Chapter 1: Proposal Duke of the North
I attend banquet because my father ask me to, but I feel bored because this place filled with greedy people. I feel so suffocated, so I went to the garden for fresh air.
The North of Rumenia always snowing, so I feel refreshed & chilled in the garden. To be honest, I like snow.. because I used to play in the snow when I was little with my mom, Duchess of Seria.
*step**step* I heard footsteps from behind, when I look back it's Duke of the North, he's quite handsome, have platinum blonde like snow, and his body's so sturdy.
"Freya, what are you doing here?" he said.
"well, I'm bored. Because there's not different from battlefield. The slight different is you use sword, and women use their tongue. I'm tired & not interested so I head out to get some fresh air. So, what are you doing here Ethan?"
"I was looking for you, Freya",
"why? are you miss me?" to be honest, I know Ethan from childhood, you can say he's my childhood sweetheart. I fell in love with him since then, but he's so indefferent towards me, well not just me but everyone. Well, I know the reason he behave that way, because his parents died when he's 12 years old. Leaving him to fight with his relatives for dukedom.
"If I miss you, would you stay longer in North?"
"You know, Ethan. It's not like I don't want to stay longer. But my engagement has been decided." I smiled bitterly. Ethan just stare at me and said nothing.
"Ethan, I truly am tired of chasing you again and again. You never look at me. Maybe this is my destiny, to marry someone I don't love. But love can grow if I spend sometime with my Fiancé, right? So maybe, this is the last time we meet privately." I clenched my fingers, I'll never allowed my tears to fall, not in front of him! I looked down so he couldn't see the expression on my face.
"Freya, look at me.", I look at him and smirk "why? do you want to see me cry that bad? too bad, I already don't have enough tears to fall." Is it just my illusion? why would his gaze's so loving? I shocked.
"I love you, Freya.", "Is it new torture for me? Is it still not enough all these years? Please, just leave me alone. Let me make my own family without you. Maybe I can be much happier that way." his gaze's so cold, makes me shiver. "I won't allow you, you know that Freya. Don't be stubborn, hmm?" I tried to be stronger so I don't cry in front of him, but after hearing that, my mind scattered and I cried. "why? why would you do this to me? You know how much I love you, but you never love me back all these years, I chase you everywhere, I do everything for you! And now you want me cancel my engagement? are you crazy? why would I do that? who are you to me? Hah. I've enough of this crap! from this onwards I won't love you, no. My love for you has gon..." I dumbfounded, he suddenly kissed me. My mind went blank, before I react, he had stopped it and said "will you marry me?"
