The new me

I was sitting in the car with Philip he was holding my hand looking at me and smiling.

"When are we going to announce our engagement to the public," I asked Philip.

"First you'll have to meet my siblings Alex and Sarah. I told them about you they must be pretty stocked to hear that we're engaged."

"Can I tell my work friends?"

"Not now, why don't you tell your best friend, what was her name? Ahh... Elly."

"Well, maybe I should. It's been a long time since we haven't met."

"Did you get your card?" Philip asked.

"Yes, I did it's in my purse."

"Use it for personal and wedding expenses and don't worry about anything. It's my responsibility to take care of every expense, also tell your aunt not to worry."

"Ok, don't worry, I'll tell her."

"And I also remember that once we announced the engagement I'll deploy several guards for you and your aunt."

"What why?" I said to Philip in shock.

"Well, I don't wanna risk your safety. There are already deranged people lurking around my family, I don't need them to lurk around you or your aunt."

"Philip you're making this a big issue nothing is going to happen to us, and you should put a pin on the security guards."

"I'm not putting a pin on anything William, this is for your own safety, and I don't need to tell you how dangerous it was for my mother."

Then it hit me why he was so stubborn regarding security, his mother also suffered because of that. It was all on the News that his mother was kidnapped because she was shopping alone without any security, although in the end, she was fine and the kidnappers were all got arrested their family was pretty shaken.

My aunt had to be there for 5 days, I was with my neighbor aunty watching from the TV how things were unfolding.

I sat there quietly and rested my head on his shoulder while hugging his arm.

He kissed my forehead and said, "I don't wanna take any type of chance regarding you."

"Ok, do whatever you want."

On the ride home we sat in silence and when we arrived at my house, Philip said, "Should I send all the stuff to your house?"

"I don't have space, and you should keep them at your house, I know you'll tear apart whatever clothes I wear when I'm alone with you."

Philip smiled and said, "Guilty as charged."

I kissed him goodbye and went to my apartment.

I opened the door and saw my practically running back and forth frantically I rushed to her to ask what happened.

"What is going on why are you pacing back and forth like this?"

"Oh, you're here, where were you? Don't you know we have a ton of work to do before the wedding?"

"Yeah, I know."

"There are just too many expenses, how are we going to afford all that?"

I grabbed her shoulder and shook her hard.

"SNAPOUTOFIT."

She took a deep breath I settled her down on the couch, and I gave her some water to drink. When she finally caught her breath I said, "You don't have to worry about the money Philip already made sure that he got me a card for all the wedding expenses because it's his duty by tradition."

"Oh... Ok, I was just seeing all the expenses and they all just took over me. Forget about everything why are you wearing different clothes?"

"Ummm... I spilled something on my clothes and had to change at a nearby boutique." I told her, not wanting to face her.

I couldn't possibly tell her the truth about how I was getting thigh fucked by him. The thought of it made me blush.

"I booked the appointments for tomorrow, we'll go see the dresses and venue," Mariam said.

"When are the appointments?"

"Morning. Why are you asking?"

"Philip wanted to take me out on a date again tomorrow."

"Oh, you guys started dating after the engagement, quite an unusual choice but ok whatever you want."

"I'm gonna lay down on the bed."

I closed the door of my room and jumped on the bed, hugging the pillow.

Previously I was upset about the engagement but I accepted the terms of my wedding. I'll do everything in my power to be good to Philip if he's willing to make up for everything.

I'm starting to like him, I like it when he only looks at me. He only pays his attention to me, I'm okay with everything now rather than resisting I'll go where the ocean will take me. I closed my eyes, tired and bruised by my passionate session with Philip I went to sleep.

PHILIPS POV

My morning turned into an afternoon in a moment, I was happy because I saw William happy.

I'll have several meetings today, and then I'll have to fix the date for our engagement announcement.

I arrived at the office and saw the head secretary with another person standing in my office.

"Why are you here? Is everything alright?"

"I'm here to introduce you to your interim secretary until William is ready to fill in again."

William didn't resign? I thought to myself, well our engagement was hastily and I reckon if forgot about resigning.

"William will not be joining us anymore he has resigned. From now on my interim secretary is my permanent secretary now."

The head secretary was clearly confused, she has worked for our family for decades.

"Well, the new secretary are you a beta?"

"Yes, sir."

"Why don't you give me a moment alone with the head secretary, and get me my new project files."

"Ok, sir." What a nice fella! If he were an omega I wouldn't choose him. I don't want people to talk when I announce my engagement.

"Sit down head secretary, we should talk." She sat down waiting to speak.

"William and I are engaged now. We will announce the engagement in a couple of days with the coordination of our media representatives."

"Well, this is certainly news. Mind if I ask when did you two decide to get engaged?"

"Well you may not ask that, and instate this fella as my permanent one, also do keep this a secret I don't want this going out now."

"Ok, sir." She said then looked at her watch, "I should get going I'm on a tight schedule."

"Ok, then, and do send the France file while you're there."

She nodded and left. My afternoon was busy and so was the evening back-to-back meetings left me exhausted.

It was time to get home, my secretary called my car.

I got in and my driver said, "Sir, I just got a call from security that your fiance is at your house."

"What! Why!?"

"They don't know sir"

"Then start driving fast I want to be there in 5 minutes."

"Yes, sir."

My head was filled with things, what if something happened to him? Scenario after scenario forming in my mind taking me into the darkness which I despised.

My driver made it in time and I quickly got out practically running to see what happened and why is he there at this hour.

And when I got to my house what I saw...
