Bakugo leaped from atop his teammates (Bakugo, Fumikage, Kirishima, and Hanta) and directly attacked Izuku. To his surprise, Izuku was already prepared, countering with a knee to Bakugo's face mid-air. Izuku then turned and targeted Shoto's team with a powerful blast. Fortunately, Shoto's team was saved by his ice barrier, and Fumikage's Shadow protected Bakugo by returning him to his team's back.

Izuku adjusted his cannon to the ground, using it to propel himself back atop his team (Izuku, Mina, Kendo, Ochaco). He then faced Shoto's team (Shoto, Momo, Tenya, Denki) and commented, "It seems you've gathered a great team." Turning to Bakugo, he added, "The same goes for you. This is a chance to test your leadership. Now, how about you attack?"

"Shut up, now let's go!"

Bakugo charged at Izuku again, but this time Izuku calmly observed the coordination of Bakugo's team. From above, Bakugo flew using explosions while Hanta attempted to restrain Kendo and Ochaco with his tapes, and Shadow circled around to aid Bakugo.

Izuku noted, "The coordination is fine, but it doesn't account for your weaknesses. Kendo, Mina, now!"

Before anyone could react, Mina released acid towards Shadow's eyes, and Kendo blocked all the tapes before striking Bakugo's teammates. With Shadow away and Hanta lacking a defensive side to his quirk, Kirishima was left to defend them all, but he was overwhelmed by Kendo's size and was punched away.

Meanwhile, Bakugo was shocked when Izuku effortlessly blocked his kick and redirected him towards the blinded Shadow. Bakugo used explosions to regain his balance, inadvertently weakening Shadow with the light. As he turned back to face Izuku, he found himself staring at a massive cannon, and then he heard a resounding phrase:

«O people...make your appeal

Nothing is impossible

Why?

Because I am here!

Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile!»

A rainbow-like beam shot forth from Izuku's cannon, hitting both Bakugo and the Shadow. Bakugo was sent flying while the Shadow vanished amidst the brightness.

(I must say, that looked quite painful) Napoleon, smiling inside Izuku's mind, remarked, (Ahaha, that is its weakest form, but I have no weak attacks!)

Looking down, Izuku praised Kendo and Mina, then turned to Ochaco, saying, "It's time for you to shine!"

"Of course!"

Ochaco activated her quirk, and they all floated away from the incoming ice-cold attack.

"I was wondering when you would attack. It seems you chose to wait and learn about our weaknesses. So, did you find any?"

...

"Oh, look at that! Team Bakugo was blown away by Izuku's mysterious cannon! And he used the same words as All Might usually does! It's an incredible performance from him! Oh, now Team Shoto is challenging them!" announced the Voice hero as the crowd erupted in cheers.

Endeavor observed from the sidelines and encouraged Shoto, "Go on, Shoto! Show them why you'll be the number 1 Hero."

Meanwhile, All Might watched the show from another side and said, "Hmm, I can't recall any hero using a cannon. My knowledge of history is weak, but it's incredible what Izuku can do with his quirk."

...

"Now, Denki! Tenya! Momo!" shouted Shoto.

Using a speed burst, Tenya got close to Team Izuku, while Momo created an insulation blanket to protect her teammates. Denki looked at Izuku and said, "Sorry, friend, you gave me this suit, but it's time to show you what it can do."

Releasing a powerful wave of electricity from his hands toward the ground, Denki hoped to shock all of Izuku's teammates.

"Hmm, that's pretty powerful, but we expected this," Momo said as she removed the blanket, revealing Izuku had vanished.

"Up here!" Izuku called out, floating with his team, directing the cannon toward Momo's team.

"Now, Tenya, let's run! He's going to shoot!" Shoto warned, trying to avoid Bakugo's fate.

"I can't!" Tenya exclaimed, realizing the entire floor around them had melted.

Shoto attempted to surround them with ice for protection, but Izuku was faster. He shot his cannon at Shoto's team, blowing them away and smiling, "See you in the next event. Both of you still have much to learn."

...

Since only Bakugo and Shoto dared to challenge Izuku for his headband, the rest of the event was mostly boring, except for one determined individual who wanted a shot at Izuku.

Neito Monoma had previously copied an invisibility quirk and had one of his allies throw him at Izuku, attempting to copy Izuku's quirk as well. Izuku sensed him coming but allowed it to see what would happen if Monoma touched him.

Jumping on top of Izuku, Monoma managed to touch him, then used the newly acquired quirk. Although he didn't know what it was, he knew it was powerful. However, as soon as he activated it, he couldn't feel anything before passing out and hitting the ground face-first. The last words he heard were an amalgamation of hundreds of people saying

"{Unworthy}."
