"Orchid, orchid" Maya frantically tapped on my shoulders jolting me back to reality,
"Yes" I replied lazily
"What's wrong, you've been zoning out lately"
"Hmm...it's nothing" I said turning my head back to my book. I been so distracted lately I haven't even finished my paragraph on the essay am writing, I groaned.
I been distracted lately, I still can't seem to forget what happened between me and jade last night, nothing much but I've been confused.
I shook my head and tapped my cheek three times, " okay orchid, this assignment is due lunch time, I have to get this done, no more distractions", just when I thought things was getting better.... "Good morning everyoneeeee" Rose screamed grabbing everyone attention to Her and the squad.
Rose the most richest and popular girl in college, and her squad, Tiffany, temple and Jade. She practically thinks she owns the school because of the power and connection her dad uses in her favor, she could get anything she wants or even anyone, did I forget she's the meanest, oh and her anger issues are of the chart.
No one could stand her and her attitude, even her squad is just with her for fame except Jade, Jade is..really really cute, I mean I'm not gay but Jades beauty is on a whole other level, boys literally beg to kiss her feet, Rose was jealous of Jades beauty and doesn't want to kick her out of the squad because she uses Jade to do her homework and an errand girl.
Poor Jade, her father works for Mr Clayton, a well known successful architect, known for his million dollar designs and art, too bad he has a spoilt daughter, who could bend him into doing what ever she wants and now poor Jade has to comply or else she'll be her family's downfall.
I've never actually talked to Jade until that night:
At a school night party, Im not a party person and just decided to go because of my friends, while they were having fun I was busy sitting in our booth drinking coconut juice, I got so bored that I turned on my earpods and dived into YouTube videos of my favorite channel 'MSA: my story animated' , well I have to admit their lives are better than mine, they always have an happy ending. Time passed, as my neck started to hurt a lot, I pulled up my head and stretched my body seeing a drunk girl on the other side of the booth " when..how?" I frantically looked around for my friends, Abi and Claudine, they were busy at some guys booth, probably flirting with him, I the. Looked back at the girl, her face was covered with her long black hair.
"She looks really drunk" I said to myself, wondering who she was, I moved closer and pulled her hair away from her face, my hand flew to my mouth as I gasped in shock.
"Jade?" I unknown said out loud making her open her eyes and stare at me, not knowing what to do I just sat there staring back, she sat upright, still very drunk and said " where's the bathroom".
"Oh The....thee..uhm..oh the bathroom...it's uhm..in..left.. upstairs no by your right then you go down anddd..." I stopped talking when I noticed she was looking at me as if I was the drunk one "just take me there" she reached out her hand for me to grab.
As our hands touched, I felt something surge through our hands into my body, it was really strange, her hands were pale and soft, I liked it. I raised her up and held her as we walked to the bathroom.
I waited outside the bathroom stall she was in still wondering how I of all the people in the school, actually talked to Jade, The jade, the schools prettiest, the girl who barely talks to anyone except Rose, the girl who turned straight girls gay just by looking or talking to them. Ohh I talk to much gosh.
Minutes later jade stepped out, I didn't realize her outfit when we were in the dark club, she looked smoking hottt, she was wearing a black bodyhug slim gown with a red rose by the waist, her black heels with white pattern design, must be really expensive looking at it, and her make up, just light and heavenly, I wonder what her face feels like. She sat down at the corner of the wall "I need to rest a little my head is hurting, don't go, wait for me"
Wait? I can't do that, what if my friends are looking for me, we can't just stay in the bathroom till shes sober, it'll take so longgg, I have to get home soon anyways I haven't done my homework ohhh.
"Please" she said staring at me, why does she keep staring at me, does she think am pretty? Nahh, I'm dressed plain, a brown oversize and black shorts and a hello kitty cap, I tried to spice things up okay, it's my party cap.
I just sighed and sat right next to her looking up at the bulb. "Who are you anyways" she said.
My eyes widened, she doesn't even know me and she's asks me to take her to the bathroom alone, what if I was a serial killer don't I look vicious enough to be one.
" My name's orchid, we go to the same college Borndayam College?" "What department are you"
" oh I'm in English and literature"
"you are?"
"Yes"
"Me too, but how come I've never seen you, I'm pretty sure i know every girl in my class"
"Haha I guess I'm one of the invisible shy one" I said still looking up, I could feel Jades gaze on me, it felt deep like she was thinking about something.
"What's your sexuality" she said taking away her gaze from me to the ceiling

"Oh I'm..i'm straight"
What does she meannnnn,I'm clearly a straight does she think am gay because of how I'm dressed I hope nottt, think Is so weirddddd.

"Huh" I looked at her

This time she looks at me, I couldn't get what she was thinking but I couldn't look away, I felt trapped.

Whatttttt, I screamed inwardly, her type?me? What is this conversation.
Still staring at her, she turned to me and loved her face closer to mine, our mouth were inches apart from each other, I could feel her hot breath on me at it was something else. "Hmm" she said and moved back to her position, this time with her head facing down like she was disappointed or something.
"Let's go, this bathroom is starting to stink" she said without wasting time she got up and walked out, I also rushed up and followed her, was i supposed to follow her? Am not even sure, she's still really drunk.
"Call me a can, I love at uhm somewhere apartment 11 uhmm I can't remember" she said still wobbly.
I don't know where she lives, for crying out loud someone come to my rescue, I can't just leave her in a cab going to nowhere....should I take her home?, will she be mad at me?
"JADE!" Some guy yelled rushing over to us, "Justin?" She replied.
Oh it's her boyfriend, J and J,who in school doesn't know them, he took her out of my hands and said " thanks for watching over her, I'll take it over from here now
"Justin, you piece of shit where have you been" jade said clearly still drunk and wobbly. " No jade where did you go, one minute you were chugging down drinks the next minute you were gone, ivee been looking for you all day" she smiled and he carried her back inside.
Well, that's over and am really tired I should text Abi that am going home,
I later got a reply, " sure girl, Claudine and I re gonna stay a little longer ,these dudes are hot as hell, by bye girl"
I just rolled my eyes and called a cab, I don't get the fuss on why they are obsessing over dumb dudes,Tch.
When I got home I collapsed on my bed, I was too tired to take a shower so I just got comfy and tried to fall asleep, but seems my mind had another plan of its own as memories of what happened in the bathroom came flashing back, I face palmed mysled and grunted " why can't I sleep urghhh" Jade was flooding my mind, I couldn't believe I actually got to talk to her, even if it was at the toilet, it still counts though.
Then I remember when he asks me about my sexuality and the things she said,
"If I was, you'd definitely be my type "
Wait a minute, is Jade no no no, she has a boyfriend it's not possible, unless...so does that mean that
Jade is gay?
