Family dinner

With the home chores done , the rest of the day went in a blur . I took the kids to the park just like they requested but l was far away from them as they played . I was only thinking about the job that l could do and be beneficially stable . I was tired of Mark humiliating me .

When l noticed that the time was past 6 , l drove the kids back . After preparing them quickly , the kids and l finally sat down for dinner . After Mark lying to them , no one cared about him . Ivan also didn't ask me anything about him . We all ate our dinner in silence but then just as we ate , all of the sudden the front door immediately flung open .

This all made us to turn our attention to it and surprisingly Mark made his way in to the dining room . It was seriously unbelievable , Mark had never come home at this time . " Daddy you home ? , Can you sit with me please " , The kids were excited with this change that even before he could sit down , Ivan stood up and held up his hand . " No daddy sit with me " , Chrissy whined too . Leaving them , l stood up and pulled his dinner out of the warmer . After placing it down , he lastly sat down .

With him seated , it honestly felt weird , we were all sat down at the table together as a family . Looking at the kids eating the food happily made me smile . With this l really needed to change and move on with my family . Forget everything and l work on fixing my family .

" How was work honey? , We're you busy ?" , I asked as a responsible wife . At my question , he first ran his hand through his dark black hair and as he did it , it was when I noticed the baggy eyes , the tired look on his face . Honestly at this time , he looked more older and worn out . " I work a lot you know it too , Henry told me to come back home and spend some time with my family " , He replied at last and at his response , l felt all my moods ruined up . Of course he couldn't come over if Henry hadn't told him . I had thought that he was changing but people only forced him to think about his family .

" Maybe you can also spare a weekend and have fun with the kids , it will help you to release the stress " , l said with a plastic smile on my face because l knew the answer already . He surprisingly didn't reply me . Without glaring at me , he only turned his attention to the food and dug in it .

With his attitude , I didn't push the subject . We ate in silence and after the kids finishing up the food , l stood up and gave them the ice cream then took the dirty dishes to the kitchen . While walking , l felt his gaze boring holes in to my back but I didn't turn to look at him. He was angry l could sense it but ignoring him , l only Carried on with loading the dishes in the dishwasher .

He remained seated while glaring at me but as soon as the kids ran upstairs with their ice creams , he cornered me with both hands placed on the sideboards . " What game are you playing ? " , He asked with anger blazing in his eyes . At his question , I looked at him with confusion all over my face .

" What are you talking about ? " , I asked . " why are you getting Henry involved in our marriage ? " , He questioned . " Henry ! " , My mouth fall open in disbelief .

" Yes Henry , your lucky that the kids are still awake , you wouldn't have liked what I would have done to you " , He furiously said in a low voice and matched away without waiting for my response . " Henry ! , I never got him involved " , l murmured more to myself and shaking my head , l made my way to the kids to make them ready for bed .

By the time , I was back downstairs , l found Mark laid out on the sofa asleep. " Jessica go and get me a spare cover from my wardrobe " , l spoke then shrugged my shoulders . I didn't mind about him sleeping here . Having him on the bed and also sleeping alone was all the same .

After bringing it , l covered it him and left him to sleep . " I don't want to go to bed yet mum , it's only right , how is it fair that I sleep at the same time with ivan and Chrissy when they are a lot younger than me " , Just as l turned on my heels to leave , Jessica blurted out the thing which made me stop in mid motion .

Sighing l turned and stared at her .. she was right , sending her to bed at this time was unfair . " I know princess , how about when l give you're tablet , since you in a holiday it's fine but l pick it soon , does that seem fair ? " , l asked and in response , she wrapped up her hands around me and snuggled in to me .

With her snuggled in me , I made the most of it . I could tell it , the order she gets the less she will give me this .
