To A New World, Forming Bonds of Friendship

Shirou was having a small existential crisis with himself which he didn't realize. He realized that he has the goddam access to the root that mages spent all of their lives to reach.

Why didn't he realize it sooner?

The metal from the Age of Gods Should have sent waning bells in his head from the start!

Promethium.

An infinite generator of magic conductor in the palm of his hands!

No wonder Saiki and him went to the root itself!

He should have realized sooner.

This much power in his hands.

Cannot come free at all!

He might have fallen from the fire into the frying pan.

Such power must have a destiny for him to fulfil.

He needs to ask the most important question right now but first of all he needs to deal with the approaching people.

Terra: Yoho! Shirou why are you making a gloomy face all of a sudden. You should smile a little you know. Who knows you would have a bright day.

Doughy: Hmm why don't we make a sleep over to our house with Shirou.

Terra: Doughy! Sleepover is for girls not for boys.

Shirou just chuckles at his antiques.

Terra: Should we play hide and seek today or card game.

Sam: How about we just sit and talk about something. Maybe heroes or shows we watch. Playing all the time is exhausting. Especially the time when I slipped on the dough Amajiki dropped.

Terra: Come on! That's a one-time thing.

Sam: Who says it won't be like the last time!

Terra: Don't be a buzz kill.

Doughy: Speaking of Buzz kill look at the swings. Those two sure having a buzz kill.

Everybody including Shirou looked over to the far east of the playground. There they saw the lizard boy and spider girl who attacked Shiro sitting on the swings looking lonely.

Doughy: Ever since that mole Goro left they didn't have a good time getting along with others. Sagara and Mikhiko have their own troubles to deal with. Others don't like them because they were bullies.

There are other reasons but let's keep at that.

Shirou raised an Eyebrow at doughy.

The girl looks energetic compared to her previous demeanor. So, what changed?

Shirou: You seem energetic all of a sudden, more talkative. Did something good happen or did you get cake for such spirit?

Terra: She got special headbands from I-Island that prevents her already creamy hair not to fall off.

Doughy: Yes! Now I don't feel tired at all.

Doughy puts both of her hands on her waist and shows a confident attitude.

Shirou gets confused a little but can make assumptions.

Shirou: Does losing your hair decreases your stamina or maybe glucose in your body?

Doughy: Yes! How did you know!

Shirou: Just a guess. Anyway, why don't we visit those two.

Terra: Umm are you sure? They did attack you with your quirks after all.

Sam: I don't think that's wise. They may lash out for the suffering they are going through.

Shirou: Well I can't let this suffering continue. Why don't we ask to join in our games.

Terra: Are you sure?

Doughy: They look terrifying. Don't you think they will bite if you approach them?

[Zelrecht: Aah so that's the main reason]

{Shirou: No shit mutant quirk discrimination is a bitch. Wherever you go you'll find racism but in this world by their looks of animalistic appearance.]

Shirou: So? Even though they look different doesn't mean they act any different from us. People have feelings so do they. Alienating them just causes them to be hurt and get separated from society.

Sam: You're forgiving them just like that.

Shirou: I though nothing about.

Doughy: Do you really want to be friends with them.

Shirou: Take a leap of faith will you. It's doesn't hurt to try.

Shirou went out of his way to invite the two isolated children.

Maybe not from the genuine good in his heart but a curiosity of their lives with such changes to their looks and the views society gave them.

He may look like an asshole for this but hey give and take. His cynical nature is still there.

Shirou went and approached the two and made himself known Infront of their sights.

Shirou: Hey it's been a long time. How are you?

Both of them look at Shiro and they seem to be quiet shaken up at his sight.

Shirou: I won't bite, I just came here to ask if you want to join us.

Both of them look at each other in surprise.

Nessa: Did you come to mock us?

Tatsu: Why will you play with us? Did we not attack you?

Shirou: That's water under the bridge. I just came here to see how both of you were doing.

Nessa: DID YOU NOT RECEIVE OUR APOLOGY. WE WROTE IT DOWN LIKE A LETTER TO YOU. DO YOU WANT YOU US TO BOW AND SAY IT TO YOU!

Shirou was taken back with such venom in her voice.

Shirou just gave a blank look.

Shirou: I came here because I care. Even if others condemn you for such actions, they shouldn't isolate you like this.

Tatsu: Do you pity us.

Shirou: No, I don't.

Nessa: Then why do you care. Do you want us to be your lackeys so that you can show a scary attitude. Do you want to be the new boss of the school?

Shirou: Huh?

Nessa: Oh, you don't know other kids only listen to us because we are scary at how we look. That's why they tag along with us. Why do we think I an Tatsu stayed with Goro as group with Sagara and Mikihiko? Because others don't like mutant people like us. You broke our group when you decide to show off you power!

Now Shiro was completely cold in his look.

Misunderstanding can lead to a lot of things. He pretty sure he didn't want to come out like this at fist.

Fist Impressions matters so he did the most plausible action he could think off. He forgot he went overboard dealing with them. He did lot of mental damage compared to the ones done by society.

Damn Hypocrites.

He bowed to both of them.

This surprised the group of three who was hiding behind the tree looking at the situation and the two at the swings.

Shirou: I am sorry. I didn't mean to come in like this. I should have taken a different approach. I forgot I also hurt both of you with my swords that are meant to protect people. I did not want to be violent like this. My emotion got the better of me. So could you find in your heart to forgive me.

I promise I won't be a bad friend who keeps you around because you are scary, but a genuine friend who cares for you. So what do you say do you want to be friends with me and the three that is hiding behind the tree behind you.

Neesa and Tatsu looks backs and gets surprised three people are listening to their conversation.

The three were startled at this development.

They too were curious what the two would actually be like when Shiro asks for them to be friends with him.

Nessa tears up at his development.

Tatsu was elated at this. At least someone was not mean to him.

Both them has a hard time wherever they went. People would look at them weirdly or other children would get scared at their looks.

They didn't ask to be born like this.

To look different.

They hated their appearance and complained to their parents why they became ugly and why other people look at them like these.

They had to apologize some times to some people as some actions are interpreted as threatening because of their looks as their appearance scares children.

Their parents can only cry in silence in a different room.

They wondered if their parents hated them as well.

Shiro: I don't care how both of you look. You both are fine however you are. You both are people too who have feelings. I don't want you to be sad and alone. So why don't you come play with us.

Nessa finally bust to tears after those words.

It was someone other than Goro who was a mutant like them asked them to be their friends.

Nessa: Baka! Nessa got off the swing and ran away confusing Shirou.

Tatsu: Thanks that means a lot. Did you really mean that?

Shiro: I may some lies and truths but in times like this I am always serious.

Sam: Nice talk there. We better catch up to her before the teachers misunderstand.

Doughy and Terra was looking at Shirou with a calculating look.

Tatsu: We better run after her, she would think it's a fluke.

Doughy: Yup! It's nice to know we will have a bigger group.

Tatsu smiles at this having a normal conversation like this. It's nice after all these months of loneliness to be finally free of this torment.

Shirou: Right!

Shirou used reinforcement and mana burst to catch up to the girl.

Shirou grabbed her hand.

Shirou: Hey where are you.

Nessa gets startled and tries to pull her hand.

Shirou noticed something.

Under the coat the girl is wearing.

There are extra six hands which he forgot about.

Shirou got interested how this worked.

Extra limbs that function separately on their own free will.

Nessa: L-et got!

Shirou looked at her face and was even more taken back.

No wonder she had good aim.

She has six eyes under her bangs with tears streaming down her face.

Shirou was intrigued so he looked a little closer making Nessa embarrassed.

She was blushing.

Terra: HEY! What are you doing Shiro!

Doughy: You two are too close!

This got both of them out of trance as others approached.

Shirou looked back and saw people following after them running in a jog.

Sam: Da-mn I though your quirk was sword creation.

Tatsu: Yes, how are you so fast I couldn't see you! There was a small crater there.

Terra: Mou! you're holding her hand too tightly.

Nessa turns back and puts all of her six hands on her face.

Shirou thought nothing about it.

Shirou: Sorry I need to catch her before another misunderstanding happens.

Tatsu: Yeah, that's for the best.

Terra: Hmph! How are you so fast! I train to be the fastest hero you know! like ingenium! I won't be left to dust! I 'll catch up one day.

Doughy: There is park close to school and our homes, maybe if you live nearby, we can have fun together.

Nessa: Do you promise.

Terra: Huh?

Nessa: Do you promise that you will be friends with me even though I look this and people tell you to stay away.

Terra: Just like Shiro said I don't mind; my parents have no reservations for people who have mutant quirks.

Sam: I don't care as long as you don't pull me into something troublesome.

Doughy: I don't mind.

Nagisa: It's good to see all of you are getting along.

Everyone was spooked by the sudden intervention except Shiro.

He knew someone clumsy was approaching.

Terra: Mou Nagisa-Chan don't startle me like that. I know you are clumsy and can't join us time to time to play but please let us know you are coming.

Shirou looked at the girl he met a few times in his time in the new school.

She saw her playing with his new acquaintances but he left early with his mother because of his insistence.

Mainly because to have more time to train.

So, he couldn't have more interactions.

But he was curious.

Shirou: Long time no see.

Nagisa: Oh, you're that bad boy everyone talks about. Are you planning to blow up things soon!

Shirou just rolls his eyes as everyone chuckles.

Nessa wipes here eyes and turns around with full display of a 100-watt smile.

Nessa: So, what do you all want to play.

Doughy: Hide and seek but Shiro won't be the one finding us ever!

Tatsu: Why is that?

Terra: He is like a hawk you know. It's almost like he knows where we hide. I though he has a dogs nose but he points at us like he can see through.

Sam: Truly a frightening skill.

Shirou's mouth twitches at the comment.

Shirou: Lookie here to the one who blitzes through everywhere just to create a mess of the place.

Shirou: Not to mention both of you Dumble heads are clumsy to even start searching. Even I am in plain sight you still miss the mark!

Terra: …..

Doughy: ...

Sam: ....

Terra: What can I say, I just like to run.

Sam: Haa what a drag.

Doughy: Now that I have special headbands, I am energetic as ever. I will find all of you wherever you hide!

Nagisa: I'll just sit there and be the judge.

Nessa: That's not how it works.

Shiro: Anyway, let's play a card game, I am done with hide and seek. My patience runs thin every time we play that game. Sometimes you all forget about some people and start playing card games!

Shiro: I clearly remember how you left without notifying me that you all are going home. Teachers had to call for me you know!

Shiro doesn't want to play such games but for the sake of blending in he needs to have some conscience about his actions.

Everyone:....

The all started laughing at the statement

A vein throbbed in shiros head.

Shiro: Haa this is my life.

With this the day ended with a merry atmosphere.

Saiki: You had quiet the fun I could see.

Shiro: Yeah, yeah did you pack up.

Saiki: Come one why don't you share your day with me.

Shiro: You would just laugh at my dilemma. I clearly remember when you burst out laughing when someone made me a maid when the girls played house. Do you think I liked to do this shit.

Shiro took the magic clothes he took out for Saiki from the Gate of Babylon and threw it to the floor. He was thoughtful to protect his teacher from the world with overabundance of mana they were visiting. But his hospitality has it's limits.

Saiki has a kick off to shiros dilemma.

1000-year-old guy playing house.

Now that's a sight to see.

Saiki: I need to call my parents. Can you help me send a message.

Shiro: I got the sword of Zelrecht ready. Whenever you are ready.

Saiki: I am going to transmit a message. A small hole in my universe is enough. I need to learn how you travel to different universe.

Shirou: Piece of advice. Just don't.

Saiki: Why?

Shiro: If you don't want to be captured as a guinea pig, I advise you to mind your own business.

Saiki: You got a point.

Shirou projected the sword of zelrecht and let the Vampire take over.

[Zelrecht: Up we go]

A small crack in space appeared.

Saiki used the special transponder he made to connect and transfer the message.

Saiki: It connected we need to wait for some time to send the message.

Shirou: Did you message about being late.

Saiki: Yes.

Shirou: It was seven months and now getting a full year. Looks like you have your work cut out.

Saiki: Yeah and I am making you pay for it.

Shirou: It's okay for me as I can comeback the exact time I left. But for you some time will pass if you decide to stay here.

Saiki: Hmm It's done so where to captain.

Zelrecht closed the space after the message was sent.

Shirou: A fantasy world where earth was invaded by monsters. Don't worry about dying. I have noble phantasms. I would just shoot millions of swords at whatever beats we face.

Saiki: Right thanks for the vote of confidence.

Shirou: You know the drill

Saiki: Haa sure madam.

Shirou wants to give a choice of words to Saiki but calmed down. He doesn't want to wake up his parents.

Like that Saiki and Shiro went to the world of Magic and Monsters.

Not knowing what the future holds.
