Chapter 4: " Wedding Proposal"

Roshni was moving towards study room when her father call her name.

Papa: Good Morning Roshni.

*Roshni notices father*

Roshni: Good Morning Papa.

Papa: come sit with your papa. Its been so long we chat.

*Roshni smiles and sit with her papa*.

Mr. Surve: So hows your studies? Do you need anything?

Roshni: Its good Papa. I have exams next month so I am preparing for them.

Papa: Good My Love... *kiss her forehead* Your mother was saying you were at pinky house for studies. I am so happy that now you are hanging out with friends and focusing on life. Its great to see you back in life sweetie.

Roshni: Yes Papa *bow head*

Mr.Surve: You know your papa is always with you. If you need help, need to share something. remember Your papa is always with his little chirpy daughter.

Roshni: * with heavy voice* I know Papa you are best father in the world.

Mr. Surve: Dear ..Always keep smiling. You know, mother is worried for you. You have to take care of yourself and the relationship which are alive and love you unconditionally. I know you are my brave and strong daughter but dear life must goes on. It cant be remain same . We have ups and downs that doesnt mean we remain stick to our past memories and blame ourselves for all the miseries and bad accidents. You have to leave your past memories and accept the new smiles and happiness which you deserve.

*Roshni listen his father with bow head*

Roshni: But Papa I need time.. Ma need to understand my situation. I am trying to forget Karan but Its not in my hands.

Papa: We both love you sweets. We want your happiness. We miss your naughty and chirpy chit chats.. The echo of your laugh was my reason of our existence. We want you to give your life another chance. Accept and open your arms for the awaiting smiles and love which you deserve always.

*Roshni stare blankly*

Papa: Roshni Dear we got marriage proposal for you. The guy is from noble family. They have construction business around the world, but they like sweet and simple daughter-in-law for their family who spread love and smiles with her existence.

Roshni interuppt

Roshni: But Papa...

Mr.Surve: I am not saying you should approve today. Take your time. You can met with the guy and if you both like each other, than we will proceed further. For your father sake, give this proposal a chance. I promise no one will force you but you should trust your parents choice. We love you and only want your happiness.

*Roshni with heavy voice*

Roshni: But Papa Karan....

Mr.Surve: We selected Karan for you. We love him too but destiny had other plans. You should trust us, I am sure this guy will fill your life with love and smiles. You will be happy with this wedding.

Roshni: *after thinking* Ok Papa I will think about the proposal and will let you know soon about my decision. But I need time plZ

Mr.Surve: *Kiss her head* Sure my chirpy Take time.. But remember we love you and we will never choose worse for you. Nothing is more important than your happiness.

Roshni* teary face* Thank you Papa. I am sorry for always trouble you and Ma with my rude and isolate behaviour. I will never disappoint you.

Mr.Surve: *Wiping her tears* No Sweety dont say like thatn We are always with you. Whatever be your decision we will accept.

Roshni : Ok I am going at Pinky house for notes.

Mr.Surve : Ok beta .

Roshni moves to her room to take her handbag.

Ranu who was hearing father and daughter discussion wipe her tears and pray silently that Roshni accept this proposal and welcome the beautiful life with open arms.
