My Husband's Therapist

Family is beautiful, its one of the first thing a new life is accustomed with. The love, the care, the sense of belonging and so much more. And as much as a family is a blessing, it can sometimes become an eternal curse... _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ My eyes shot open as they finally rested on the man I was supposed to marry, the last man I would ever consider if I had a choice, the last man I'd rather die than marry. My boss. Mr Liam Richards. "Uh Hell no." I said out loud as I tried to walk away from the alter. "If you leave now then I would consider this as the Hudson family going back on their word and all investments so far will be withdrawn and charges will be pressed towards the company and your family." Liam said. I watched as he had this oddly satisfying look on his face as if he'd just won some sort of mind game, I looked back to the crowd behind me and within them I saw Patricia scowling at me, Veronica already in tears but worst of all was the glimmer of hope in my father's eyes. I took a deep breath turning around, I told myself that this was all for my mother and nothing else, I would do for my father this one last favour with my life. My name is Cyra Hudson Richards and this is the story of how my life was taken from me.

A well Planned Secret

*

Cyra spent the rest of the afternoon making a special dinner for the Longmans as an apology that was already two weeks overdue. And she especially owed Nancy a big apology, she knew she was only trying to help but her selfish self only thought about herself.

So with the help of Aunt Crystal, one of the few cooks she grew up with, Cyra made something for the whole family. A cake would have sufficed but they were a family of bakers, she was sure they would be tired of all those sweets at some point.

It was getting late and if she was going to give an apology and come back in time to hear whatever her father was going to say then it was best she left on time. It was already 6:30 pm when Cyra was done and was about to leave when she met the rest of the Hudson family at the door.

"And where are you off to before dinner young lady?" her father asked.

"I need to see a friend of mine. Is there a problem?" Cyra answered.
