1 The Lost Child

"Waaa... Waaa...", the crying of a child was being echoed throughout the place.

It was a Black day. The storm was approaching near the city and most of the people were asked to evacuate.

However, it wasn't possible for all to escape safely as some of them were confused and some couldn't grasp the situation properly.

Some were in their respective homes, praying and hoping that the storm would fade away and no one would be hurt.

However, by mere prayer nothing is possible! It is necessary to do some action as every action one does give you some sort of result.

Amidst this storm, a girl was born. And as soon as she was born, the force of the storm increased and the cyclone that was moving slowly started to pick up some velocity.

The small girl, who was born here, was abandoned and all of the family members ran away.

A small and poor girl like her was left to face the huge storm. It was as if she was just a sacrifice.

But she didn't die. She survived the huge storm. Well, it would be better to say that she was saved.

"Waaa... Waaa..."

"Eh? What is this noise? A baby?"

A young man who was around his 20s suddenly heard the crying of the baby.

He started to walk towards the sound and soon reached the place from where he could hear the voice.

"I'm sure... I heard a cry from here..."

The man looked to his right and then left, but found nothing other than emptiness.

"Hmm... this is weird. Was I just hallucinating?"

The man scratched his head and then was about to go back and resume his travel when he heard another noise.

But this time it wasn't the sound or cry of a human, instead it was the sound of an animal or beast.

"Grrr...."

"Eh? What was that?"

He suddenly looked to his left and found the ground moving a little.

He started to march towards that place and saw it clearly.

A tail of an animal was seen.

"What? A tail? Is some beast trapped here?"

He was a kind man and was strong too. He immediately decided to remove the massive rock under which the beast was trapped. Beasts were something that humans feared so seeing someone approach it would be like a miracle.

He used his might and removed the rock and to his surprise, he found an unimaginable beast.

"Wha..."

He wasn't able to say anything. The beast that he just saw was rarest among most of the rarest beasts found in the empire.

"A... A Black Tiger?"

It was a Black tiger which was a rare species of beast. White tigers could be found if searched a bit, but the black tigers were very rarely found. It would be a one-in-a-million chance to find such a species.

"It is more like a cub than a fully grown tiger!" he exclaimed.

However, there was something else, that made him puzzled for a moment.

It was a baby. The black tiger was protecting a human baby from the rocks and the storm.

This was the first time in human history to ever see a beast protecting a human.

This was the Auxidental Year 109, when a human was protected by a beast for the first time!

This girl, who was found today by this man, would soon become the Ruby of The Ezira Empire! One of the greatest Empress of all times, but the journey of becoming the greatest is yet to unfold.
