"BANG!"

A loud thud woke up a sleepy Jack and in front of him was the newspaper with his face on it. But next to his face was an unfamiliar one, someone who he had seen during the tests but forgot to observe the name of.

He then began to look at the person who had thrown down the paper, and it was his Chief. The madness on his face was evident, as he was one among the many that had tried to enter the place.

He wanted an explanation, but the happiness in his heart made him just walk past the Chief and enter the washroom to freshen himself up, and he came back as he dried his face on the sleeve of his shirt.

A bulky hand was blocking his way, and he looked to the owner the hand who was his Chief. He gave the man a smile and tried to push past him. The hand didn't budge, and he felt like he was trying to get past an iron wall.

He didn't know the contents of the news that was on the paper, but from the look on the Chief's face, he knew the problem. He had won while the Chief had lost. He was sure of the outcome as he began to go through the contents of the news, and a smile wore upon his face.

"Jack Brown and Sarah Robinson are the winners of this competition", read the paper. After having a close look at Mitchell's face, he resembled the old man he had knocked into yesterday. Once more, he had a smile as he thought of the perfect disguise Mitchell wore.

The more pressing matter was the Chief, who was hell bent on not allowing him to stay at 221B. He had won this place fair and square, and yet here was his Chief, using cheap tricks to make him give up.

"If both of the people do not turn up by four in the evening, the house shall be given back to the Holmes, and they will have authority on what to do with it", and that was when it struck Jack.

"You've been planning this all along, weren't you?", he asked as he eyes the Chief. All he had was a smirk on his face and firmly blocked his path. Jack was now irritated, as all he wanted was a place to stay and this burly man was in his way.

He looked around to find any other way out, but sadly his only option was to go past the Chief. "I'm sorry Chief", he said as he swung his fist right at his face. The Chief dodged it just by a hair's width, but had a smile on his face.

The Chief swung his fist right at Jack, and punched him in the guts. Spit flew all over as he felt the full blow landing, and he doubled down. The Chief took to a fighting stance, and Jack was on the ground.

"Is that all you've got? You need much more resolve than that if you're going to take away the place of a Holmes", he smirked. Jack got back up and driven by determination, he put his guard up.

Chief was an Out-boxer while Jack was an In-boxer. Out-boxing is the style of using very little stamina and smartly judging your opponents by keeping them at a distance.

In-boxing is a very stamina consuming style of boxing, in which you close the gap between yourself and your opponent, and use rapid punches to attack.

The both of the stood there looking at each other, and the Chief made the first move. It was a quick right jab, and he dodged it. But in came a left hook at high speed, and Jack felt his stance stumble as he jumped back.

"I have to be careful", he thought as he looked back at the Chief. The Chief came at him again, but this time with a right straight. Jack smiled as he ducked down, and closed the distance using a flash step.

Flash step is the act of moving in quick speed and in long strides to cover the distance quickly. The next attack was a body blow to the gut, and but he didn't stop there.

He stepped out quickly and he moved back in with his hand at the side of his hip, and he thrusted with his full force. The punch from before didn't faze the Chief, but he knew that in order for him to make his next attack count, he needed momentum.

And that was all the Chief needed. He used a straight once more, which was dodged by Jack again. Jack then used the momentum that he had gained and placed an uppercut, right at the side of the right lobe.

The balance was knocked out of the Chief, and he fell to the floor. He tried to get up but saw that he couldn't. Jack used that moment to run past him, and went out of the station.

He began to run down the street when he heard his cell ring. he picked it up but all he heard was a cold voice from the other end.

"Welcome to the Hunting ground, Mr. Brown. You should have listened to the Chief when he told you to stay put", said the voice and the line went off. His instincts went off, and he jumped to his left.

He felt something move past his left cheek in high speed, and a slight trickle of blood confirmed it for him. "They have bloody snipers? Just what have I gotten myself into?", he thought as he picked up his speed and slid across a police hood, and saw it get riddled with holes right after he got down.

All he knew was that this was a hunting ground, but why was he hunted he didn't understand. It all began right after he won the test to stay in 221B, and everything clicked for him.

"These people really think that killing me would make them get a hold of the place?", he thought as he ran into a building.
