Moving On

"Indeed, there seems to be some sort of limitation after all," he thought to himself.

He fell back onto the bed, stretching out his limbs. Despite the possibility that this could all be a dream, the pain he felt, the vividness of his surroundings, and the sense of control over the elements convinced him otherwise.

After stretching for a bit, he decided to take a nap.

That night, he had many nightmares about what he had witnessed that day, as well as his own death.

Sunlight streamed through the room's large window, shining directly into the eyes of a seemingly sleeping boy. His eyes twitched before opening.

He surveyed the vast room and realized that what had happened was not a dream after all. "Looks like it was real," he muttered, laughing wryly. Nightmares had plagued his sleep, leaving him feeling restless.

When he stepped out onto the balcony, he was surprised to see the position of the sun. Upon re-entering the room, he checked the time on his phone and was shocked to see that it was already 10 in the morning. "Holy shit! Did I really sleep for 16 hours straight?" he exclaimed.

Yami immediately headed to the bathroom in his room, took a shower, got dressed, and then made his way down to the ground floor of the manor. The size of the place left him awestruck, but he was grateful for the memories of his past self that prevented him from getting lost.

Upon entering the dining hall, a maidservant greeted him respectfully, "Good morning, young master."

"Good morning. Please bring me something to eat, I'm very hungry," Yami replied. The maidservant immediately headed to the kitchen.

After 20 minutes, a contented sigh echoed through the hall. It was none other than Yami's, who had just had the best breakfast in his entire life. "Whoever said that being rich is a bad thing was clearly mistaken," he thought to himself, feeling satisfied. He would not say that certainly.

Seeing him finishing his breakfast, the maid stepped forward, and said, "The Lady left a message for you before heading to the agency," the maid informed Yami, approaching him with a disk-like circular device in hand. With a press of a button, a hologram of Yami's mother, Lady Sakura, materialized before him. "I see that you've finally awakened, you slept for quite a while. Poor you. The incident must have taken a toll on you," she sighed before continuing, "Anyway, I just wanted to say good morning to you. I wanted to say it before going to work but you were sleeping. Take care of yourself. " The hologram vanished as abruptly as it had appeared.

The maid returned to her position behind him, while Yami took the opportunity to contemplate and think about his future.

Apparently, he had two choices. Either he could inherit his parents' wealth and lead a carefree life as a civilian, or he could become a hero. However, he lacked the motivation to pursue heroism, as he didn't aspire for fame or fortune, nor did he possess many of the values associated with heroism, such as benevolence and justice.

Becoming a villain was not an option for him too, as he was not inherently bad and did not wish to harm others. However, he also didn't feel compelled to save people as a hero, lacking any sense of duty or purpose.

Eventually, after careful consideration, he decided to try being a hero, as he saw the potential in his Quirk for using it to have some fun and excitement, rather than living a mundane and unremarkable life as a civilian with a god-knows-how-to-work quirk

After deciding on his path in this new life, Yami turned around to find the maid standing behind him like a statue. He let out a sigh as he got up and headed to his room, followed by the maid who stood by the door.

Yami changed into casual clothes, a gray t-shirt with blue jeans, and left for the nearby forest. As he exited his room, the previously standing-still maid now followed him.

"Why are you following me?" he asked with a frustrated expression.

"It's my job," she replied sternly.

After staring at her for about 30 seconds, Yami relented. "Tch. Fine."

Together, Yami and the maid walked into the 'garden' and strolled through the forest until they reached a lake. Yami appeared shaken after seeing it, which the maid noticed but didn't comment on.

Yami thought to himself, 'It all started here,' referring to the place where he woke up as 'Yami Bakura'. However, the memory of his transmigration was always accompanied by memories of his death, the masked man, and the gory scene that made him feel dizzy just remembering it.

Ignoring the feeling of nausea, Yami knelt down and gazed at his reflection. He then stood up and decided to experiment with his Quirk again. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before gesturing upward with his finger. As he opened his eyes, a large amount of water flew out of the lake and floated in the air.

"That's weird. It feels like the consumption of mana (or simply whatever energy his usage of his Quirk is limited by) is way smaller than before," he thought as he continued to experiment with manipulating water and then earth, which was fairly easy for him.

With total concentration, he waved his fist upward, causing a large chunk of the ground to be separated from it and fly into the air. Lost in his joy, he lost his concentration, and the rock came crashing toward him. Luckily, the maid reacted quickly and saved him, holding him close to her large breasts.

Embarrassed, Yami blushed and coughed awkwardly. The maid put him down and patted his shoulders.

"Thank you," he said, to which she simply nodded in response.

After experimenting a little more with wind, Yami had enough and returned to the manor with his maid.
