My Husband's Therapist

Family is beautiful, its one of the first thing a new life is accustomed with. The love, the care, the sense of belonging and so much more. And as much as a family is a blessing, it can sometimes become an eternal curse... _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ My eyes shot open as they finally rested on the man I was supposed to marry, the last man I would ever consider if I had a choice, the last man I'd rather die than marry. My boss. Mr Liam Richards. "Uh Hell no." I said out loud as I tried to walk away from the alter. "If you leave now then I would consider this as the Hudson family going back on their word and all investments so far will be withdrawn and charges will be pressed towards the company and your family." Liam said. I watched as he had this oddly satisfying look on his face as if he'd just won some sort of mind game, I looked back to the crowd behind me and within them I saw Patricia scowling at me, Veronica already in tears but worst of all was the glimmer of hope in my father's eyes. I took a deep breath turning around, I told myself that this was all for my mother and nothing else, I would do for my father this one last favour with my life. My name is Cyra Hudson Richards and this is the story of how my life was taken from me.

The morning was calm and still, the morning breeze was nice even for the city and the pink glow in the sky as the sun came up was beautiful, Liam thought as he got down from the car.

"I can see you're doing well Mr Richards." Someone said from the sidewalk.

"Good morning Mr Smith, how may I help you?" Liam asked.

"Straight to the point, a businessman indeed." Smith laughed before handing over a bag to Liam.

"I'm in quite a haste today, so I must beg of you to help me give this to Cyra for me. Yours is in there too." Mr Smith finished.

Liam looked at the bag and was about to protest when Mr Smith spoke again, "You're already overworking the poor girl, you at least do this for her." Smith said shoving the bag into Liam's arms and walking away.

"Remember, you shouldn't bully ladies too much, it becomes unattractive," Smith said before disappearing into his taxi and driving off.
