong, it was quiet too quiet.

I took slow steps but made it into the house within 5 minutes.

In the living room both my parents were on their knees, hands tied behind their backs facing me.

I hadn't realised that someone else was in the room, I walked to my mother wanting to untie her but before I could get there, Ava's parents walked into the room.

"Aww, look hoe came to the party." Ava's mother said, a smirk plastered on her face.

My mother started to cry asking them to spare me, she told them that they could kill both of them if they only spared me.

"Oh, we won't kill her, but we can make her watch as the life drains from your eyes." Ava's father said from behind his wife.

Before I could say anything, both my mother and father were already shot.

I will never forget their last words: No matter what people say, we loved you, our little angel.
