11 Chapter 3 - Breaking the Limit (1) [Edited]

'Tenjou Yuuya-san, huh?'

Kaori Honjou thought absentmindedly as she stared at her savior's retreating back, unable to look away for an unknown reason.

She had met many young men born in elite families of high-class society, but she had never met young men who gave her a lasting impression in a good way like her savior.

Not only did Yuuya have an attractive appearance but he also had a reliable and trustworthy aura that made her feel comfortable and secure. And a sense of security is something she needs after what she's been through.

When she left her home today, she'd never expected to be harassed by delinquents. It was a terrifying experience if she was to be honest.

As she was a daughter of an influential and wealthy family, which was among the wealthiest in the world, she should have one or two bodyguards around to keep her safe, but she preferred not to bring her bodyguard because she wanted to live like an ordinary person. Unfortunately, her decision not to bring bodyguards left her experiencing such a terrifying and exciting incident.

In truth, she was terrified when the delinquents persistently bothered her. She even tried to appeal to the bystanders around her, but they did not help her in her time of need, and if there was no Yuuya to help her, she could not imagine what would happen to her.

Once her savior's back disappeared after taking a turn, Kaori came back to her senses. She didn't know why she felt a sense of loss when her savior disappeared from her sight.

She pushed that matter aside when she heard the faint sound of an approaching police car's sirens. She remembered about the delinquents that had harassed her and saw them still unconscious on the ground.

She was not sure if they would wake up soon, but she hoped that they would stay unconscious until the police came and apprehended them. She also prepared herself to give her testimony of what happened.

The police car came, and after parking nearby, two female officers and one male officer came out of the car. They immediately approached the fainted delinquents while one female officer approached Kaori.

"Excuse me, miss. We have received a report. Could you tell me what happened here?"

"Of course! What happened was…"

The policewoman asked Kaori, and she replied and gave an explanation of what happened. Kaori didn't report the name of her savior when the policewoman asked who made the delinquent faint because she didn't want to drag Yuuya into this matter.

"Thank you for your assistance, miss. Would you  mind following us?" asked the policewoman after being satisfied with Kaori's report.

"Sure." Kaori agreed easily.

After that, the policewoman brought Kaori to join the rest of the officers who'd checked the condition of the unconscious delinquents. The officers talked about something, but Kaori couldn't hear them because their voices were too low.

Shortly after, the delinquents woke up. When they saw police officers around them, they were startled, but they did not try to run away.

The delinquents realized that their luck had run out. They didn't dare to run away from the armed police officers.

Moments later, a van with police color and label came. It was a reinforced van that could be used to transport convicts.

Once the police officers brought the delinquents into the reinforced van, they brought Kaori to the nearest station via their patrol car. After her business with the police was over, Kaori was released and then called home to send a car to pick her up.

Kaori waited for someone to pick her up in the waiting room of the police station. After waiting for a while, Kaori saw her father, Tsukasa Honjou, enter the waiting room.

Kaori was surprised. She didn't expect that it was her father who would come to pick her up.

She approached her father and called him out, "Otou-san!"

"Kaori!" Tsukasa called out to Kaori after turning in her direction.

They hugged each other after shortening their distance.

"Are you hurt?"

Once Tsukasa released her from his hug, he asked his daughter while looking concerned. He also examined Kaori's body for any sign of harm.

"Don't worry, Otou-san, I am fine! Someone helped me before something bad could happen!"

"Is that so?"

Tsukasa seemed relieved after hearing his daughter. Then, he put on a curious face and asked his daughter a question, "Could you tell me what happened?"

"Well, it was like this…" Kaori began to explain what happened to her father.

Once Kaori finished telling what happened, Tsukasa spoke, "This young man, we should thank him properly! You said his name is Tenjou Yuuya, yes? I will gather information about him, so we know how to reward him properly!"

After hearing her father's words, Kaori nodded her head in agreement. She wanted to show her gratitude properly to her savior who had left a lasting impression in her mind.

After that, Tsukasa brought Kaori home and began gathering information about his daughter's savior.

As Tsukasa used his influence and connection to check Yuuya's background, the boy continued his normal life, and by normal, he went back and forth between Argena and Earth.

Once I finished helping Kaori, I immediately went home. My primary objective to save Kaori from the members of the Red Ogre gang was completed.

However, on the way home, I remembered about my secondary objective and cursed my forgetfulness in my head.

My secondary objective is to buy meat at the convenience store.

Since I was transmigrated, I only ate vegetables. Even though the food I cooked was delicious, it was just vegetables, and I wanted meat on my menu!

Alas, because I wanted to look cool and mysterious in front of Kaori, and I didn't want to be bothered by the police, I forgot about my secondary objective and left as soon as possible. I couldn't help but feel embarrassed of my blunder.

'Well, I can hunt monsters that drop meat on Argena,' I thought, consoling myself.

After arriving home, I immediately headed for Argena. Once I crossed over to another world, I took out the Bloody Ogre Armor Set from the Item Box and immediately put it on.

I also took out the Absolute Spear and the Formless Bow, after which I slung the bow on my back and held the spear in my hand. Then, I flew off using Gravity Magic and eliminated my presence with Perfect Concealment.

After flying for a few moments, I saw a pitch black slime sliding towards the Zenovis' House.

A quick Appraisal showed that it was the Hell Slime, which was the second monster that the original protagonist killed in the novel.

Its status was as follows:

[STATUS_APPRAISAL]

Race: Hell Slime

Level: 200

MAG: 5,000

ATK: 1,000

DEF: 5,000

AGI: 100

INT: 100

LUC: 100

...

I threw the Absolute Spear in my hand at the Hell Slime. I targeted the core of the monster that I found because of Weakness Detection.

A hole appeared in the center of the slime's body, and the Absolute Spear stuck into the ground in the middle of the hole in its body, annihilating its core.

The Hell Slime's body quivered a little, after which it disappeared into particles of light like what happened to the Bloody Ogre after I finished it off. Once again, various objects appeared and scattered where the creature was.

"…Let's pick those up."

Summoning back the Absolute Spear to my hand, I said with a blank face.

I still found that monsters turning into particles of light after being killed was sort of bizarre, but I stopped thinking about my bizarre new life.

I used Space Magic to summon the items scattered on the ground and made them float in front of me, after which I appraised the dropped objects one by one.

...

[Hell Slime Core: The heart of the Hell Slime. It's filled with a huge amount of magical power, and can be used in the process of creating enchanted items.]

...

[Hell Slime Jelly: A coffee-flavored jelly. Consuming it can increase MAG and DEF.]

...

[Magic Stone: Rank C: A special item that can be obtained from magical beasts.]

...

[Black Moon Necklace: A rare item dropped by Hell Slimes. It can increase various stats if worn at night. It also collects sunlight and converts it into magic power, and constantly restores the wearer's magic power.

Contractor: Yuuya Tenjou.]

...

The Hell Slime Core was basically useless. After all, my armor siphoned my unlimited magic power to maintain its enchantments, so it did not need another source of magic power.

Granted, I can use that to make other magic items. However, I don't think it's necessary because I can make a better source of magic power than the Hell Slime Core with a combination of Creation Magic and Spirit Magic.

In the end, I decided to sell it later.
