1 What Will I Do Now?

"Treading Fist, defend me. Old Bamboo, go for the kill. The rest of you, distract the other enemies!" a girl commanded with her slender fingers hitting the keyboard.

The character flew with grace, wielding a spear for a weapon. She moved around as she pierced every enemy on sight. With a few passing minutes, the screen of the computer displayed "Victory!"

She wiped the sweat trickling down from her forehead to her cheeks with the back of her hand. Her black-jet hair waived around as she took off the headset. Her plump red lips curved upwards as she looked around and raised her right fist to the air.

Everyone around her jumped for joy and screamed.

"Yes! We did it! Now, we can establish a team!" a man exclaimed as he went towards the beautiful woman who was still sitting and smiling.

"Wei Yi, now that we've achieved the first step, what are you gonna do?" she looked at his face with an innocent expression.

"Of course, I won't stop there. I'm doing all this to meet my master!" Wei Yi smiled widely, making her seem as a little child that did something good to be proud of.

This girl was none other than Wei Yi. A beautiful girl whose looks exceed that of a normal human being, gaining her the nickname of "Goddess" in Feng University.

"Right. But as you know, our school is just one of the universities solely for eSports[1]. And it's not even one of the strongest. Getting the first step is already a huge obstacle, what do you think about the next one?" Liu Shan moved to the fridge and grabs two cold drinks, tossing one to Wei Yi.

"Don't forget, you have me! My moves are comparable to that of the Master!" she opens the lid and started gulping it down.

"Right right right. You're the most awesome." Liu Shan rolled his eyes as he retorted sarcastically.

"We can also recruit talented new students. There should be many this school year." Wei Yi stood up and stretched her body.

"And how do you suppose we do that?" Liu Shan arched his brow and looked at her seriously.

Wei Yi grinned and walked towards the TV remote, pressing it. "Make happy those who are near, and those who are far will come." she looked back and winked at Liu Shan before turning back again to see the news.

Her eyes sparkled seeing the person on TV. It was her idol, her master, and the reason why she chose the path of a gamer, knowing it would not last long. Apparently they only had one fateful meeting and that was the turning point of her life. And this time, the news shook her to the core.

"I am announcing that I will be moving out of the professional league due to my lack of skills. I am also unsure whether I'd be able to return or not but please do not worry. Valiance will always be Valiance with or without me." the man fist bumped to the camera and then walked out of the conference. He wore a hat and a mask so his face was hidden and the only thing unique about him was his blue and green heterochromatic eyes. None will ever know the identity of the ranked 1 player in Valiance now.

Wei Yi's heart was pierced with sadness as tears formed on her eyes. Her legs wobbled and gave away, knocking her to the floor. She looked back to Liu Shan with a pained expression as she clutched her chest.

"What will I do now?"
