Hiding something
ALEXA'S POV .
Mark stayed at home for three days before he went back to work . When l asked him why he was seated at home , he told me that his new boss had promoted him . However though he was seated at home , it didn't change anything . We didn't have sex in those three days and spent his time on his phone .
With the kids at Bella's parents , l did try to seduce him . It wasn't like l was sex starved just like l was before , l just had a thought that if I'm to put everything behind me , forget the way he used to look at me , forget the one night stand l had with Adrian then it only meant that I should try .
As usual l wore my sexy night gown but unfortunately things didn't go just like l had planned them , he kept on embarrassing me . Throughout those nights , l only kept wondering how the hell he went from that guy he was in the past to this one . I did get it , he everytime tells me that he works his ass off to get enough money but per now we had enough money and everything the kids wanted .
At first he was possessive of me but ever since I gave birth to Jessica , we haven't got any family holiday . I have a feeling that he will realize it after the kids leaving him . Per now they were at Bella's mother who has kept them for another two nights . They really loved them so much that they even rang me and told me that they want to make the most of taking care of them . They also booked a week holiday in Spain with my kids for six days .
Alone at home with no stress , a thought popped up in my mind . If l really want to fix up this marriage maybe I need to put a little efort in my self . With that thought in my head , l quickly took a shower and standing up in front of the mirror , l grabbed myself up and pushed my breasts up in my padded bra. They were so nice looking at first but ever since I gave birth , they all worsened . I most times wore bob tubes but today l decided to put on a padded bra .
Done with it , I pulled on my black dress that showed all my curved hips . With the dress hugging me tightly , l was honestly going to do something l haven't done in a long time . At my young age , dressing up in tight dresses wasn't for me and the last time I wore it was when l was forced by Bella . After combing my hair , l also pulled my long leather black jacket on .
After wearing my small high heels , l stepped out of the house and drove to Mark's office . I drove a bit fastly because it only took me 20 minutes to reach there . As soon as l stepped out of the car , l wrapped the long leather jacket tightly around me to make sure that no one's sees the slit up on the right side of my dress . Leaving it uncovered was fine but per now l was afraid and my hands were sweating . I already had a feeling that Mark was going to ask me why I have brought myself at work while dressed up like a whore .
After wiping my sweaty hands on my leather jacket , l walked inside the company with my head held up high . I was trying to be confident but inwardly l knew what was coming . Shockingly Harriet wasn't at the reception . There was her assistant , ignoring her , l just made my way to Mark's office .
However just as l was about to knock , l all of the sudden heard my name being called . The moment I turned , my eyes fall on one of Mark's friends , Derick who was looking at me sheepishly . " Alexa ! My goodness it has been a year since l last saw you " , He said taken a back . At his words , l only pulled a small smile on my face . Yes he last saw me when last year but l didn't like him , right he was Mark's friend but there was something about him that makes me feel uncomfortable. . " You look beautiful , what are you doing here " , He added while shamelessly checking me .
" I'm here for Mark , he is been working for so long so l thought that l should come here" , l murmured with a plastic smile on my face but before l could turn and open up the door , he all of the sudden placed his hand on the back of my back and moved me away from the door .
" What are you. ..... " , . " He is not here , he has gone to pick up something for me as l have got a meeting , he's not going to be back for at least an hour " , Just as l began to speak , he stopped me short in mid sentence . " fine l will wait for him here , l don't mind after all l have got nothing to do at home " , l said while getting his hand from my back .
"No come over and l get you a cup of coffee , we will chat as we wait for him to come back " , He spoke and at that l squinted my eyes in small slits . " Don't you have a meeting , you have said that you do , that is why mark has gone to pick up some stuff that you need " , l uttered out and he instantly swallowed hard .
Watching him , l inwardly had a feeling that he was perhaps hiding something from me . " Don't worry about it , they emailed me about ten minutes ago , that they are running late , l didn't tell mark about that so don't tell him about that , it's our secret ", He murmured while smiling . " Sorry if he is going to delay , l think it's better for me to go back at home " , Sensing something wrong , l changed my mind .
