Real Sister
On the meanwhile, Nara, Taaliyah's elder sister had a different life going on. Nara five years older than Taaliyah left home to pursue her bachelor degree. She had decided to take catering and hotel management.
Nara had always been a rebel in her life. But Taaliyah adored her. Nara known as the trouble maker in the family already had bad reputation.
A beautiful lively young girl with amazing talent in cooking and baking. Her long dark brown silky hair, layered. Her hour glass shaped body with perfect structure, and posture, her amazingly beautiful voice and eyes that resemble melted chocolate. Every thing was perfect. But she was never in luck. She had dyslexia, hence she always had trouble with her studies. Bright but cannot score well often. Hence she had different interests and ideas unlike the other children.
Nara had a best friend turned boy friend at school. In the old school Taaliyah had learned. But she had greater twist in life. Nara got almost expelled from school.
Nara and Zayn had been best friends but got added to their circle. Mike. But Mike was always in love with Nara. 11th grade students. Matured and seniors at school but it made no difference when it comes to gossips. When Mike expressed his feelings, Zayn began to grow jealous and expressed feelings for Nara, but Nara had always had crush on Zayn too. But she never told him that. One day when the three were sitting on a stairway near their class during a lunch break, Muke and Zayn got into an argument with Nara sitting in the middle of them.
"Zayn you have feeling that you are something," Mike declared. Zayn got angry. He understood that Mike is referring to Nara being in relationship with him.
"Yes I do, so what," he said and put his arms around Nara's shoulder. At the same time, Mike also pulled her from the other side. And both leaned in and kissed her cheek. Left and Right. Nara was shocked. She got up. The boys got angry. Zayn especially. He took the collar of Mike and engaged in massive fight. Tearing each others shirt, punching each other's face. Nara attempting to stop her fight.
But the problem was this has been not only caught in CCTV but also watched by many students and few teachers. The three got into some serious fight.
Principal walked into the scene and caught the three red handed.
"Come to my office," he ordered them. The kids spread the news everywhere.
Nara was caught making out with two guys at a time. Both her friends. Handsome Zayn and Smart Mike. Nara is such a bitch. It was the guys who did it, but it the girl who got the name.
The usual leave and throne story where the girl, Nara became the leave whether the she touched the thron, or whether the thorn pricked her. The effect was the same. She was torn, not her, others tore her with the rumours.
Even though it was evident in the CCTV footage that she did not initiate anything, she was blamed to be the one provoking the guys, misleading them and creating the crime scene where the boys ended up fighting.
"No, sir, it's wrong," Zayn said angrily. his argument led to calling the parents of all three. Nara died inside. 'End, this is the end for my life,'
The gossip reached little Taliyah's ear. "No, my sister is not like that," she told everyone. She stood up for her big sister. But she saw her parents coming to school. She understood that it is danger.
The next she saw was her sister being slapped by her father in front of everyone. Nobody even respected her enough to ask what had happened. Zayn was dragged away by his parents but he saw it, and Mike was taken away too. But Nara had to suffer all the blame and consequences because she happend to be a girl and she had to submit herself to the gender norms and roles in the society. So people blamed her. She was considered as a shameless female who kissed the guys in the end. One who two timed in the friendship during a class hour.
Zahir and Nihala did not understand her. All they cared about was how insulted they felt because of her. They hated it. They lost face and they showed it on her. Father especially than mother. When Nihala try to console Nara, she would dragged away and lock Nara in the room. Taliyah would secretly visit her sister. And the spend time with her. She would ask her sister what exactly happened and spread in school.
But one day she had to pass a terrible news to her sister.
"Zayn changed school, he left, he took transfer," Taliyah informed this. She saw for the first time, Nara crying like someone had died. But indeed it was her heart that died and never felt alive again. Nara was affected by everything.
A week later after her suspension, Nara went back to school. She stopped talking to everyone. Nobody saw her laugh again no matter how hard her friends tried. Her heart had died the moment Zayn left. He never contacted, texted her, said anything to her but instead removed her from his contacts, Instagram but he forgot to unfriend her from Facebook. It was what killed Nara everyday. He was no longer in the country. He was no longer the same Zayn she knew for 11 years. She completely drifted apart from everyone. But Mike never stopped following her and remained as her best friend without spending time with her.
After school graduation, Nara had a massive fight at home and joined a college for Catering and Hotel Management. She wished to become a chef. She had no interest in continuing with different interdisciplinaries in university around their district. Hence she left. She took admission in the North Village District and stayed in the college dorm. Mike went with her but nobody knew it not even her. Her life began there.
Taliyah would always wait for her sister's call every evening and missed spending time with her. But one day she wondered, "Will I end up like my sister? Will I feel the same way like her?" Derek flashed before her.
