Sad and lonely

ALEXA'S POV .

Seated next to this stranger , l nervously sipped the wine he gave me . Bella told me to enjoy myself , to forget about the kids and the asshole Mark for just this night , she also told me that there is no problem with flirting but l didn't know how to even do it . I only had one thing in my mind that once this man takes a look of the way l look like everyday , he wouldn't dare to even have me seated close to him

With his looks , it clearly showed up that he was no doubt a billionaire . The moment I noticed that he had his gaze on me , l felt goose bumps all over my body . For a person like me it was honestly wrong to feel that way but l just didn't know what had happened to me because when he turned and faced the bar , l instantly shamelessly began to have a good look at him

He was honestly handsome with his spiky hair dirty brown and cut in a perfect style just like billionaires . Ignoring the ocean blue eyes , he also had high cheekbones which were covered by a well trimmed stubble . I kept looking at him until when he out of the blue flashed me a smile . " Great he has caught me while checking him out " , Facepalming , l lowered my head in embarrassment . I didn't want to feel this way but l don't think that l have ever seen any good looking man like him

" You like what you see , go on , there is no offense in staring " , My mouth fall open when l heard him say that . He was seriously flirting with me . After processing his words , l shook my head . This was seriously wrong my goodness . " How can l say that l'm married with three kids ? " , I asked myself inwardly as memories of my kids and Mark flashed in my head . This is really wrong , l have the kids

" I shouldn't be talking to you , l'm sorry , l don't do this , l never do this , it is wrong " , After recalling everything , l murmured while shaking my head then before he could respond , I picked up my drink and jumped off the stool . However just as l was about to walk off , he all of the sudden grabbed my hand stopping me in mid sentence

" Please don't go , let's start again , l'm Adrian , it's nice to meet you" , He murmured and l looked down at my hand where his fingers curled up around it in disbelief. It had taken me time to hear a man tell me not to leave him . At that though , I had the thoughts of my kids in my head , l took a deep breath then finally turned and looked at him . " Alexa ,my name is Alexa , it's nice to meet you too " , l murmured in a low voice

" I'm married " , Before he could respond to me , the word tumbled out of my mouth without my consent . I was also shocked , l was sure he that could see the ring but still it came out of my mouth . When he heard me say that , he removed his grip from my hand then turned his eyes back on his wine

" Great my stupidness has led to this " , Facepalming , l slowly sat down on the seat and looked in the glass . I didn't know what to do now . he was a stranger to me but now being silent hurt me . " Okay l .... " , I tried to explain myself but l trailed off in mid sentence . " I can't say that l'm surprised , you really beautiful and whoever your husband is , he is a lucky man " , l turned instantly and looked at him in disbelief

He didn't really know what he was talking about . Just even recalling the way Mark embarrassed me made the tears to brim in my eyes . With now tears in my eyes , l kept mum and looked in the glass . I didn't want him to see how lonely and unhappy l was . I wanted to forget him for tonight but then I didn't know how to do it

" Need another drink ? " , After a good silence , he lastly asked and this time as l went to reply to him , our eyes locked up . With him looking at me , l knew it that he could see sadness , I knew it that he could see everything , he could see how unhappy l was . Before l knew it a stray tear all of the sudden flowed down my cheek . I don't want to be a cry baby but it was honestly much . I bottled up everything Mark did to me for a long time and now l felt like breaking up in pieces

" I can't be here , l can't stay in this club , it has made me to realize that am lonely " , With the lovers dancing and kissing themselves on the dancefloor , more tears began to flow down my face and without any word , l jumped off the stool . This time without wasting any time , l walked out without looking back at the stranger . I didn't even bother looking for Bella . I knew it that she will be okay , l saw her eyeing the bartender and they might be at the back having a steamy moment
