1 A new home in Ponyville.
It was a beautiful morning, the birds were singing, the flowers were blooming, the rabbits were jumping, and in PonyVille the ponies were going about their business, always busy with their chores. Far away, a lonely young alicorn was walking through the forest, his name was Brave Heart, he had fur black as night, mane and tail white as stars, silver eyes and he was about 16 or 17 years old and his Fluffy Mark was a heart with wings, he had a gentle smile on his face although deep inside hid a great loneliness, he was looking for a place to call home, after so much time traveling all over Equestria, Brave Heart was tired of always being alone, he lost count of why how many cities he had already passed through and through all of them he had been expelled. It's because?
Because of a prophecy created on the day of his birth, which labeled him as the unique evil that would threaten all of Equestria. But to understand this better we need to go back a little to the past.
About 16 or 17 years ago a Unicorn named Catastrus spread chaos, suffering and evil throughout Equestria, several tried to stop it but no one could, Princess Celestia tried to face and defeat Catastrus but the power of the Unicorn was devastating too much and Celestia ended up being defeated, the hope of stopping Catastrus was over, but then two great heroes appeared, a Pegasus and a Unicorn who together defeated the evil Catastrus, but the victory over him took its toll and the two great heroes sacrificed their lives across Equestria. Shortly after the battle, the prophecy of the return of Catastrus was born, which said the following:

The prophecy soon spread throughout Equestria, and Brave Heart being born as the male Alicorn only proved that the prophecy was true, because of this Brave Heart was treated as an aberration by everyone in Equestria, some believed that he was the one who would bring Catastrus back. and others think he is the reincarnation of Catastrus himself, which is why he is always alone wandering the world looking for a place to call home.
After days wandering through the forest alone, he arrives at PonyVille hoping that this could be the home he has been looking for. Brave Heart watches the city curiously, there was a lot of movement in the streets and it looked like they were preparing the city for something like a celebration. Without wasting any more time, the Alicorn walked to the entrance of the city but stopped because he was afraid that the people would send him away.
Brave Heart (thoughts): Well, I hope I don't get sent away like in other cities- He thought nervously-
Brave Heart passed through the main entrance and looked at the city with admiration for being in such a beautiful place. Unbeknownst to him many ponies noticed him and looked at him in disgust as if he were a beast. Brave Heart stopped when he heard the ponies whispering mean things and insulting him.
Pony 1: What does he think he's doing here?
Pony 2: Well, they say there's always someone to spoil someone else's good morning.
Pony 3: Let's talk to the Mayor so she can get this freak out of our town.
Brave Heart upon hearing this was sad and hurt and started walking with his head down trying to ignore the insults that were said to him while everyone's scornful gaze intimidated him.
Brave Heart (Thoughts): Maybe it wasn't a good idea to come here- He thought sadly-
The young Alicorn was about to turn and walk away when...
???: Hello!
Brave Heart heard a female voice and he turned to see a mare with a pale raspberry coat, a fluffy mane and tail that was a bright raspberry color, pale cerulean eyes and she had a Cutie Mark has two blue balloons with yellow strings and a yellow balloon with blue strings. Brave Heart was a little nervous about meeting a new person and fearing how he would be treated by them.
Pinkie Pie: Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie! You're new? You must be new! I've never seen you around here in PonyVille before, so you have to be new!-He said happily-
Brave Heart was taken aback by her cheerful tone, but felt he could at least talk to her to try and strike up a conversation.
Brave Heart: Y-Yes, I'm new. My name is Brave Heart.
Pinkie Pie: Brave Heart huh? I've never heard any pony with that kind of name before! But my Pinkie Sense told me that I would meet some new pony soon and now I see in front of me a new pony!
Pinkie then realized that Brave Heart had wings and a horn and let out a big sigh.
Pinkie Pie: *sighs* Are you an alicorn!?
When he saw that Pinkie Pie had realized that he was an Alicorn he just nodded to please her, already knowing that he would be treated badly by her, but that never happened, what came next surprised him.
Pinkie Pie: I never thought I'd meet an alicorn stud! This day just got better! -she declared excitedly-
Brave Heart (Thoughts): Is she happy to meet me?! -She thought in disbelief-
Pinkie Pie: Oh! Before I forget!
Pinkie runs off in a blur, but instantly returns to reveal a wagon.
Pinkie Pie: This is my welcome wagon! Hope you like!
Pinkie presses a button on the wagon, revealing a microwave oven, small flagpoles, and musical horns. Then a fun song started to play and Pinkie started to sing, which surprised Brave Heart.

Pinkie Pie: Wait for it!
The microwave oven then explodes a lot of confetti on Brave Heart and he is dumbfounded. But soon that look turned to one of happiness as he smiled and let out a small chuckle.
Brave Heart: That was amazing Pinkie! I loved it!
Pinkie Pie: Really? Alive!
Pinkie ran over and hugged Brave Heart tightly, which surprised him before she let go.
Pinkie Pie: Well Brave Heart, since you're Ponyville, I'll welcome you.
Brave Heart: Thank you Pinkie Pie -said with a happy smile-
Pinkie Pie: You're welcome, it's always nice to make a new friend.
Brave Heart: S-Are we friends? -asked hopefully-
Pinkie Pie: Sure, silly. -He said happily-
Brave Heart was happy to hear that.
Pinki Pie: See you later Brave Heart, but first have a cupcake!
Pinkie pulls a cupcake out of thin air and hands it to Brave Heart, who he takes with a bright smile. Pinkie then walks off to who knows where, but she has a thought on her mind about Brave Heart.
Pinkie Pie (Thoughts): That Brave Heart, he's actually kind of cute. Can't wait to meet you again.
Brave Heart looked at the cupcake with a smile as he also had something on his mind.
Brave Heart: (Thoughts) No one has ever given me a present before. I like Pinkie, she's the second pony I know that's been nice to me. I wonder if there are any other ponies here in PonyVille who are as cool as she was.
Brave Heart ate his cupcake before walking around Ponyville once more, minding his own business. . . until a raspy female tomboy voice called out from above.
???: CAREFUL!-
Brave Heart: Huh?
When Brave Heart looked up, a blue and rainbow blur collided with him from above, along with whoever bumped into him, it was rolling on the ground before eventually coming to a stop.
???: Oops. I'm sorry for this.
The pony got off Brave Heart and he saw that the pony that collided with him was a Pegasus mare with a light cerulean coat, moderate cherry eyes, a rainbow mane and tail, and her Cutie Mark is a cloud with a ray of three colors yellow, red and blue. She was flying in the air with her wings.
Brave Heart: Alright. I'm not hurt.
Rainbow Dash: Really? Well, all right then. Say, are you new to Ponyville? I've never seen you around here before.
Brave Heart: Yes. In fact, I just arrived. My name is Brave Heart.
Rainbow Dash: Brave Heart is it? Weird name. No offense.
Brave Heart: Does not offend. So what's your name?

Brave Heart: Alright then, let me get ready.
Brave Heart spread its wings and flew down to Rainbow Dash's level and she looked at Brave Heart with shock in her eyes.
Rainbow Dash: Are you an alicorn?!
Brave Heart: I suppose I am.
Rainbow Dash: That. . . It is. . . IMPRESSIVE! I've never met an alicorn before, and especially not an alicorn stallion. -she said excitedly-
Brave Heart: Well, I think you know one now. Are you ready to run?
Rainbow Dash made a competitive face and smiled.
Rainbow Dash: Alright then, first to the town square and back here will be the winner.
Brave Heart: That's it! I'm ready!
Rainbow Dash: All right. . . Prepare. . . to point. . . GO!
The two flew through Ponyville running into each other and surprisingly for the two of them, they were neck and neck.
Brave Heart (Thoughts): Wow, she's fast! But I am more. I'll go at her pace.
Rainbow Dash (Thoughts): Is he as fast as I am?! This is going to be fun!
Both Rainbow Dash and Brave Heart flew into the town square and both made a U-turn and flew back to the exact spot where they started and both finished at the same time, resulting in a tie in the race.
Brave Heart and Rainbow Dash: I won! What?!. . . WE HAVE A DRAW! NO WAY!
Rainbow Dash: Wow! We have to race again someday! That was one of the closest races I've ever had.
Brave Heart: Me too! That was fun, Rainbow Dash!
Rainbow Dash: Same way. Well I have to do some weather forecasting so I'll see you later Brave Heart.
Rainbow Dash flew away, but she had one thought on her mind about Brave Heart.
Rainbow Dash (Thoughts): Not many studs catch my eye, but there's something about Brave Heart that's just different. I don't know what it is but all I can say is I hope to see you again.
Brave Heart looked up at the sky where Rainbow Dash had just gone and he had a happy look on his face.
Brave (Thoughts): Rainbow Dash is really competitive and cool. I hope we can compete with each other again someday. It would make some of my days not seem so bad.
Brave Heart flew in the air for some time around Ponyville before seeing a large farm in the distance. He thought it looked interesting, so he decided to fly there before landing on the ground. This was the juiciest apple farm in Equestria, Sweet Apple Farm.
Brave Heart: Wow. What a great farm.
Brave Heart entered Sweet Apple Farm and looked around the farm for a while before he heard a female voice coming from the apple orchard.
???: YEE-HAW!
Brave Heart walked to where he heard the voice and saw a mare kicking an apple tree with her hind legs which caused the apples to fall into buckets that were under the trees. The mare has a bright orange coat, light yellow mane and tail, moderate sap green eyes, she had a three red apple Cutie Mark, and she was wearing a cowboy hat.
Brave Heart: Excuse me, miss.
Applejack turned to see Brave Heart and she smiled at him.
Applejack: Hello! I've never seen you around here before. You are new here in Ponyville.
Brave Heart: Yes, I am. My name is Brave Heart.
Applejack: Brave Heart? Now where have I heard that name before? Not that it matters. My name is Applejack, welcome to Sweet Apple Farm, home to the juiciest apples in Equestria.
Brave Heart: Really? Are they that good?
Applejack: Yeah, you bet. Want to try one?
Applejack took an apple from one of the hoof baskets and handed it to Brave Heart. He looked at the apple and took a bite of it and when he did, his eyes then turned into apple shapes for a split second as he couldn't believe how good it was. He then finished eating the apple with a smile on his face.
Brave Heart: Wow. That apple. . . It's the best I've ever tasted!
Applejack: *giggles* I told you so. The Apple family and I have run Sweet Apple Farm here for a long time.
Applejack then took a closer look at Brave Heart and saw that it had a horn and wings.
Applejack: Well, now that I see it, you're an alicorn.
Brave Heart: I suppose I am.
Applejack: I never thought I'd meet one, especially not a stud.
Brave Heart: Well, you just met.
Applejack: I think so. Anyway, I've got more work to do around here, so I better get back to work.
Brave Heart: Alright then. It was nice meeting you, Applejack.
Applejack: It was nice meeting you too Brave Heart and you are always welcome back at Sweet Apple Farm.
Brave Heart: Thank you. Bye Applejack.
Applejack: See you later, Sweetie.
Brave Heart and Applejack took their leave and Applejack had a thought on her mind as he returned to finish his work.
Applejack (Thoughts): That Brave Heart. He's not that ugly. Hope to meet you again someday.
Brave Heart also had a thought in his mind when Applejack said those last words to him.
Brave Heart (Thoughts): Sweetie? Is that supposed to be a nickname for me? Wow. With the exception of Sunny, no one has ever called me by a different name, and I actually kind of liked it.
Brave Heart flew back to Ponyville and he saw a large cylindrical shaped building with decorative pillars and pony carvings lining the lower and upper exterior. This was a clothing store in Ponyville called Carousel Boutique.
Brave Heart flew over to the boutique and took a good look at it.
Brave Heart: Hmm. It looks like a place where clothes are made. I wonder what kinds of clothes are in there.
Brave Heart entered the boutique and inside he saw a bunch of pony mannequins, some of which had different outfits to display. He then notices a unicorn mare who appeared to be working on a dress.
Brave Heart: Hello Miss, I was-
???: Calm down, please, I'll see you in a minute.
Her voice had a transatlantic English accent and it sounded like she was sewing something and she seemed to be doing it with her horn as both the horn and the sewing machine glowed a light cornflower blue magical aura.
The unicorn mare took a few minutes, but she finished sewing what looked like a purple dress and used her magic to place it on a nearby mannequin. She then turns towards Brave Heart, which gives you a better view of her. The unicorn mare had a pale white coat, an indigo mane and tail that were curly, and her eyes were a subdued sky blue with light cornflower blue-grey shade. Her Cutie Mark consisted of three blue diamonds like jewels.
Rarity: Welcome to the Carousel Boutique. How can I help you-
When Rarity turned towards Brave Heart and saw him, Rarity had a slight blush on her cheeks. Rarity's eyes were full of sparkles as they both stared at each other.
Brave Heart (Thoughts): Wow. Why is she looking at me so much? Did I do something I shouldn't? I hope she's not like the others who hate me.
Rarity (Thoughts): Oh. My. Our! He is an alicorn, and very handsome! Quick Rarity, talk to him.
Rarity: You're an alicorn!-She exclaimed in surprise-
Brave Heart: Um, Y-Yes, I am. -he said awkwardly-
Rarity: I've never seen such a beautiful alicorn stallion, the only alicorns we know in Equestria are Princess Celestia and her niece Princess Cadance.
Brave Heart (Thoughts): Did she call me cute? I. . . didn't expect that.
Rarity: Are you by any chance related to them or any ponies in the royal family?

Rarity: I see. Well my name is Rarity, what's your darling?
Brave Heart: My name is Brave Heart.
Rarity: Brave Heart. I've never heard such a fancy name.
Brave Heart: Yes. I've been hearing that a lot today since I arrived in Ponyville. -he said, flushed with the compliments Rarity had given him-
Rarity: Well anyway, how can I help you today Brave Heart?
Brave Heart: Oh, nothing special. I just came to see what clothes Ponyville has, and I must say they are very well made.
Rarity: Well, as you've just seen, honey, I'm actually responsible for making all those clothes in Ponyville.
Brave Heart: Really? Well, I must say that you really can become the best fashion designer in the world.
Rarity blushes at the compliment Brave Heart was giving her as she lets out a small laugh.
Rarity: Oh, thanks for the compliment, honey.
Brave Heart: You're welcome, I better go check out the rest of Ponyville. It was nice meeting you, Rarity. Hope to see you again.
Rarity: Okay... okay honey. -she said dreamily-
When Brave Heart left the boutique, Rarity let out a long dreamy sigh and leaned over the table and placed her hooves on her cheeks as she looked up with her heart in her eyes.
Rarity (Thoughts): Oh for Celestia! He is such a beautiful stallion with such beautiful silver eyes, his amazing mane and tail, he is truly divine!
Brave Heart (Thoughts): Rarity is very kind. I wouldn't mind seeing her again someday.
Brave Heart continued walking around Ponyville while daydreaming about how some ponies are being nice to him.
Brave Heart (Thoughts): Wow. This place is so cool. I never thought there would be such a wonderful place with wonderful ponies. Sunny was right when she said there was a place for me to call home, I just had to find it. Maybe this is my home. Sunny... it's been ten years since we last saw each other, she was the first pony that was ever kind to me. I miss you so much Sunny and I hope to see you again one day.
As Brave Heart was lost in thought, he accidentally bumped into a mare and the two fell to the flanks.
Brave Heart: Oh, I'm sorry! I was not paying attention!
???: N-It's not okay.
The mare spoke in a shy, gentle voice that gave Brave Heart the idea that she was probably introverted. When Brave Heart looks at the mare he is pitted against, he sees a Pegasus mare with a pale gold to gray coat, a pale pink mane and tail, cyan eyes, and she has a Cutie Mark of three butterflies with cyan bodies and pink wings. .
Brave Heart: Again. I'm sorry for bumping into you. Let me help you.
Brave Heart held out its hoof to Fluttershy and she looked down sheepishly as she grabbed hold of Brave Heart's hoof and he pulled her up.
Fluttershy: Thank you.
Brave Heart: You're welcome. My name is Brave Heart, what's yours?
Fluttershy:. . .Fluttershy.- she whispered-
Fluttershy spoke in a very low tone, so Brave Heart couldn't hear her.
Brave Heart: Huh?
Fluttershy: M-my name is Fluttershy. -speaks a little louder-
Brave Heart: Fluttershy. That's a beautiful name, it suits you.
Fluttershy smiled and blushed at the compliment as he turned his head to hide behind his hair. Out of the corner of her eye, however, she realizes that Brave Heart is an alicorn.
Fluttershy: Oh my goodness. Are you an alicorn?
Brave Heart: Yes. I'm actually new here in Ponyville and I have to say that Ponyville is a really great place.
Fluttershy: It's true. The ponies that live here are nice and the animals are great.
Brave Heart: Oh. Do you like animals?
Fluttershy: Oh yes, I love animals in every way.
Just then, a fluffy white rabbit jumped out of Fluttershy's mane and hopped towards Brave Heart and gave him a small smile.
Brave Heart: Oh. Hello, little friend.
Fluttershy: This is Angel, my pet bunny. Say hi, Angel.
Angel nods to Brave Heart as he has also done the same.
Fluttershy: Um, sorry for the rush Brave Heart, but Angel and I have to go now. I have some animals I need to feed.

Angel knocked Fluttershy's hoof and he had a mischievous expression on his face as he crossed his arms with a sly smile on his face. Fluttershy realized what he meant just by looking at him.
Fluttershy: What? Oh. . . Hmm. . . no, I don't have a crush on him, Angel. B-but I mean, n-it's not that I don't think he's a cute pony, but he just is. . . different.
Brave Heart (Thoughts): Fluttershy can be a little shy, but she's actually kind of cute. Hope to see you again someday.
Brave Heart had been flying around Ponyville a lot more during the afternoon, just exploring every part of it and how unique it was to him, but then he suddenly realized something.
Brave Heart (Thoughts): I have nowhere to stay. *sad sigh* I wonder if there is somewhere I can stay for a few nights before I get a house here in Ponyville.
Brave Heart walked through Ponyville and saw some mares nearby, so he decided to go to them to ask where he could stay. The first mare was a unicorn and she had a light navy blue coat, a pale gray mane and tail, light cyan gray and white striped tail, she had bright yellow orange eyes, and her Cutie Mark was a harp. The second mare was an Earth pony with a light apple yellow coat, a moderate cobalt blue mane and tail with light fuchsia stripes, she had moderate arctic blue eyes, and her Cutie Mark was three sweets that were light blue and yellow.
Brave Heart: Excuse me.
Brave Heart caught the attention of both mares and when they saw him they both gasped and looked at each other excitedly.
Lyra Heartstrings: Bon Bon, it's that alicorn stud everyone talks about!
Sweetie Drops (Bon Bon): I know! I know! I never thought I would find one in my life.
They were both jumping up and down with joy and Brave Heart just let out a nervous laugh in her excitement.
Brave Heart: Yes. This is me.
Lyra Heartstrings: Are you related to Princess Celestia in any way?! Please! Tell us! Tell us! Tell us!
Brave Heart: Hmm. . . No, I'm not.
Both then look at Brave Heart with shocked looks.
Sweetie Drops (Bon Bon): Really? So, where are you from?
Brave Heart was a little nervous because he didn't come from anywhere, he's always been traveling since he was 7, so he didn't exactly have a hometown. He broke into a sweat before he came up with the idea of telling a little white lie.

Sweetie Drops (Bon Bon): You can ask the Mayor of Ponyville, Mayor Mare, if she wants to build a house somewhere around here.
Brave Heart: Mayor Mare? Where is she?
Lyra Heartstrings: She should be in her office by now near City Hall.
Brave Heart: Thank you. I don't know your names, but allow me to introduce myself, my name is Brave Heart.
Lyra and Sweetie Drops looked at Brave Heart in confusion as if everyone had never heard a name like that before.
Lyra Heartstrings: Brave Heart? I've never heard a name like that before.
Sweetie Drops (Bon Bon): Neither do I, but my name is Bon Bon anyway.
Lyra Heartstrings: And my name is Lyra Heartstrings, nice to meet you Brave Heart.

Brave Heart waves at the two mares before taking off. Lyra and Sweetie Drops looked at each other with huge smiles on their faces about how they both just met an alicorn stallion.
Brave Heart eventually arrives at the Mayor's office and asks to meet with her, in which she agreed to meet with Brave Heart in a few minutes. After a few minutes of waiting, Brave Heart met with the mayor of Ponyville, Mayor Mare. Mayor Mare was an Earth pony mare with a pale amber to light grayish coat, a light cornflower blue-grey mane and tail with a lighter stripe, moderate blue eyes, she also wears glasses and a white collar with a light-blue ribbon. oil underneath. Mayor Mare: Hello, I'm Mayor Mare, mayor of Ponyville. You must be the male alicorn I've been hearing about all over town.

When Brave Heart had that thought in his mind, he noticed that his tail felt a little heavy and he used his magic to see what it was. He then found and pulled out a small brown bag and saw a note in it that read "Use this to get you to your new home my young apprentice. Love Great Wizard!" Brave Heart was shocked when he saw a bunch of Bits in the bag, but at the same time he was happy to know his Professor of Magic Great Wizard was still looking after him even after he was already gone.
Brave Heart: Will they do?
Brave Heart placed the bag on the ground with his magic and Mayor Mare looked inside it to see if he had more than enough inside it and she nodded.
Mayor Mare: Yes, it will definitely do. We're going to build your house near where the Golden Oak Library is located. The Golden Oak Library looks like a giant tree full of many windows, so you'll know where to expect it to be built.
Brave Heart: Thank you. How long will it take?
Mayor Mare: Probably 3 days.

Brave Heart has made reservations at the Ponyville Inn for their temporary stay. And now it was night, he is getting ready for bed.
He climbed into bed and lay down on his back with a happy expression on his face.
Brave Heart: This was just my first day here in Ponyville, and I'm already making great friends here. I hope to have a better life here.
Brave Heart then made a sad expression on his face and sighed.
Brave Heart: Master Great Wizard... it's been almost a month since you've been gone. I thank the Lord for taking care of me for so long, for believing in me and for teaching me so much of what I know. Sunny... I've finally found a place that maybe I can call home. I wish I could see you to thank you for showing me that I can choose who I want to be and that it's not a prophecy that will decide that.
Brave Heart then remembers the promises he made to his friend Sunny, that he would never let anyone decide what he can or cannot be and that they would meet again one day, Brave Heart then assumed a determined expression.
Brave Heart: I made a promise. I'll be the most powerful pony ever and I'll be a Great Legend of Equestria and then the ponies will stop looking down on me and start looking up to me.
Brave Heart saw a bookshelf nearby and he used his magic to bring one to him and luckily it was a history book.
Brave Heart: The Cutie Marks that appear on the ponies' flanks. They show the special talent each pony has.
Brave Heart looked at his Cutie Mark with a confused look.
Brave Heart: So what does my Cutie Mark mean? What is my special talent? Eh, I'll think about it more tomorrow. *yawns* It's really late now, I need to sleep.
With that said, Brave Heart gets under the covers and goes to sleep.
