12 The Training

A small explosion sent me hurtling in the opposite direction.

Causing me to skid along the grass rolling and painfully coming to a stop finally some 50 or 60 feet from where I once stood.

Grunting in pain I stood back up. Coughing and spitting out dirt and grass. I thought on why I decided to get my ass whooped by this beautiful lady.

"I'll bare your children and become your wife."

She said seductively. She continued. "This is something that's never in the history of the Gods happened before."

"So of course I'll be willing to put my chasity and life on the line for something like this."

"This could take me to even a higher level of being and I could be in charge of my own universe!"

"With you by side of course." "But if we fail we could be erased from existence by the other God's who don't really believe a mortal should have a such a power."

She explained. "So!" she exclaimed "Let's start with blocking thought reading." "Close your eyes, imagine the strongest wall ever built."

"Now imagine that wall surrounding you imagine yourself talking to that wall trying to reach somebody on the other side."

I close my eyes and do as she instructed. I a mighty wall built from cinder blocks erupting from the ground 40 ft above my head placing me in almost a box of great dimensions.

Gray and dusty I walk toward the wall, already having in my mind what I've been trying so hard not to think about.

'I can't wait! to get you out of that damn button up and see those beautiful supple brea...' my thoughts were cut off as I heard. "Nope!! nope I can still hear you!"

'Holy shit!!' I thought. "My bad" I said shamefully blushing hard and turning my eyes from her direct gaze. Conflicted, finding it hard to look at Delia and very hard not to say the same time.

I broke the awkward silence by announcing "Let me try again." "I know I can do it this time." I said trying more to convince myself than Delia at this point.

I close my eyes and try again. I imagine myself in front of this wall again. This i am a lot more decent.

Coming up with the most commonly used was too test any sort of audio. "Testing... Testing.. Mic Check 1,2,12. Just trying figure out what I'm gonna do. If I get this... "YOU DID IT!!" snapping my eyes open, Delia excitedly waving her arms in the air trying to get my attention. I smile, pleased by the way I was able to overcome this first skill.

"You might be a genius!" Delta said "We'll be done in no time if you keep going at this pace let's continue."

"Next I'll be telling you about Sam's functions."

"As you might have figured out by now. That you can change any stat you have. By a certain value to make yourself stronger, faster or smarter." "Yes" I replied, "I've done it to get myself out of sticky situations." "It's saved my life quite allot here in the past."

"Exactly, But did you know it can not only change stat value, but it can be used to and attach to any object be it alive or dead and change the value of it's stat or number of object it's self?"

"What!" I said somewhat too excited. "So I can make myself have Unlimited money?!" 'In a word yes, but you must already have at least of that object in sight or on your person in order to interact with it."

"There is also a required minimum level power use of its more advance functions."

"I know what you're thinking." She said as I opened my mouth to speak.

"Why can't I just use the engine to change my level value?"

"SAM, is a very complicated machine it bonds directly to your soul and extrapolates it as data and thus translates as a numerical value."

"With this it'll act as a spec and evolve as you do, unlocking more freedom of use with it's functions and capabilities."

"So basically" I say inquisitively "It'll gain experience as I do?" 'Great!' I thought 'this is gonna get me right where I wanna be!' 'Right between those.'. "You're not blocking your thoughts Phillip!" Delia yells over my lewd ramblings.

"My bad" we say in unison, like I'm that predictable, I laugh nervously as she continues.

"The way you've been using it so far hasn't done to much damage to your soul she should be repaired by now as the soul continues to slowly heal itself." I snicker as I think to myself 'Damn, so that's why they refer to it as "Your immortal soul."'

"But if you had kept using it the way you were you would have destroyed your soul and would never be able to reincarnate again."

"There are symptoms of soul destruction."

"They include, Sudden despair, intense rage, a complete loss of self, and lastly you become a demon with no sense of morality." "Without a soul you opens your body to possession to a older more ancient evils."

"Deities that even the older God's fear and do not fully understand."

Stifling a yawn, I remember how cliché this world was and blank out the remainder of her 2 hour long lecture.

I start to doze as I release the last few words escape her mouth. "Let's jump into combat training, defend yourself!"

Her hands glow a firey crimson as an actual fireball forms in front of her, blazing heat waves blast forth from the object.

I shield my face and eyes as the fireball hurdles towards me with explosive speed.
