Chapter 21: The Bloody Proposal Ceremony (1)

We arrived within the premise of Osaka Castle. Father and Ryuji are riding a separate car after the whole fiasco upon the plane ride. Leaving me and izanami with our own transport.

I was sitting on the left side of the car, as Osaka Castle is visible on the right hand side.

Izanami is sitting beside me. I could marvel at how sweet the girl looked, but now's not the time.

As we came near the castle, suddenly the castle vibrated, as rubbles fell down. As if a butterfly emerged from a lava, the 'new' castle is revealed. It looks and feels more imposing. As the new castle is covered in decorative Gold. and it also adorned more OA themed paint as well as symbols. Overall this new castle looks and feels better. I wonder how the local government would react. But comparing the castle and Izanami, the castle fell flat on the comparison. A small smile washed over me as I was thinking of those nonchalant things.

We arrived in the castle. As we arrived, I looked again towards the golden castle, it was quite a sight to behold upon seeing it up close. Everyone here wears a Yukata. Including me and even Ryuji. So this is tradition huh. I don't mind though.

"Iwai, do you have what i asked for?"

"Yes, it's ready. Are you sure it'll work?"

"Sure? I'm betting my life on it."

I smiled.

"You crazy bastard, even though you're my boss, I'll still call you a crazy bastard."

Now I'm smiling from ear to ear.

"Is everybody here?"

Asked Father.

"Yes they're waiting for us on the top most floor."

I followed Father, brother, izanami and Iwai along to the top floor using an elevator reserved for the chairman. The number 7 was pressed.

As we reach the top most floor I can see it's an open design, where all four sides don't have walls, just pillars supporting the roof. As we come in, everyone's eyes fall on us. Good that's what I want.

"Thank you for gathering here on such a short notice. I have a few announcements to make."

"But first before that, I implore everyone to sit."

We sat down on the beautiful open rooftop, the sight is majestic, not long after the staff gave everyone a tray with drinks and food to enjoy while listening to Father's announcement.

"For 25, years we stood strong together. Without your contributions there will be no OA. so with that said I raise my glass for a toast, for our future, for our health, and lastly may OA forever be blessed with victories."

""Long live the fifth chairman! Long live OA""

A loud chant resounded.

"First Things first, you must be asking who they are?"

"This young man is ---"

"Let me take it from here father in law."

"The stage is yours"

*murmurs murmurs*

"Who's he?"

"He's new. Is it the old man's other illegitimate son?"

"I think I saw him somewhere before?"

"So as you can hear from that exchange, I have some connection to the OA. but none of you had seen my face at OA before."

Many people look at me as if sizing me up, but there's also a number of people who're wary, I took note of each of their actions.

"Let me formally introduce myself. My name is Akira Dojima, Patriarch of the Dojima Family, and I have a simple goal here. I am here to ask for Izanami's hand in marriage."

*murmurs murmurs*

"Isn't the current Dojima Tojo-Clan Chairman?"

"What are their relations"

"Isn't Izanami dead?"

"Impossible!"

The whole castle shakes from voices, from all floors, as tradition any important meeting is broadcasted towards the whole castle.

"IMPOSSIBLE! YOU MUST BE AN IMPOSTER! I - I , NO WE WON'T ALLOW YOU TO IMPERSONATE IZANAMI HAVE YOU NO SHAME?" (WN: sus right?)

"P-Proof! Yes you must Proof it."

Now that's what i'm waiting for. That sudden outburst. But unfortunately for you, You've activated my trap card! His name is Toranosuke Sengoku, he is a fat greedy mafia, also a top member in the OA.

"Izanami, I'm sorry but could y---"

"It's ok. I know what to do"

As I said that. Izanami begins to undress herself. Beginning by unfastening her yukata. All eyes are on her. After she finished unfastening the belt, she hugged me. I replied in kind. I gave her a little squeeze. And continued to finish what she's trying to do. I reached out to her yukata and gently pulled it down. That is until Half of her back is exposed. By then everyone gasped.

There it is a scar, it looks more like something made by a bullet. Along with burn marks all over her back.

"WHAT'S THE MEANING OF THIS?"

Ryuji was the one who asked first. Surprised that her sister who was in an incident that took her life, suddenly proves everyone it's anything but an accident. From what Father told me, Izanami died during a crash, there's no body, but there are charred remains of what they assumed to be her. So seeing this up close is not just shocking, but also cast a lot of doubt in the whole situation.

"Iwai!"

"Yes here it is!"

He gave me 2 pieces of paper.

"This is proof of foul play. Inaba Hospital 2nd January 2011, A young woman admitted into the hospital, is bleeding out heavily, with a lot of burn marks in her torso."

And this I showed them a photograph. "It's a bullet, specifically something found inside her. A .45 acp round."

"Tell me, Sengoku-san. Would someone die being shot with this?"

"Of Course, who wouldn't die when shot point blank in the heart"

"Oh? How did you know she was shot point blank and the target is her heart?"

The atmosphere changes. The flustered man also realizes that he's fallen into my trap. Everyone's eye is on him. He knocks away the small table-tray in front of him and points his finger at me.

"You! You're accusing me of murdering the Young Miss !? Are you Crazy? I Gave my Life to the OA, don't listen to this BASTARD!"

Now everyone's eye is on me again. Good! When he's panicking and everyone casts their eyes on me, I have Romulus grab a gun I've managed to ask Iwai to secure before and place it on the backside of his yukata.

"Tell me Bastard! Why would I kill the young MISS?"

"The question is not why, it's why not."

I said as I made my way towards him.

"She would've been visiting her mother's grave that day. The only one who personally know where it is, is the Chairman's Immediate Family, The 4 Kings of OA ---"

I paused for a moment. The four kings of OA, It's the title of the strongest family in OA, either by wealth, man power, land mass, or political power within the clan, each member held one of those titles, including this man.

"So tell me OA's King of wealth. How much did you gain from the JingWeon Mafia, when you pulled that trigger?"

I said as I brought my whole frame closer to his face and Talking slowly and menacingly(WN: Insert JoJo's Menacing Effect here.). Causing him to thumble back. With a thud he fell back and also 'something', fell down for everyone to see.

"Ah, this gun. The [Glock-17] Standard Issue gun for the Japanese Police Force. With a standard 15 round of 9mm. Good weapon of choice."

"But, yours isn't a [Glock-17] isn't it. It's a [Glock-21], with a custom chamber and 12 rounds of .45 ACP bullet. It matches quite beautifully with the one's found in Izanami's body."

As I released the cartridge I took 1 of the .45 ACP rounds and showed it to everyone.

"Iwai! Give me your gun's 9mm round"

He did just that, threw the round towards me, grabbed it, and showed everyone.

"This is a standard Issue Glock-17's 9mm round, and this is a Glock-21's .45 ACP round."

Silence, Deafening silence.

"YOU BASTARD!"

It was not me who lashed out, it was Ryuji, He immediately RAN towards us, grabbed the fat man, and punched him in the face.

*BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG*

I who was close to him could feel his power as he also caved in the ceramic floor we're standing on, and after he caved his head in. He tossed aside his body over the balcony, executing him, not long after we heard a loud thud. Confirming that something fell from the 7th floor, and into the ground floor.

While all of that is happening I Fixed Izanami's yukata.

"Old man! I need some fresh air, This Yukata is getting stuffy, I'll excuse myself."

Said Ryuji as he dismisses himself from the party. No one said anything to him as they're too shocked to see one of their most trusted Allies getting offed like that. The shock of the betrayal is less shocking than the way he dies.
