"What's the report?" Kakashi asked while looking through one after another paper. In front of him stood a kneeling anbu with tiger mask.

"Even with all of our effort and the clan shinobi helping us we were not able to find any clue of the person's identity or anything else." He said calmly but with a hint of disappointment.

Kakashi put down a document and picked another said nothing outward but a storm was brewing inside of him. There he was working as the temporary Hokage which could very likely make him the next Hokage. But the amount of problems the Third left him with was mind blowing. Any shinobi doing a single percent would be more than enough reason to put him in for highest treason. And the papers from the sky barely told the bigger incidents.

A part of his mind was thinking did the third never felt shame thinking about all the things he did for the village, and it harmed the village instead.

"Increase the search rage. And make sure that there are no spy sending information out." He knew it was a tall order given the fact that the anbu were already short staffed. From the corner of his eyes he noticed Jiraya trying to open the window.

"The window is permanently closed Jiraya sama. You will have to come through the front door." It was also so he would be able to put a little more attention on reading.

'The Uchiha's were corned simply because of their paranoia and greed for their eyes.' He stopped himself from sighing again. Almost half a day had passed and he didn't put a dent into all the notes left by the third Hokage. But he could also see that it was because of the time third had been in the seat of power.

He wondered if he was reading it all, but back of his mind telling him there should be more hidden things that he would have to find in the future.

When you are the leader of a great ninja village you need great allies. those who would stand with you for the village not some traitors snakes who are only there to get your power or weakening you. Like the three elders, he had to put the remaining two into house arrest. As for the most problematic one it seem he ran away knowing the future awaits for him if he get caught.

Danzo Shimura. the name of the person gives him bitter taste in his mouth. His father's death happen 21 years ago but even now he could vividly remember it, a curse of his perfect memory even without the sharingan. But his part in the nine tails attack and all the Uchiha death helping the enemies.... if he had any less control he would have snapped the pen in his hand. But all that lit a fire in him, cold fire waiting for it to be used to kill that bastard.

Shimura Danzo had Shisui Uchiha's eye, how, by killing him while the Hokage showed the green signal by not stopping him. He could see why it was seen a problematic factor but even after seeing Shisui's loyality the Hokage decided that the best... of course for the village. Even he would have fallen for thirds trick if not for already knowing most of his biggest crimes. The third tried to make himself look like a old man who couldn't stop his best friend, acted like a victim in the notes he read. All the while using word to make the Uchiha look like villain who wanted nothing more than to control the village or get more power.

He picked up the stack and with a puff of smoke stored in his personal storage seal of his jacket. After that the door opened and Jiraya walked in. Kakashi could see a dark circle under Jiraya's eyes and the smile looked a little strained.

"So, what brings you here after all this time." Kakashi was not in the mood for chitchat, he even stopped the council gathering and put marchal law in place to get things under control as fast as possible. And a part of his mind is angry at the fact Jiraya may have know a lot of the scandals and did nothing like nothing happend.

"I know you are not in the mood to talk. But you becoming the new Hokage is given, only the approval of the new daimayo making it form being official." He said with a small chuckle sitting in front of the desk.

Kakashi looked at Jiraya sitting leisurely on a chair and couldn't help but remember the shitshow. The daimayo died in the leaf village by an attack from sand same as the sand daimayo. The only ninja that got the permission to guard the daimayo was Asuma. There was a very high chance it would still be a blood bath between the three sons of the daimayo. Who told daimayo to be such a coward died from panic attack and letting both one and two out. No samurai protecting the daimayo died. The only reason he was not busy trying to hide the matter was that people had already too many things thrown on them.

"I want to bring Tsunade back. The situation is not good and someone like her could greatly help to calm down the situation." Hearing Jiraya's words Kakashi just handed him a document filled with all the Senju clan members death and reasons. There was another fact clearly shown and that was Tsunade was the last Senju alive.

Given the fact what happened to her clan and her sensei said nothing to her Kakashi could see Tsunade killing Jiraya in a fit of anger. If he heard about her temper that is. And there was also the fact that they can't have the village in a weakened state. So, Jiraya would have to stay in the village.

"I know...." Jiraya sighed. He felt like he had grown older than the dead third Hokage.

"If you already know why are here to ask. Besides the village is not safe and someone of your caliber staying will make if much safer." Kakashi did not feel the need to tell Jiraya that already some chunins and genins decided to defect. The information too much for their small world view and too destructive to the point leaving seen as the best decision.... Not that he could fault them that much he would have to worry about that himself after his two troublesome students wake up.

He had to Sasuke out of commission in a busy situation, all because who knew what kind of decision he would have made in the heat of the moment. The Uchiha massacre could be considered one of the most explosive information hidden between only few people.... And now everyone in the village knew about it.

"It's not just that I want Naruto to have a fresh breath of air away from the village. How long seals going to stop him?" Jiraya looked at Kakashi and with that he could tell Jiraya's worry for Naruto was a excuse for him to get away from the village. And as an acting Hokage it will quite poor showing if he couldn't protect the village alone.

Kakashi took a calm breath and started thinking. He could give Jiraya the chance to take both Naruto and Sasuke out to calm down a bit. It would also be enough time for him to make the village much secure and less filled with traitors and spys.

"You can go, but you will have to put your summon toad, so if need you can be reversed summoned instantly. Also you will have to take Sasuke with you." Jiraya's face changed colours, he wanted to rejected the offer right away. It's not like he was against the summons bit, it's just he was not interested in creating more headaches for himself by taking the Uchiha brat himself.

"And that's the only way I can let you go outside of the village. You can see I don't think you can bring back lady Tsunade and the only thing this mission will accomplish will be for you three to take fresh air out of the village." Even Jiraya had to agree at that. He himself didn't believe that Senju Tsunade would come back and Kakashi as the new acting Hokage had to think of the worst case scenario more than the best case scenario.

"One week time. Either I take Tsunade with me or we come back empty handed, we will be back in a week." Jiraya finally decided to accept Kakashi's proposal. He himself also found it to be the best case scenario.

Sasuke Uchiha blinked at the situation he found himself in. He was on a hospital bed with fuinjutsu seals stopping him from using his strength or chakra. In a glance he could also tell the caster already knew that he was awake.

"So you are finally away." He looked at the crazy student of the deceased Snake sanin Anko Mitorashi looking at him from the open door. She was not flashing him and the jacket didn't had gaps like before.

"Your Sensei is too busy with the amount of paper. It will take some time before he comes here." She walked in with a small smirk.

"So kid why don't we have a little talk now that we have some time." She sat on the chair next to his bed.

Hearing Anko's words Sasuke gestured with his eyes. He was bound to do anything else.

"Ehh, don't mind the small staff. It's not like you will be the there for too long. It's to make sure you don't go out of control." She just rolled her eyes. And Sasuke wanted to show her the middle finger.

Yes everything was going according to how he planned. But at the same time taking over Orochimaru's lab would take much longer than he anticipated. A small miscalculation... not that he minded it that much.

"So no sudden thought of killing the village elders?" She asked looking at him.

"The third bastard is dead. Where is that Danzo?" Sasuke finally spoke.

"Finally, at least you are talking. As for the traitor he ran away the moment he found out his great works have become known to most people." She spoke sarcastically. "Though I have to say you are not going to jump away and try to find him if I unlock the seals?"

"No, I know very well Anbus have far better trackers and they could do far better than me." He looked her in her eyes. "But that doesn't mean I am going to sit still. I will go and find him , and make sure he begs me to kill him."

"Aww, kid you would have a chance before if you said something like that. Well if you do that and listen to Kakashi there will be no problem." Anko said ignoring Sasuke's twitching eyebrows.

Land of fire border

A crow flew going through the sea of trees landing on a hand. Hand of an S class missing nin the Kin-slayer Itachi Uchiha.

He looked at the crows eyes getting the information he needed and cancelling the summon.

"Itachi it seems the information is correct. The hidden leaf village was attacked and the Third Hokage very likely died protecting the village." Kisame Hoshigake another S rank missing nin of the mist said looking at Itachi Uchiha.

"The village is under complete lockdown." Itachi replied.

"Are we still going to try and enter it? too many flies will make problem if we want to find the nine tails vessel." Kisame just touched his sword.

"Our orders have been given, if we can we will take the nine tails vessel with us or simply get the information on how strong the vessel has become." With that Itachi started to walk and Kisame follow him with a knowing smile in his face.
