42 Chapter 41
I don't know how long Cal and I were talking, all I know is that he closed the store in the meantime. We talked for so long.

Cooper: Hey I'm not that bad at lying! (｡•́︿•̀｡)
Cal: Yeah, sure.
Cooper: What's that supposed to mean?!

Just imagining it, I know that his face looks annoyed right now.

Cooper: Yow answer me! Or else...

Cal: What do you want me to say?
Cooper: The truth of course!

Cal: ...

Cooper: Hmm, I will accept your answer.

I smiled. I never thought that talking to Cal would be this fun. I was about to type in a question when I heard the door of my room open.
I looked at the perpetrator and I saw papa frowning at me. I quickly turned off my phone and hid it under my pillow.
"Cooper, why are you still awake?" he asked.
Oh shoot. What to say?
"U-uhm, I was waiting for you to come home." I said.
His frowning eased and he smiled softly. "You don't have to do that. I value what you've done but if it will cause you a trip to the hospital then I'd rather you don't wait for me at all."
I snorted. "You're exaggerating."
"I hope you're not bored waiting for me."
"Nah, I have Ca—" I paused for a second. "Cats. I have cat videos to entertain me."
He raised his right eyebrow. "Uh-huh. That's totally believable."
I look at him and smile sheepishly.
"Are you not going to tell me what you're really doing?"
I shook my head. "It's private."
He nodded. "I understand. When I was your age I experienced it too. There's a lot of tissues used. It's perfectly normal for your age to be... hyped. But I advise you to clean before sleeping."
...what? Whaaaat?
My father saw me looking at him confused. "You know, the—" his right hand formed an 'O' and moved it up and down.
I tilted my head and just stared at him. What in the weird is he doing?
"What's that?"
"M*st*rb*ti*n." he answered simply.
"...What's m*st*rb*ti*n?"
He furrowed his brows. "It's not? Hmm, I thought with you having male friends, you would know it."
"Are you gonna tell me what it is?"
"No." Was papa's immediate reply.
I shrugged. Oh well, I'll just search for the meaning on the internet.
Papa forgot about the topic concerning what I am doing and told me that he's going to sleep and excused himself.
"Sleep now." Papa said.
"Yeeess." I didn't disagree. But it doesn't mean I will do it now.
"Oh and Cooper?"
"Hmm?"
"Forget that we had this talk okay?"
"Okay." I agreed easily. There's no harm done.
He sighed in relief. "Good." He closed the door.
I need to check on Cal. He'll be worried if I don't tell him what happened. I don't want him to think that I ignored him.
I took my phone out and unlocked it. There are three unread messages that were sent by Cal.

Cal: Hey.
Are you still awake?
Ok.

Oof. With just three messages, I can feel that he's a little bit angry.

Cooper: I'm sorry, I didn't get to respond right away. Papa came and caught me still awake. He's gone now though.
Cal: Oh.

Why back to a single word reply?!

Cooper: Are you mad? (｡•́︿•̀｡)
Cal: No.
Cooper: Then why did you revert to single word replies?
Cal: ...
I am not mad. I'm sleepy.
Cooper: Hi sleepy!
Cal: ...
Cooper: Sorry.
If you want you can stop chatting with me.

He didn't reply after that.
At first I thought that he went to sleep but just as I was about to turn off my phone, he messaged me one last time.

Cal: I had fun chatting with you. Just chat whenever you want to, I don't mind. Goodnight.

I smiled widely. He's beginning to open up to me! He texted me three sentences in one message. The progress of our friendship! It's at 45%! I wonder what kind of friendship we will have when it reaches 100%?
I replied to him.

Cooper: I had fun too! I will chat with you everyday and you can't take back what you said. Don't regret it! Goodnight Cal! Sweet dreams! (ﾉ*>∀<)ﾉ♡< p>

I sent it. Should I sleep or search what m*st*rb*ti*n means first?
After thinking about it, I decided to sleep. I can look it up tomorrow.
I put it in the memo that is in my phone. The title will be: Words to search.
Under this memo are the words that I am confused about. The first word is, dun dun dun! M**********n!
After saving it, I turned off my phone and put it on the side table.
I took a deep breath and closed my eyes.
I felt myself relax until my consciousness was consumed.

The first thing I heard when I woke up was the sound of the alarm clock. I grumbled and tried to turn it off. Key word, tried.
It's really hard to turn it off if you're still sleepy and dazed. When I still couldn't turn it off, I took it and threw it to the side of the room. I heard it get crushed but I don't care about that. I just want to go back to sleep.
I didn't even have the chance to close my eyes when the door of my room slammed open.
"Cooper, are you alright?" someone asked me. I recognized that voice, it's Ari. I frowned and gave him a lazy thumbs up. I swatted him away to let him know that I want to go back to sleep.
I covered myself with my blanket in the hopes of lessening the noise in my surroundings.
I fell asleep, but not that long. Someone shook my shoulders. "What?" Irritation was evident in my voice.
"Young master, it's Norvyn. Sir wants me to wake you up for breakfast."
"Nooo, I just want my sleep!" I whined.
"No can do young master, it's seven in the morning and it's time for breakfast." He insisted. "We don't want you to have an empty stomach. It is rather bad for your health to be asleep for so long."
I didn't move. After a minute, I gave in. "I will come down in a minute." I mumbled.
Norvyn didn't answer but I know he heard me when he exited the room.
I grabbed my phone and messaged Cal.

Cooper: Good morning Cal! I hope you had a good meow sleep! ฅ'ω'ฅ
~
I hope he understands it. If not, it's not my problem.
I told Norvyn that I will be there in a minute but I think he has to wait for five minutes because I will continue to sleep.
And he can't wake me up because… because Zzz…
