141 Talk with Chiyo

Seeing that Chiyo was still waiting for answers, Shun made a platform for her using his customize create.

Taking a seat beside the girl to reassure her that everything was fine after seeing that the girl immediately latched into him and looked towards Chiyo with a scared look on her face.

"Don't worry, she isn't a bad person and will heal you," said Shun as he smiled at the girl and then turned towards Chiyo.

"When I was returning from shopping I found this girl running with a desperate look on her face as if she was running away from someone she was scared of. She then fell unconscious and I brought her here," said Shun.

Chiyo stared at him for a while before her gaze fell on the girl beside Shun.

"You must be scared huh, girly? Good thing my good-for-nothing grandson found you. So what's your name?" asked Chiyo with a smile.

The girl looked at her with suspicion which only turned worse as she called the person who saved her and gave her good food, a good-for-nothing. She looked towards Shun who just smiled and gave a nod to her.

"E-Eri, my name is Eri." said the girl with a scared look on her face.

Shun and Chiyo smiled at her as Shun looked toward Chiyo and said, "We can ask questions later, let's heal her and let her rest."

Nodding her head, Chiyo moved her face closer to the scared Eri and kissed her forehead.

A green glow enveloped Eri's body which made the girl widen her eyes in surprise. She then looked at Chiyo and then towards Shun who had a small smile on her face.

"So does it hurt anymore?" asked Shun as Eri moved her body a bit and with a surprised face she looked at Shun with a small smile and said, "No."

Shun nodded and lay her down back on the bed and tucked her in.

"Sleep and rest. You will be fine once you wake up," said Shun as he patted the girl's head who just gave a nod and closed her eyes.

"Well, seeing that everything is in control here, I should go and check up on other patients," said Chiyo.

"I say otherwise. You spent the whole day yesterday healing all the students for the sports festival. At least rest for a bit. Consider your age for once." said Shun.

"Who do you think you are talking to brat? I can work just fine and will rest once I need to," replied Chiyo with an annoyed tone.

"Listen here little lay, my grandma says rest is as important as working out and she is a great doctor," said Shun.

"Ha! Your grandma must be a stubborn idiot," said Chiyo.

"Nope, she is a sweet clumsy lady who is so short that she can't even look at the patients lying on the bed," replied Shun as immediately Chiyo hit Shun with her cane.

Seeing the two of them acting like that, Eri who was still awake laughed a bit making the two of them look at the white-haired girl.

Eri who noticed the two looking at her immediately covered her face with the sheet and look the other way.

Laughing a bit at the girl's action Chiyo decided to finally be on the way and get off the platform and walked towards the door.

"Oh, Shun a word please," said Chiyo as Shun walked towards Chiyo as both of them got out of the room.

"Soundproof it," said Chiyo as she glance at the door.

Shun got a bit confused but still did what Chiyo asked.

"So what's the deal with the girl?" asked Chiyo.

"What do you mean? I just helped a girl whom I saw passed ou-"

"Oh, don't give me that crap we both know that you are kind but that kind to bring a random kid to such a big hospital and even pay for the room yourself. What did you do?- asked Chiyo in a stern tone.

Shun looked at Chiyo for a while but seeing that she wasn't going to drop the matter anytime soon Shun sighed and relented, it wasn't that big of a deal. If he wanted to hide something from her she would not be able to find anything at all after all.

"Well, it was true that she was running with a desperate look on her face but she got unconscious because of the can that I hit with some force to vent out a bit of my frustration. She just appeared out of nowhere and the can hit her head. She just got knocked out after that. I immediately checked her vital signs to check if I should dispo- *cough**cough*I mean take her to the hospital and in a bit of panic I teleported here since this is the best hospital in town." said Shun.

"...Did you just say dispose of the body?" asked Chiyo.

Widening his eyes in horror Shun looked at Chiyo and said, "How can you say something so dreadful about a kid?" and immediately earned a smack from her cane.

"Geez, one can't really tell whether you are training to be a hero or a villain," said Chiyo as she facepalmed.

"I am just aiming to be a careful person, nothing more nothing less," said Shun as he looked at his grandma.

Chiyo looked at her grandson and then took a deep breath and asked, "What now? What are you going to do about the girl?"

Hearing her question Shun thought for a bit and said, "Well usually I would say that after her treatment, we send her back to her parents. But that doesn't seem possible in her case. I can easily guess all the reasons why a kid this small gets as scared as her with that kind of expression on her face."

Hearing that Chiyo frowned and looked at Shun. She knew what her grandson was talking about and she didn't want to imagine what might the story behind the girl be.

"I will ask Eri about what she is running from. She did ask me to save her and I promised to do so as well. After that, if my guess is correct, I will take action. If that case comes out to be true, I don't think sending her to an orphanage will be a good idea. The best case would be to get her somewhere safe for kids and I don't mean a government institution." said Shun as he immediately stopped some thoughts come inside Chiyo's head.

"Why are you so much against those institutions? They are made to protect people from such situations after all," asked Chiyo.

'If you only knew grandma.' thought Shun but remained silent. He had got data on most if not all government institutions and projects. The ins and outs of all the secret bases all around the country. All the secret projects to "protect the country" and all the dark dealings. He knew all about them. And although he didn't blame them for most stuff, there were still some projects that even made Shun think in disgust about them. He never thought that doing something like this would lead to these kinds of discoveries.

He only decided to get blackmail material if anytime in the future the government is against him or is plotting something like that. Well, he was glad that he was a paranoid person most of the time.

"Personal issues with labs, scientists, needles. No need to worry about that," said Shun replying to Chiyo's previous question.

The old lady just sighed at her grandson's answer and left. She knew arguing with her smart grandson was a losing battle and she had many more important things to do.

Seeing her off Shun got back into the room and found a sleeping Eri snoring peacefully.
