Everyone’s regret

After about two seconds of silence, Baxter opened his mouth again.

"How?" His serious voice meant he was interested to know.

Without saying anything, Jem raised his right hand. When everyone around him noticed it, they automatically looked at it. They saw that his palm was clenched. But when Jem opened his palm, they saw a small bottle with the familiar red liquid inside it.

"This is the answer," Jem replied calmly.

"E-elixir?!"

Baxter exclaimed slightly when he saw it.

"Yes, that's right. It is a healing elixir. I won't tell you what it's for because you seem to know that thing already."

Baxter agrees with what Jem said. Elixirs were not uncommon in the East District. They were abundant in the markets, especially in the major cities of the East District. Baxter and each of his companions also have them in reserve whenever they go on a mission inside or outside the dungeon.
