7 Hage Village

Everyone was becoming aware of what power they had. After a few minutes of everyone taking in their newfound power, we started to get back to getting out of the forest.

After a few hours of walking, we finally caught sight of a village in the distance.

"FINALLY!" Hori said exasperated.

We finally arrived at the village. The most notable thing about this village is the huge demon skull not that far away.

"Wow! That is huge!" Yato shouted.

Everyone nodded as they stared at the huge demon skull, but they were interrupted by a voice.

"Foreigners? Who are you?"

A man with brown hair and brown eyes seemed to inspect us.

Hanabi stepped up, "Um, we are from far away and we were on a journey however we got lost. We were looking to find somewhere where we can get grimoires."

The man seemed a bit taken aback by the mention of grimoires but quickly regained his composure, "O-okay, then follow me. I will show you where the father is."

He began walking and we followed.

"The father?" Hori muttered.

"Maybe a religious person?" I added

We followed the villager all the way into the church. When we walked past, there were many villagers who looked at us with questioning eyes as if they were wondering who we were.

Foreigners weren't exactly common in the Clover kingdom. Also, our clothes weren't exactly made for this world.

We were brought up to the church and we looked around and we saw kids doing chores too, however, they didn't look like blood relatives. An orphanage church?

Then we saw a boy asking a nun to marry him.

"Sister Lily! MARRY ME!!!!!" A loud yell erupted and almost made my ears bleed.

"Noooo!" The nun summoned a water fist and smashed the boy right into the ground.

"..."

Everyone saw the sight and was speechless.

We looked over to the villager who guided us, and he just looked away shyly but coughed to get himself out of it, "T-that is a brat from the here. His name is Asta."

Asta, what a peculiar name.

"Sister Lily." The guide called out.

Sister Lily looked over and saw us. "Oh? Visitors? Foreigners at that too?"

"Yes. They have come to get a grimoire. I brought them here so they could get more information."

"Oh, okay." Then she looked over to us, "Please come in, I will serve you some food and drinks until Father comes."

We all ignored the boy who looked dead and stuck in the ground.

We followed her into the church and went into the 'dining room'. We sat down and waited until Sister Lily brought us food and drinks.

"Thank you." I smiled at her to show my gratefulness.

"Oh, no problem."

After I thanked her, everyone began to do so too, and we began to eat.

Taking a bite, our eyes widened.

"Mhmm. This is so good." Yato said and began to eat even faster.

Sister Lily chuckled a bit and replied, "This is our village's famous food called Tatoes."

"This makes me feel so thirsty too." After saying that, Hanabi picked up her cup and began to take a sip.

"This is very good." We all looked toward who said that and our eyes landed on Levi. Seeing him eat so curtly, we all laughed.

"So, what is the reason for your visit?" Sister Lily asked.

"We were on a journey to get ourselves a grimoire, but we got lost in the forest," Hanabi said.

"You have come here to get a grimoire?!!" A boy barged in screaming.

"Er, yes." Hanabi was taken aback by the boy's loud voice.

"Me too! I will get a grimoire and become the Wizard King!"

"Wizard King?" I spoke out.

"You don't know about the wizard king?!" The boy seemed to be shocked.

"Haha, we came from a long way." I lightly chuckled.

"Let me tell you!" The boy had stars in his eyes, "The Wizard King is a title held by the strongest Magic Knight of the Clover Kingdom! He is so cool and I'm going to become the Wizard King!"

"Ah, I see." The Wizard king huh. I wonder what kind of magic he has.

"Anyways who are you?" I asked

"My name is Asta, and I will become a Magic Knight and become the Wizard King!" He screamed out.

Hey boy scream a little louder and then the universe should be able to hear you.

Asta is a young man of short stature with an exceptionally muscular build. He has green eyes and messy, ash-blond hair with bangs in front of his forehead and a single strand protruding upwards from the center of his head. He keeps his hair together with a black headband.

Then the door opened, and an old man walked in. He is a middle-aged (I call cap) man with short, gray hair and a goatee.

He wears a long, black robe with wide, white bands at the hem and cuffs. He also wears a high-collared, white mantle and a gold necklace with a cross.

"Hello, visitors. I am Father Orsi Orfai. One of the villagers told me that you guys were planning on getting a grimoire."

Hanabi nodded, "Yes and we were wondering where to get one."

"Hmm," Orsi thought for a second, "The grimoire gifting is in one month."

"One month," Hanabi muttered. "Is there a place where all 5 of us can stay?"

"We do have an empty house just in case we do have visitors, but I hope you can do some tasks here to lighten up the load of the people in the village."

"We can definitely do that," Hanabi said, and we all nodded.

"Great. I will show you where you will be staying for the month." Orsi said happily.

He took us to some houses that looked a bit worn down but other than that it was perfectly fine.

"Here it is. There are already blankets and other stuff that you need since we always prepare for visitors."

"Thank you." Hanabi said gratefully.

Orsi smiled. "We will also give you fresh clothing and food real soon and I will be showing you what you will do for the rest of the month after you guys get some much-needed rest."

We all nodded. We had the boys enter one house and the girls in the other. There were 5 beds. An extra two must have been in case a lot of visitors stayed. The house was also a bit dusty and dirty but it's fine.

Yato immediately jumped on the bed and fell straight asleep. Levi looked around and unpacked his bag. He took out his cleaning materials.

I looked at him in disbelief, "Seriously? We are in another world, and you can't just not be a clean freak for once?"

Levi looked at me and said with an expressionless face, "My job is never done even in another world."

I laughed, "Alright then. Suit yourself. I will be sleeping. I lay down on the bed and close my eyes."

A few hours passed.

We were all outside of the house looking at Orsi speaking, "Here are the clothes. I'm not sure if you guys want to be wearing that while working."

I went up to him and grabbed the clothes, "We wouldn't haha. I quite like my outfit quite a bit."

Everyone went to get their clothes. We all went inside the house and got changed quickly and came back out.

Orsi clapped his hands, "Then follow me. I will show you what you will be doing for this month."

We went to the fields and Orsi introduced us to the farmers. Wait? Introduce?

"These people are..." Orsi paused for a second and shyly looked at us, "Haha, come to think of it, I never asked for your names."

'What a blunder' Orsi silently rebuked himself.

"Hanabi."

"Levi."

"Yato!"

"My name is Hori Kyouko but call me Hori."

"Baal."

"Ahh well, there we go. Well, the men work here and do the heavy lifting and the farming. While the woman sometimes pick the crops but most of them wash laundry, cook, clean some buildings, etc."

We all nodded, and the men began their work. Orsi took Hori and Hanabi to where they will wash the laundry and the other stuff.

Just like that almost a month passed.

During the time we were here we have gotten even more familiar with each other and have even gotten friendly with the villagers.

I even got friendly with the boys named, Asta and Yuno. Though Levi and I were more familiar with Yuno and Asta were more familiar with Yato.

Most of the time when Asta sees me, he tries to fight me after that one time when he looked at my physique and challenged me to a fight.

Let's just say that he was badly beaten.

I finally understood how Killian felt when fighting against me.

However, with Yuno, we would occasionally talk about things and read books. I got knowledge about this world and its common sense but who was I? I am Baal, the breaker of commonsense.

Doing these chores wasn't the only thing I did this month. I trained my magic enough that materializing it into a solid, liquid, or gas was something I can do consistently.

The rest of the group chat members also saw me do magic and I occasionally gave advice to them, and they also began training their magic.

Though, since it was hot out, I took off my shirt and my perfect body came into the show. The woman villagers drooled while the men villagers clicked their tongues.

Even Hanabi and Hori appreciated my body while Levi and Yato clicked their tongues in jealousy.

This month was almost over, and it was going to be time to get our grimoires and begin our path to become Magic Knights.
