Chapter 2

The door creaked as a man in his mid-thirties entered the classroom. He held a notebook in his hands and the only mentionable thing about his looks was that he looked presentable. "Goodmorning kids, I'm your class teacher, Mr. Dohkin," the man introduced himself to the class. However, the kids completely ignored him and continued to talk or play amongst themselves with their quirks.

Seeing this, Dohkin couldn't help but get a little annoyed. However, after going through this countless times in previous years he calmed himself down.

He slammed the book he was carrying on the table, creating a loud thud that captured the kids' attention. "Good. As I was saying my name is Dohkin and I'll be your teacher, so treat me with respect," he sighed slightly as he knew his next comment would rile up the bundle of kids, "More importantly, there are class rules set that must be followed at all costs. Such as not using your quirk indoors."

The class immediately burst into shouts of rebellion.

"No! You can't do that!"

"That's illegal"

"You suck, teacher"

It took 5 minutes before the room calmed down, however, Dohkin was forced to allow some usage of quirk under his presence.

Pre-schoolers received no actual work, and instead spend time talking and cooperating.

Quickly, the class formed three groups and started playing with one another.

In the middle of the room was an extraordinarily large group. They circled a spiky, yellow-haired boy who flared his quirk.

"You're so cool, Bakugo. I wish I could do that."

"I hope I get a quirk as strong as yours."

"Please be my friend!"

Bakugo just grinned as a response and flared his quirk, as a resulted, lifted off into the air and did a superhero landing.

"Heh, My quirk is fricking awesome!"

Bakugo said as the little crowd around him looked at him with starry eyes.

Amongst his peers, Bakugo was one of the only ones to gain a quirk at the age of four. Most of the other kids were still ordinary and powerless. As a result, people just looked at him with envy.

On the opposite end of the spectrum sat Midoriya, who sat alone and stared at Bakugo and his group with envy.

*Sigh*

'I knew this would be boring.'

Bruno who sat in a corner of the class couldn't help but sigh. He was bored out of his mind. Just thinking of communicating with young minds mentally exhausted him.

However, amongst all this, a person caught his attention. She sat a few tables in front of him, had silky, long hair, and was unusually quiet and unfriendly. She seemed to exude an aura of wisdom above her age.

She caught Bruno's attention mainly because she was like him, bored.

Bruno got up and initiated a conversation with her, Hello, miss. My name is Bruno, I live in Shinjuku." he introduced himself.

The girl nodded and replied, "My name is Fiona and what do you want from me?" Her eyes were cold that could send daggers into people's hearts.

"I thought you looked bored, so I came to greet you. Would you like to be friends with me?"

Bruno said, smiling. His main reason for befriending her; she looked like someone interesting.

Fiona accepted his proposal for friendship and the two spent their time together.

--

The bell rang, and the student jumped out of their seats and rushed home.

Bruno and Fiona accompanied each other as they walked.

The two talked about various things, important and unimportant ones. They quickly became friends.

On their walk, they came across a gooey monster that jumped the duo. It was black, had a slimy body, and looked repulsive.

Bruno was about to stop it in its tracks but was surprised at what Fiona did.

"Slash!"

She said it as if it was a command. The wind howled and screeched as a huge gash appeared on the monster's body. The monster's body fell to the Earth with a slight thud and started melting as if it were ice cream.

'Wow. That was amazing!'

Bruno secretly thought in his mind. The monster died on the spot; no blood or organs was leaking out. It just died.

Bruno couldn't help but wonder why she didn't show off her quirk, but quickly swept the thought as he did the same.

Fiona turned to face Bruno, her face still cold, "I thought he would harm us, so I took the initiative to attack him. However, it seems like I have accidentally killed him."

Heroes without licenses aren't allowed to use their quirk on public properties, let alone kill villains. Bruno could already guess what she wanted out of him.

"Could you please keep this a secret, me using my quirk and killing villains?"

"Okay, no problemo," Bruno quickly replied.

They resumed their walk and didn't bother talking about the incident.

--

Bruno separated from Fiona and entered his home. He frowned as he looked at the state of his home; worn-out walls, poor furniture, and sank-in sofas. In short, he was broke.

In his old life, Bruno barely survived off pension money, and seeing his new life in the same state, he couldn't help but furrow.

'I gotta earn some money before long.'

There were many ways Bruno could become wealthy, though all included monopolizing his otherwordly knowledge.
