29 Chapter 29 - Combination

Jason parked the jeep behind a hill and decided to approach the area while using stealth skills from a ninja that wears orange as the main color for his clothes. The orcs were too busy working to notice him, though. The cars also made a lot of noise while they were being pushed.

"There are plenty of trees in the area, but after gathering some tools, they realized that using the vehicles as walls and barricades is also an option…" Jason thought. Anyway, they are really dead set on creating their bases here. Where the hell did they come from?"

That was an interesting question, and Jason knew the answer. The real question was why they were so dead set on invading. Did they show up at random places to create their camps? It would have been wiser to get experience from killing humans; there were over seven billion of them, after all. Jason assumed that monsters could level up, too. So, it would have been better to show up and attack large cities.

"Unless… there are too many of them, and there aren't enough places to attack," Jason thought.

That was a scary thought, even for someone like Jason, who just found out that he was an adrenaline freak who enjoyed hunting beasts. Imagine how many monsters are showing up out there, even over seven billion. A single one of them could easily take down fifty humans by themselves in a fistfight, after all. Level fifteen trolls could even endure bullets in their chests, after all.

In any case, Jason wondered if he should keep watching or just attack the orcs at once. If he wanted to experiment with his job skills, a couple of them would be enough; leveling up and reaching fifty was also his next goal. Still, doing things in a half-assed way wasn't his style.

"The Viletooth are no longer around… they realized that they can't fight the orcs and gave up on this area," Jason thought. "I don't have to worry about them attacking my back, so I should use this opportunity."

Jason approached the city with his hammer in his hands. The orcs there knew that someone had killed a bunch of their allies the day before, but they didn't know that someone was Jason.

When the beasts noticed his approach, they just stopped working and then charged at him. Their numbers were twenty, but Jason could see the same number approaching from the West.

"You poor, poor, summer retards…" Jason smirked.

The first few monsters that got close enough to him swung their clubs, but then Jason used Iron Storm and began to spin around violently. The skill not only repelled the weapons but also cracked them and stopped the enemy's charge. The beasts recovered, but then their chests began to get hit by the hammer… Jason wasn't planning to stop there.

Each second that the skill stayed active, he received a notification, and soon, he received three times more when the beasts began to die. Still, one of them got close enough to punch him in the face, even though the hammer hit his chest.

Jason's eyes spun for a moment, but then he recovered and jumped away when he saw a club approaching his head in the corner of his vision. The weapon hit the ground and cracked the asphalt.

"You shouldn't have done that… but I can do this all day," Jason said, using Iron Storm again.

Jason wanted to master the hammer as fast as possible since he didn't like that kind of weapon that much. Still, he also had something else in mind by letting the enemies hit him occasionally.

The first punch took down one hundred points of his HP, and the others did the same, but he recovered enough HP between them not to be a problem… Jason felt one of his teeth getting loose, though.

"I want to keep all my teeth until the day of my death, so you will have to excuse me, gentlemen," Jason said, then used Charge, followed by Fireball.

The weapon hit the face of one of the monsters, and the Fireball finished the job. The other monsters turned around to face him. Still, he escaped them by using the same combination over and over again. When the second group arrived to help, the first had been wiped out already.

"You guys can punch me now and then, but just leave me face alone, and hits below the waist are literally dick moves," Jason warned them.

Two of the monsters ignored Jason and then threw their clubs at him. The weapons spun dozens of times per second, but Jason still repelled them with his hammer. His arms vibrated for a while alongside the weapon, though.

While Jason wasn't running out of mana, he had another idea. When the first few monsters approached him, he used Charge, and instead of attacking them with the usual body slam, he activated Iron Storm. The weapon suddenly hit the chins of several enemies and paralyzed them. Soon afterward, he used Charge to the side and used Vicious Claw. Before the target could notice what had happened, Jason cracked the beast's skull by hitting the chin with massive power.

"The Kinetic force from Charge was transferred to Vicious Claw… I can use this in many ways," Jason thought while smirking.
