Chapter 23 - More Training

Last Chapter for today, I wasn't planning to upload this but F*CK it.

I have an important question. Is it fine for me to add enemies from other anime?

Also, I want to add Maki Zenin removing Aoyama Yuga since it's revealed he is a traitor.

And yes, we will get Mommy Maki. If it's you guys, okay adding Jogo as a Villain.

Regardless, it's up to y'all.

As for smut, I'll do that after USJ. Near death experience makes their primal instinct to mate and conserve their lineage.

Anyway, enjoy.

==========

Izuku exited the area and found David talking with Melissa. His guts quickly told him something had happened to her and quickly went to check up on her.

"Melissa-san, good morning. Did something happen?" Izuku asked.

"Midoriya! I was about to call you. Melissa was bitten by the mutated spider that escaped!" David said in a panic.

"What!"

This alarmed the dragon slayer glancing at the blonde girl who was confused and anxious. Along the way, Melissa experiences the change in her body from being overwhelmed by the newly enhanced senses and superhuman strength.

"How do you feel Melissa-san? Are there any changes that have occurred to your body?"

Izuku went closer then placed his hands on her shoulder much to david's surprise and made his daughter blush. The Dragon Slayer was worried that she may have negative side effects from the experimental mutation of the spider.

"Uhmm….well there are notable changes…"

Melissa started to explain the thing she had found from her metamorphosis. Izuku asked questions about what happened after she was beaten, if there were any changes..

She felt calmer now that there was someone helping her get through the sudden change. Everyone would be overwhelmed whenever their quirk appeared.

Izuku took a lot of training to reach his power, having lived a couple of years as a Quirkless because he had to train his body and handle the magical energy in the surroundings.

Even still it shows how everyone is bound to feel uncomfortable when awakening their powers.

"Interesting, so you have the super-strength, enhanced senses, or whatever spider can." Izuku said seeing the data in regards to the spider that had escaped.

"Practically, she has a spider quirk?" David asked.

"More or less but it seems this includes the mutation of the spider and if my theory is corrected have Spider-sense, camouflage, stinger or fangs."

David was a bit shocked that his daughter who had been considered quirkless finally gained one. He felt conflicted of being happy and ashamed at the same time, the inventor was happy that his daughter could finally choose her path while ashamed that he neglected the chance of the spider escaping and could kill his daughter.

Meanwhile, Melissa is perplexed, finding that her power extends from just enhanced senses. David handed a scanner to Izuku and scanned her body and found something both interesting and terrifying.

"What's wrong, Midoriya? You paused for a moment." David asked.

"Well according to the scanner, Melissa-san has dormant quirk genes that have been awakened thanks to the inclusion of spider quirk." Izuku said.

"Wait what!? You're saying that Melissa isn't quirkless?" David said.

"Not entirely, the dormant quirk gene is essentially flavorless and wouldn't do anything but thanks to it her body wasn't harmed from the metamorphosis. Which meant that anyone else besides Melissa or people with the same dormant gene which is unlikely would experience side effects."

David paled, realizing that without this dormant quirk gene then she would likely die. The gene acted as sacrifice for the genetic change that occured from her body meaning that the spider quirk devoured the dormant quirk gene avoiding harming her body.

"Is she safe? Won't there be anything going to harm her body?" David asked.

"Nothing I've seen so far but the best way to remove potential side effects is to train her new quirk until she handles herself." David was relieved to hear it, he was a machine inventor and not like Izuku who made the research on quirks and quirk theories.

You might be wondering how a 14 year old can be this smart? Because bullshit that's why.

"Now then, Mr.shield let me ask if Melissa will join our training? Awakening a quirk is daunting because I know from experiences. Don't worry Melissa, I'm here to help you overcome this."

He gave a reassuring smile as Melissa saw the image of her uncle that made her feel safe. David see how her daughter interact with the young man opted a frown and calmed down knowing from what his friend told him was trustworthy boy

"It's up to her decision and whichever it is, I'm going to support her."

David turned to her daughter giving a supportive smile that whatever her choice may be would still be there cheering for her.

"Won't I bother with your training?" Melissa said.

"Nonsense! This also helps me gather more information about quirk! I already made an encyclopedia about all known quirk which is currently 100 types, 5,000 variants and 10,000 sub variants along with the deviant category."

Izuku showcases a catalog of few known quirks such as Endeavour, edgeshot, etc. They have their 3 categories of Emitter, Transformation and mutation that is then divided more to elements, enhance, fusion, etc.

David's eyes went wide in shock at how a young man nearly has all known quirks and would be fatal if villains were to gain the knowledge.

"Wait, young Midoriya, don't tell me you have shared this data to the public?" David said seeing the disastrous outcome if villains get their hands on the information.

"Of course not, it is only my personal recording and won't be shared anytime soon knowing those pesky villains would die for this information therefore place it in Keter Class security in my Database." Izuku had a library on his computer and had studied programming to secure it. A great thing to help his mind relax.

"Keter Class?" David exclaimed.

"Oh it's from an old series that I've watched recently and inspired by their category of placing information ranging from safe, Euclid and Keter." David never heard of those terms but vaguely guessed it about safe code with Keter the highest security.

"If the slightest sense of breach was detected then every data would be deleted."

A month had passed since Melissa awakened her power, and with the guidance of her father, her uncle, and Izuku, she had developed a solid grasp over her Quirk. The progress she had made was astounding, transforming from uncertainty into confidence as she learned to wield her abilities with precision and control.

Today, Melissa was training in a cityscape simulation, a sprawling urban environment designed to test her agility and combat skills. Using her fingers in a specific way, she shot webs from her wrists that clung to buildings, allowing her to swing effortlessly through the streets.

The sensation of flying through the air, the wind rushing past her face, was exhilarating, and each swing brought a new challenge, pushing her to perfect her technique.

As she navigated the simulated city, Melissa's senses were on high alert. She had been training rigorously to enhance her reflexes and situational awareness.

Suddenly, a high-pitched ringing reached her ears—a signal she had learned to recognize during her training. Instinctively, she ducked, narrowly avoiding a harmless bullet fired by a flying robot designed to simulate enemy attacks. The evasive maneuver was seamless, a testament to her growing proficiency.

Without wasting a moment, Melissa shot a web at the robot, the sticky strands clinging to its metallic body. With a swift pull, she brought the robot hurtling towards her.

Channeling her momentum, she delivered a powerful kick, crushing the robot into pieces that scattered across the simulated street. The entire sequence had taken mere seconds, but it demonstrated the culmination of weeks of intense practice and refinement.

Her father and uncle watched from a control room, their faces a mix of pride and determination. They had seen her grow stronger each day, mastering not just her physical abilities but also the strategic thinking required for a hero.

Izuku, standing beside them, nodded approvingly. He had shared his own experiences and techniques, helping Melissa to develop her unique style that blended her natural agility with the raw power of her Quirk.

As Melissa continued her training, swinging from building to building, avoiding obstacles, and neutralizing robotic foes, she felt a deep sense of purpose.

Each training session brought her closer to her goal of becoming a hero who could stand alongside the best, protecting those in need with unwavering courage and skill. Her confidence grew with each successful maneuver, each enemy she defeated.

The simulated cityscape was a perfect proving ground, providing a variety of challenges that tested her limits. She practiced swinging through narrow alleyways, launching webs at distant targets, and performing acrobatic flips to dodge attacks. Every move was executed with increasing precision, the result of countless hours of hard work and determination.

In these moments, as she flew through the air with the city beneath her, Melissa felt the thrill of her potential. She knew that with continued effort and the support of her mentors, she could achieve greatness.

The path ahead was still long and filled with challenges, but she was ready to face them head-on, confident in her abilities and her resolve to become a hero who could make a difference.

As the day drew to a close, Melissa landed gracefully on a rooftop, taking a moment to catch her breath and reflect on her progress. The cityscape simulation faded away, replaced by the familiar surroundings of the training facility. Her father, uncle, and Izuku approached, their expressions filled with pride and encouragement.

"Well done, Melissa," her uncle said, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

"You've come a long way in just a month." Izuku smiled, his eyes full of admiration.

"You're doing great. Keep pushing yourself, and you'll be ready for anything." Melissa nodded, her heart swelling with determination.

"She's improved quite a lot after a month of training."

Within the observing robot was her father proud seeing his daughter using a quirk quite efficiently. For the first couple of weeks, she was forced to wear dark tinted goggles to help her focus as the superhuman sense was disoriented and needed a way for her to keep focus.

"It all thanks to Young Midoriya giving her instructions to use her powers. Hey Dave, are you sure you would let her come with me to Japan?"

Beside him was the symbol of peace watching his niece fight robots and moving like pro heroes. This was all thanks to her spider senses that essentially move her body without over thinking.

Normally, anyone else who recently awakened a quirk takes years of development to fully grasp their ability but Melissa spider quirk had natural instincts of a spider that made it feel like she was born with the power.

"Yes, Toshi. We discussed this and I decided to let her experience the outside world. Perhaps be the hero that she always wanted to be."

AllMight remained silent only nodding before turning his head towards another panel seeing his other students working hard to improve themselves.

Few hours passed by, and Izuku came out of the training ground all tattered, showing the intensity of his training. He crack his neck looking around to see him the first to come out.

'I wonder why I'm only accessing 80% of One For All?' Izuku asked the predecessors.

'We have no idea. Best to focus on what you have for now.' Yoichi said.

'80% is already a lot! You're at least Allmight's 90% which isn't a small thing.' Diagoro said.

'Just be patient and I know you'll gain full access to One for all.' Nana said and Izuku still frowned a bit disappointed but understood.

"Why the long face, Izuku?"

He turned to see Melissa approaching him before smiling. She removes the thick goggles helping her focus as having enhanced senses make her disoriented.

"Nothing, just surprised it's been a month since I've arrived in this place. How about you? How are you holding up with your power?" Izuku asked.

"I'm well and thanks to you and Papa along with Uncle might have gotten better." Melissa said with bright smile.

"That's great news!"

Both headed to the lounging area to wait for the others and before long arrived one by one. They all headed to wash themselves taking deep in the bathhouse submerging themselves with the water.

Izuku relaxed alone in the bath while the other girls were doing the same relaxing in the calming water.

"So you've discovered something about your quirk?" Itsuka asked.

"Hell yeah! It took time for me to realize my true abilities." Katsumi said.

"Interesting….are you going to tell us what it is?" Mizuna asked.

"Hell no! It's my secret and I can't say until we fight." she said with a smirk.

"Alright, keep your creepy secret then." Himiko said.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY LEEECH!?" Katsumi shouted.

"Whatever it is, I'm sure it is still far from enough to defeat Izuku." Tohru said who had been helping train Izuku.

"SHUT UP YOUR OVERGROWN LIZARD!" Katsumi said.

"Hey that uncalled for you piece of ash!" Tohru said.

"I ain't scared of yah bitch!" Katsumi said even though she was one sidedly defeated by Tohru.

"By the way, you're going to join the hero course? Won't that be your support course?" Itsuka turned to Melissa.

"Agree, 3 years of Support course would be such a waste if you suddenly switch courses." Momo asked.

"Though, I can't say I wouldn't do the same if I was in your shoes." Jiro said.

Melissa was bombarded by her sincere friends that she didn't have before as most only wanted to befriend her due being David's daughter and most didn't want to interact due to being quirkless. She may not experience much discrimination compared to other quirkless people outside of the I-Island.

"Well, I thought being 1st year in the hero course meant I would be able to be with you girls would be a fair trade and Uncle might say becoming a hero is never too late."

They smiled as the three already considered her a close friend after spending a month together.

"Can I ask you something, Melissa-san?" Camie asked

"Hmm? Sure what is it?" Melissa said.

"Do you like Izuku?" This question confused Melissa.

"Yeah? He's a great friend like you girls. Izuku had been helping control my new quirk-" Camie immediately interrupted her.

"No, what I mean is not as a friend but a lover?"

Melissa paused, realizing what she meant took a moment to answer. She considers him a great friend but hadn't seen him that way.

"I-I don't know? I mean he is a great person and helped me a lot in using my question? B-But why are you asking me this?"

"Because we all like him and agreed that we would share him as well as support him, standing beside him."

They all nodded, surprising Melissa touching her chest confused about her feelings. It's still vague if it was admiration or love.

"Anyway, just ignore my question. I was just curious."

Melissa remained quiet as she was unsure how to feel about Izuku now that her feelings were questioned.
