Surprise

The office door opened and there was a girl. Not an ordinary girl but my best friend ELIANA. Oh my god. How come she is here?

"Harlow?" she said.

I stood up from my seat and walked towards her. I can't believe she is here. I felt so bad that I left her in Elon's dungeon. We've tried a million ways to break in but it didn't happen. I felt guilt creeping inside me for every single day that I left her there. I thought she was facing worst fate. But I'm happy that she is fine. It looks like she have escaped long ago. I am very happy for her. I can't help but I went and hugged her.

"I'm sorry I didn't wanna leave you but you made me." I said and tears started coming out of my eyes.

"shh stop see I'm happy now. It's a good thing that you left me. See I found my mate and I'm very happy" she said.

"M-mate who is it?" I asked her.

"It's him" she showed the person behind me. It's the alpha that brought me.

I looked behind me to see him Hendrix standing up from his seat and walking towards us.

"So she is the Harlow who is your best friend and your brothers mate" he asked Eliana.

"Yes she is" said Eliana.

"Ohh, It's nice to meet you finally. I'm Hendrix" he said looking directly at me.

"I heard about you. You are the most feared alpha, it's so nice to finally meet you. I'm happy that Eliana got someone like you as her mate to protect her."

I shook my hands with him.

"Why is she in your office?"Eliana asked Hendrix.

He said all about what happened at the mall. About how I saved him from the man with a gun of silver bullets.

"Ohhh is that the reason you brought her here. You don't have to worry about she knows about werewolves since she is mate of one." Eliana said defending me.

He seemed satisfied by her explanation and nodded his head.

"Can I go now? Or is there anything you wanna ask me? My mate might be worried about me" I said.

"You are not going anywhere. I will bring you something to eat and you are gonna spend the rest of your day in here with me"she said.

"But"

"No but's . I have a lot to tell you come" she said and started pulling me out of Hendrix's office.

I looked towards him with an expression screaming to save me from her. But he just looked at me with pity.

She then dragged me along all the corridors of her mansion showing me and explaining about every single detail. She kept on bickering about how she designed the whole house.

I visited their pack lands along with her. She introduced me to her beta Mike and his mate Monica. They are closest to her in the pack. She showed me where the children play and have fun. Their pack also has some pet store. That's what impressed me the most. Me and Eliana spent a lot of time there playing with different breeds of cute little puppies. We spent so much time roaming in the streets of their pack. I'm so glad that she is leading a happy life after what she went through. Suddenly I felt the urge to hug her. I hugged her tight.

"Hey what's wrong?" she asked me.

"Nothing" I said and smiled and wiped a tear from my eye.

We then made our way into ice cream shop. We ate our favourite ice cream chocolate chip and vanilla ice cream. It felt so good spending time with my best friend after a very long time. This made me realise how truly I missed her. This is why we have to be thankful for the small things happening in our life. It felt so good to spend time with her. We roamed in the streets till it became dark and finally went home. What I forget over this time is about Edmond. He will be raising hell over our pack that I was gone.Moreover he doesn't know if I'm safe or not. How stupid I was?? I have to contact Edmond immediately.

I turned towards Eliana to ask him for a way to contact Edmond. By now we are inf ront of the mansion.

"Hey I have to contact Edmond, he might be so worried abo.." before I got to finish the sentence we heard a loud bang inside the house. It was so so loud. I ran inside the house and my guess was correct. Both Hendrix and Edmond are fighting with each other. The damage has been done Hendrix's face is covered with bruises and blood is running down his face. Edmond also looked beaten but he has less damage than Hendrix. His eyes are golden showing that he is about to let his wolf.Then he smelled me. He turned towards towards me and walked over to me. He came closer and hugged me, he kept his face in my neck and smelled me. He is on verge of loosing control. I stayed in my place without moving an inch. I forget what was around me and stayed in his embrace. I forgot about Hendrix,Eliana. After what it felt like an hour he left me. His eyes are normal now. He started checking me for injuries.

"Are you okay? Did they hurt you?" he asked me.

"No, I'm okay" I said.

"I'm sorry. I should have told you that I'm safe, I was so stupid. I'm sorry" I told him without looking into his eyes.

He placed his hand under my chin and lifted my head up. He came close to my face and whispered in my ear

"It's okay all I want id for you to be safe"

I melted into a puddle with his words. He must have been so tensed about my disappearance. He even came to the most strongest pack for me. He didn't have an ounce of fear for coming here I can see it in his eyes. All he is scared of is losing me. No human can provide me this much love as he can. At that moment I understood how strong a love of werewolf towards his mate is. If I am not in love with Edmond before then I am now. Then I remember about Hendrix. Edmond doesn't know that he bet up his sister's mate.

I left Edmond and went into living room to see Eliana treating Hendrix's wounds with tears in her eyes. I don't know what's gonna happen now.
