Giving Advice

- Nurse's Office -

"The school has just begun and this is already his third time here! Why didn't you stop him, All Might?"

A short, elderly woman with gray hair styled into a netted bun, with a large syringe poking diagonally out of it, and donned in a doctor's lab coat could be seen reprimanding All Might who was currently in his skeleton form.

This elderly woman was Shuzenji Chiyo, also known as 'Recovery Girl'.

"I apologize, Recovery Girl." said All Might with an apologetic smile.

"What are you apologizing to me for? On top of his total exhaustion, he was just here yesterday. I can't treat him all at once anymore. I did first-aid treatment already, so after the IV is finished, there's no other option apart from revitalizing him gradually over the whole day."

"Jeez, this is the disciple you granted your power to and he's the next successor of One For All, and that's why you shouldn't indulge him too much." said Recovery Girl sternly.

"I have nothing to say in my defense. Because I wanted to consider his feelings, I hesitated to stop the training match.. And.. Uhm.. Will you please not talk about One For All so lou-"

*knock* *knock*

All Might jumped in fright from the sudden knocking sound coming from the door. It would be really bad if someone had overheard them talking about One For All and his successor.

Luckily, that wasn't the case. Naturally, it was me who arrived at the Nurse's Office. Standing in front of the Nurse's Office and hearing no invitations coming from the other side of the door, after having knocked at the door twice, I nonchalantly opened the door and walked straight in.

Arriving inside, I could see Recovery Girl's slightly flustered face and All Might's relieved expression.

"Oh, it's you, Jin-shounen. You really scared me here for a second." All Might sighed in relief when he saw me.

"What's wrong, All Might?" I asked curiously.

"Hm, nothing. We only thought that someone had overheard our conversation about One For All." All Might shook his head.

"I see." I simply nodded in response.

*Cough* *Cough*

"Care to explain, All Might?" Suddenly, Recovery Girl's voice was heard from the side. She was clearly confused by what was happening right now.

"Ah, I'm sorry, Recovery Girl. This is Jin Jayden. He is currently a student in Class 1-A and also the son of old friends of mine. As you can see, he is one of the few people who actually know about One For All." All Might quickly explained to Recovery Girl.

"Oh~, so you're the impressive boy who scored first in the entrance exam." Recovery Girl sized me up with her squinted eyes.

I only gave her a wry smile while scratching the back of my head in embarrassment.

"So, why are you here, Jin-shounen?" All Might asked curiously.

"I'm just here to see how Midoriya is doing. And also to see you, I guess. But let's do it later." I said plainly.

All Might was curious as to why I wanted to see him, but I gave him no chance to ask and walked straight towards Midoriya who was lying unconscious on the bed.

His injuries had been mostly healed up by Recovery Girl already, however, due to her Quirk [Heal] being only able to amplify and speed up the healing process in exchange for their energy/stamina, Midoriya was still not showing any signs of waking up.

Standing in front of him, I stretched out my hand and shot a small ball of energy at him which quickly submerged into his body.

Recovery Girl abruptly stood up from her seat after seeing what I had just done.

"What did you do just now?" She asked with curiosity.

Of course, I had simply transferred some of my energy to Midoriya, but I didn't immediately respond to her question and instead waited for the Ki Transfer to take effect.

Seeing that I wasn't replying, All Might stepped up in my stead and explained my ability to her, to which she clearly showed an amazed reaction.

After several minutes of waiting, there was finally some movement coming from Midoriya. Slowly but surely, he was waking up. His eyelids slightly trembled before he finally opened his eyes.

The first thing he saw was that he was, again, lying in the bed inside the Nurse's Office. He became dazed for a second, before becoming slightly frustrated that he had once again incapacitated himself, so he didn't immediately notice us standing next to him.

*Cough* *Cough*

I coughed slightly to gain his attention. And sure enough, after hearing someone coughing beside him, he instantly turned his head to the side.

"Jin-kun? Why are you here?" Midoriya was surprised to see me here.

"And All Mig-..huk!!" When Midoriya saw that All Might was also in the room, he subconsciously called out to him, but quickly stopped himself and frantically closed his mouth in panic.

He glanced at me, hoping that I hadn't heard him. Right now, All Might was in his skeleton form, so it could make things complicated.

I simply chuckled at his antics and decided to tease him, "Hm? What did you say? 'All Mig-'..what?"

"A-Ah.. Ehhto.. I-I s-s-said 'o-ohh All M-Migh..ty Lord, who i-is this person'?" Midoriya nervously tried to lie himself out of this dilemma.

When those words left his mouth, I was dumbfounded and speechless. I just wanted to tease him a little bit, but I didn't expect him to come up with this terrible lie. Hearing him spouting this kind of bullshit, I immediately bursted out into laughter. Even All Might and Recovery Girl had to hold their laughter back hearing this.

Midoriya was naturally embarrassed by his own words, but he was also a little bit surprised that we were laughing so hard. Were his words really sooo ridiculous?

After having laughed at him for a while, All Might thought it was enough teasing already, and said laughingly to him, "Don't worry, Midoriya-shounen.. Jin-shounen already knows about me and One For All. So you don't have to come up with such a terrible lie, HA HA HA HA!"

Hearing this, Midoriya's face instantly flushed bright red in embarrassment. He had made himself look like a complete fool in front of his classmate and his idol. He was truly embarrassed right now.

I had also laughed enough and had already calmed back down. Seeing the color of his face resembling that of a tomato, I quickly switched the topic and asked, "Okay, enough of that. Now tell me, Midoriya, how do you feel right now after your battle with Bakugo?"

Hearing my question, Midoriya immediately became frustrated again while clenching his fists tightly, before he then replied, "Angry and frustrated. Angry at myself because I'm still not able to control my Quirk, and frustrated because I, once more, ended up inside the Nurse's Office, waiting for Recovery Girl to patch me up again. Although Kacchan might have acted a bit overboard during the match, but, nonetheless, it was also my fault that I couldn't do anything about it and stop him." Midoriya's head drooped low in sadness.

"Heh~.. You received One For All not too long ago, right? And your body must not have been strong enough to house its power. It's not that surprising that you still have problems in controlling your Quirk. Your body clearly can't withstand 100% of One For All's power, so why are you still doing it?" I asked while looking straight into his eyes..

"But, what else should I do? Without One For All, I'm not even qualified to be in this school." Midoriya said frustratingly.

"That's not what I meant. I didn't tell you not to use your Quirk. I'm asking you, why are you using 100% of it if your body clearly can't handle it?" I raised my brow at him.

Midoriya immediately became stumped at my question. He didn't know how to answer this question at all. He couldn't help but ponder about it right now.

Meanwhile, All Might was just silently standing on the side without saying a single word. He had a hunch on what I was trying to do, so he let me fully handle it.

"I will tell you why. Because you still think that you have to be exactly like All Might! You try to copy what All Might is doing, but this obviously doesn't work. You and him are completely different people with different body types and fighting styles. You channel One For All into a single point to release an extremely strong attack, similarly to All Might, but you clearly can't handle that power." I patiently explained to him about his wrong mindset.

"Be like.. All Might?" Midoriya mumbled absentmindedly to himself. He was in a daze and thought seriously about my words.

Though, I didn't let him think further about it yet, and immediately continued on, "It's now YOUR Quirk! Sure, it was given to you by All Might, but this doesn't mean that you can't make this Quirk your own. Instead of 100%, why don't you first start with a percentage you can still handle without injuring yourself?"

"1%, 2%, 5%. Start slowly and then gradually progress with time. And also, I don't think you have to channel One For All into one body part at a time. Why don't you try to focus it evenly throughout your body, so you don't have to waste time activating your Quirk from one part of your body to the next, instead of having every part of your body ready simultaneously?" I advised him with my arms behind my back, giving off the image of a wise scholar.

"You are you, Midoriya. Don't try to imitate absolute everything another person do, even if it's All Might. I'm sure he rather wants you to surpass him, instead of becoming a complete copy of himself." I said solemnly.

Obviously, the advice wouldn't be necessary if it was given out at a later time, since he would've figured it out by himself. I simply wanted to help him get stronger faster and earlier.

I didn't care about the canon story. If an opportunity presented itself to me to apprehend a villain, even if he was from the 'League of Villains', I would damn well beat the hell out of them and put them behind bars. Similarly, if I could help someone, I will just do it. No need to think about what changes and consequences this might bring to the future.

Of course, this didn't mean that I would just recklessly do what I want, if it meant that it could lead to something much worse. I'll still think about whether my actions would lead to a more positive outcome or not before actually proceeding with it.

Helping Midoriya didn't seem that bad of an idea to me at all, no?

Anyway, Midoriya pondered seriously about my words and was already lost in his own thoughts. I'd said what I wanted to say, so I simply turned around, intending to leave, but not before giving something to All Might.

I created another energy ball and threw it at All Might. Naturally, he didn't reject it and let it submerged into his body.

"Thank you, Jin-shounen!" All Might sincerely thanked me for both the treatment and the advice I had given Midoriya.

"No problem. It's now time for me to go since class will be starting soon. Midoriya should stay here until the school ends. He should recuperate for a little longer." I stated plainly.

I had finished what I'd come here for. Other than giving some advice to Midoriya, I, obviously, also wanted to treat All Might again. With the progress I was constantly making with the technique, Ki Transfer, I was confident in healing All Might completely soon.

I bowed slightly towards Recovery Girl to say my goodbyes and then walked out of the Nurse's Office.

When I was editing this chapter, I noticed that something wasn't right when Jayden gave Midoriya some advice.

It kinda didn't feel logical to me for Jayden to say things like 'Don't try to be exactly like All Might' in this 'current' situation. Maybe it's too early? Or is it just simply nonsensical? I don't know. I don't know why it irked me when I read it again. I'm sure that when I've first written this chapter, it sounded quite normal to me..

Anyway, just ignore it if this kinda bothers you as well..

Have a good read, and sorry for the late update, I guess.
