C38: Why they call me Captain

"I'll show you why all those men called me their Captain!"

The wind around her swirled at an immense speed and it was almost like a tornado now.

"Wind Drago Style! Dragon Slash, Grade One!" Holding back her two katanas, she flew towards the flaming woman.

The mana coming from Elijah was not of a human now, but of a dragon.

The flaming woman happened to notice this, but she was a Legend too... There was no possible way she would back down when she activated her Inferno Max!

Closing her eyes, she pulled back the arm she created with fire and charged her fist towards the incoming dragon-like woman.

In half a second, the ones who were a great distance away from each other were only meters away.

Their eyes met, as Elijah slashed the woman's flaming arm, with both her katanas.

Boom! A blinding spark emitted as her sword met her flaming arm, pushing them both into the thin air. However, Elijah wasn't done.

Instantly, she gained control of the flight and plummeted in the air, targeting the flaming woman once more.

"Haha! You can't beat me, little girl! You're weak!" Elijah taunted her, as she flew towards her for the finishing blow. However, her mana was running low too.

She had no way to regain it, but she had faith in this last blow. This one was surely going to kill the murderous woman in front of her.

"Wind Dragon Style, 4th Grade Dragoncutter!" She yelled as she charged towards the red-haired woman, riding the wind at a tremendous speed.

"Claire... You can do it. Trust in yourself. With that skill, and that born flame of yours... You can light up the world. You are like a meteor. You fall like an star, and from that very ground you destroy, you give life to beauty that can never be seen."

Claire's memories flashed in front of her eyes. The words from her Young Lord Ray... The words that made her step up and fall... Fall like a meteor and from the destruction, make a new world.

Her blazing arm disappeared with just one slash, and she could sense Captain Leaf shooting towards her at max speed.

'I won't give up, my Lord... Please forgive me if I die here... If I die, I am not worthy to serve you.'

Her whole air was set ablaze, another flaming arm generated, and her two beautiful crimson eyes, burning.

BOOM! She set off like a shooting star, descending from the skies, yet, faster than any of her moves she used before.

The whole crowd fixed their gazes upon this battle, looking at the two fight in mid-air. The guards stood back, hoping for the crimson-eyed lady to win, but the obvious winner was the dragon girl, so they thought.

Cutting through the air just like a wind dragon, Elijah reached for the flaming meteorite charging towards her.

"Die —" a sudden pause and a second later, blood poured out of her mouth. Something sank into her stomach, something sharp.

Her view slightly blurred, as her swords reached for the incoming target. She was wounded, but she couldn't stop the speed she created.

Still holding the two katanas up, Elijah blasted towards the meteor.

And... BOOM!

A punch with the flaming arm to her face. The impact was deadly. She blasted down towards the town in sonic speed and she fell onto a building, instantly crashing through it and crashing onto the street once more.

Lady Dalahed turned her head to face the boy with a grin. "Feel it!? Do you feel the pain of losing a loved one!??"

Owl was blazing with too much anger, so he couldn't even hear the woman any longer. The blood that shattered in the sky was Elijah's.

And a moment later, BOOM!

Elijah shot across the air and crashed into the building right next to him.

His rage grew, and the dark veins did not color themselves from darkness anymore. His left arm lit up with a golden glamour, and his worst skill was activated.

Owl put his right foot back and paced his jump. Boom! At an incredible speed, he launched into the air, and the blind woman's instinct was not fast enough to feel Owl's movement.

The moment his fist came in contact with the woman's body, the time itself, stopped. And with a flash, Owl's conscience teleported to a place he never wanted to go to... But for this, he must.

The center of her soul and her life. The Bridge of Life, one might call it.

Only ones who are blessed with the cruelest and darkest powers can enter this... And Owl was one of them.

Soul Destroyer. A skill that has no special techniques or anything... Only the purpose of destroying one's soul.

Owl was standing on a space that looked like a floor made from the clear skies on a summer night. Stars filled the floor, and at the center, a blue figure stood.

It was made from blue transparent dust and an incredible amount of energy emitted from it. It was the very soul.

However, the figure of the soul was not a tall woman, but a small boy's figure.

"One's heart is their lover. One's soul is the prize of their love, their child..." his grandfather once said this, and Owl didn't believe it until he entered this state for the first time, 500 years ago.

"Owl... Don't!"

"You'll be cursed forever! Don't do this Owl! Don't!!!"

"I didn't mean to kill her!!"

"Please... Let me at least... At least..."

Owl shook his head. Many times had he done this, and this wasn't the time to turn his head. He couldn't exit the realm without taking her soul with him.

"Hm hm... At least touch him? Kiss him? Feel him? See him?? You can't... You can't do anything... You're already dead if you can't even see or touch your own child."

Owl walked towards the center of the vast sea of stars.

A small boy, waving at him. Owl was at least three times taller than the little boy was. It was the true soul of the mother. And this innocent soul gives life to a monstrous human...

"Owl... What happened to Mom? Did you — slaughter my father?"

A voice echoed from the mouthless child's whole body. Or was it Owl's own head... Or... the soul realm was getting into his head! Either way, he must destroy the soul, or both his soul and the woman's die.

"Owl... Why!? Why did you kill my —" before the little child could grab him, Owl kicked the child to the ground.

"Because..." Owl paused. "These fists... are meant to kill the likes of you, Lady Dalahad."

Bam! A punch to the little child's face thrust his head against the ground. Bam! Bam! Bam! With his eyes closed, he punched the little boy over and over again...

[Soul Destroyed]

"Bye-bye, murderer..." the little boy disappeared into the thin air.

Boom! Owl came back to the real world. Despite the speed of Owl, the impact on the Lady was light. She instantly fell dead, as her soul was taken from her.
