1 What can I do?

How did it become like this? Said Saito who stared down at a lake looking at himself.

Was it when I was stabbed to death by some thief who saw that I saw his bare face when robbing the local convenience store or is it that the thief was ran over by a truck just a second later when he tried to escape as fast as possible?

Saito sighed as he looked at his reflection. A head that wasn't human. No, his body wasn't human and it doesn't look one bit like one.

He had a enourmas shell or should he say 'landscape'. A tail that he can't see but can feel it. Standing on four legs and having a turtle's face.

'No, maybe a dragon turtle's face?' Thought as he looked at his face again that was armoured and with some small spikes sticking out. Actually thinking about his size, these small spikes sticking his head may very well be the size of a house stacked on top of each other.

'I became a giant turtle.... And to even have those cliché systems from novels' Said Saito in his mind while lifting his head up to see a transparent panel.

____

Considering what it says, he's overpowered. Though he hasn't much skills it really doesn't matter because he is pretty sure with one stomp of his feet is enough to destroy half or at least a quarter of an empire.

If it was like those empires of the middle ages.

Saito then just started turning around that actually costed a lot of his time. He didn't know how much time passed by but he could guess it costed like 20 to 30 seconds.

Looking around him he saw mountains, rivers and trees. Nothing special at all if you exclude the unknown creatures Saito saw within the dense packed forest.

Especially the mossy golem Saito saw sticking out of the forest that was pushing the trees aside to create a path for itself.

When looking closer Saito saw it is actually running away from something along with many other small beasts under the trees.

'Why do they even runaway?' The most natural reason should be a far stronger monster appeared instilling fear in these creatures mind so they runaway before they anger or be the meal of the monster.

The second reason Saito could think of is a natural disaster like a hurricane or earthquake. But he himself doesn't feel anything so he guessed it was the monster that was much more powerful.

'Well, if they are gonna die anyways then I should test one of my moves' Saito wasn't really against killing. Actually he never understood why people said that killing is something gross or they are against it because they feel sympathy to it.

For example an annoying wasp was flying around the classroom, he wanted to slap it to death but one of the girls in his class screamed that he shouldn't do that, it is sad she said.

Of course he was confused because why won't you kill it? A lot of are scared of it and at the same time they feel sympathy to it? What logic is that?

At the end he didn't kill it because whether or not he kill it, it didn't matter to him.

Then if you said why it is sad their answer is 'just because'. Humans kills millions of beings everyday such as pigs and chicken to eat and yet their answer to that argument is that they aren't the ones doing it or they aren't nearby it or something like that but again confused him.

People wants meat to eat because it is delicious then you can say that you are indirectly killing the pigs and chickens because if nobody wants them, what is the point of killing pigs for meat?

Anyways, Saito was very quickly to figure out on how to use the skills as it was imprinted in his mind. It was like a muscle reflex. He just knew it.

He opened his mouth and absorbed the energy of the Earth not visible to mortal beings as a ball appeared in his mouth. It grew each second bigger and warmer. Orange, blue, green and blue was the color of the ball that looked like it will explode any second.

Saito aimed at the monsters that were running away as he shot his breath towards them, the breath was more like a laser beam that vaporized every being that came in contact with it. A long path of destruction was visible.

Smoke came up with it and no corpses or ashes were seen. The mountain further up ahead was split in two and Saito then thought that he indeed was strong.

...

A long time ago there were titans of hundreds of meters high roaming around the Earth. They were undefeatable. Be it angels or demons, they can easily crush them to death with a single slap of their hand.

Humans who was at the bottom of the foodchain that time did everything they could to be equals or even stronger than the titans and strived to get strong for the humiliation they constantly get from the other races because they were weak.

There was once a human who cultivated in solitude and once he was done he realised he could defeat a titan, alas a weak one but a titan is a titan. He was excited despite his old age as he advanced and lead humanity to it's glorious age where almost every human could cultivate and strive to get stronger.

Demons and angels who fought each other slowly became weak and got overpowered by humans who they deemed to be too weak. And yet when humanity reached it golden peak, it could never defeat the titans who still roamed the Earth.

The human who reached the strength of a titan was apparently unreachable no matter how much humans tried. Many foolish ones thought they were strong tried to kill a titan for glory and wealth to be only met with death.

Since then, nobody tried to kill or even search for titans as they slowly disappeared and got forgotten in history.

*Pant* *Pant* *Inhale* *Haaa*

'What was that!?' Ela hid behind a thick tree as she collapsed on the ground full with fear written on her face. The first thing she thought was an old story her mother told her a long time ago, titans the monsters who can whatever they want.

Be it destroying a whole empire or lazing around for thousand of years, they do whatever they want without much of a hassle because they just can. They are the apex self.

Is at least a lot of books and stories says about them. Ela looked at her shaking hands as she peeked behind the tree again to see the titan who literally split a mountain in two.

Titans are very rare because most of them are dormant and the last one seen is about 2000 years ago.

'Maybe, if I can befriend it, then I can get rid of those imperial bastards!' Ela then proceeded to walk towards the titan while clenching her fists to stablize her fear.

'Dying from a titan is better than dying from those disgusting pigs!' Ela then ran.
