Maid and little sister

When Grace heard this, tears streamed down her face and she pulled Arthur into her warm embrace.

"I'm sorry, son. I should've protected you better. Forgive your mother." She apologized repeatedly.

By now, Arthur had understood that someone from the Dragonheart family wanted him dead for some reason and they were the ones behind this world's original Arthur's death.

'Damn! I can't have a peaceful life, can I?' He thought, but there was something more urgent. He wanted to check the recent notifications and what the system meant by the 'log out' and 'return to your original world'.

Grace cried for a while, pouring out all her guilt. After she calmed down and broke the hug, she grabbed his hand and glanced at Alice. "Alice, come inside. Let me properly thank you."

Alice, however, shook her head, "It's alright, aunt. You know big brother Arthur and I are close. So, it's only natural I will help him, so there is no need to thank me. It'll only make me feel uncomfortable. Besides, I'm a Rosewood. If I go in, that will make both of our families restless."

She chuckled as she said the last part.

Grace was silent for a moment before she took out a small pouch and gave it to her. "Since you don't want me to thank you, here is a small something that will be useful to you."

Seeing Alice wanted to reject, her expression became stern, and she glared at her. "Don't call me aunt if you reject it too."

Hearing this, Alice reluctantly accepted the pouch.

Curious to know what this ordinary-looking pouch was, Arthur glanced at it, and its information appeared in front of him.

[Spatial storage bag (Grade: Poor)]

After putting the pouch away, Alice bowed to Grace and nodded to him, "Alright, aunt, big brother. Take care of yourselves. If I can, I'll meet you before returning to my sect. Now, please excuse us."

Saying this, she led her two senior brothers away.

"Let's go, son. You must be hungry and tired." Grace said, and then Arthur felt a gentle energy wrap around him. And before he could react,

Whoosh!

They were rushing deeper into the Dragonheart family at a crazy fast speed, which caused his vision to blur.

Fortunately, he could breathe with no problem, probably because of the energy he felt. So, he quit trying to look around and focused on enjoying the pleasant sensation of the wind kissing his face, his clothes and hair fluttering.

A while later, they arrived in front of a large, luxurious mansion.

'Woah! This is even bigger than my parents' villa back on earth, not to mention, royal.' Arthur thought, stunned.

Creak~!

The large wooden door opened and a beautiful young girl in a maid's outfit, and had long silver color hair, appeared in front of them. Bowing with respect, she greeted, "Welcome back, my lady and young master."

The

Grace nodded at her before glancing at Arthur, whose eyes were still checking out the beautiful maid in front of him. She looked amused by this because her son had never showed interest in any woman, but right now he was.

'Maybe it's because he lost his memories.' She thought and immediately became angry. She knew who was targeting him and had complained about the issue to her husband, the Dragonheart family's patriarch, but he paid no heed to it, which made her angry.

But what could she do? Force him or go kill the bastard who was after her son's life? She could do both if she wasn't weaker than them.

Realising she was becoming angry, she quickly forced herself to calm down and smiled at him. "Arthur, does this young lady seem familiar to you?"

Arthur squinted, trying to feel if he had the same feeling he had when he saw Grace. But he didn't feel it.

"No. She does not." He shook his head.

"Oh?" Grace was disappointed because it meant his case was severe.

"If I may, my lady, what's going on?" The maid asked, confused.

"Oh, Evie, your young master… he has lost his memories." Grace sighed.

"What?! How?!" Evie asked, looking distraught.

'Mm? Does she have a good relationship with me?' He thought and then glanced at her information.

[Name: Evie Raise]

[Level: 5]

[Cultivation: Skin tempering realm (5th stage)]

[Health: 60/60]

[Relationship: Personal maid, friend.]

[Status: Worried, anxious.]

'Yeah. That seems to be the case.' He nodded to himself. But he felt a little depressed because even his maid was stronger than him.

Just then,

Whoosh!

A figure rushed out from inside, and before he could react, he found himself in the embrace of a petite young girl.

"Eh?" Arthur was confused and quickly read her information.

[Name: Victoria Dragonheart]

[Level: ????]

[Cultivation: ????]

[Health: ????]

[Relationship: Sister]

[Status: Worried, angry, happy.]

'She is my sister, huh? And apparently way stronger than me.' Arthur thought, 'It seems I've worried everyone, or at least those who care about me.'

Suddenly, he felt his robes get wet, and realised she was crying.

His heart ached for some explicable reason, and before he knew, he found himself putting his arms around her and gently patting her back. "Shhh! Don't cry. I'm alright."

Victoria hugged him tighter in response, stuffed her face in his chest and continued to sob silently.

A while later, Grace spoke up, "It's alright, Vic. Don't cry now and let your brother in. He needs to rest."

Finally, Victoria loosened her grip around him before pulling away. Arthur could finally see her face. She was petite, had a pretty face, beautiful blue eyes and long silky blonde hair just like her mother. She looked a younger and less curvy version of her.

Her teary eyes peered into his as she asked, "Big brother, do you remember me or have you forgotten me too?"

"Eh? How do you know?" Arthur asked, surprised. But he quickly understood that she must have heard his mother when she told Evie about it.

"I heard it, of course." Victoria said and asked again, "Tell me, do you remember me?"

"I, uh, don't." Arthur answered and when he saw her face droop, he quickly added, "But… I can feel you are someone close to me."

"I-I swear I'll avenge you, big brother." She said, her tears falling down her cheeks again. She then turned around and ran inside.

"Let's go, Arthur." Grace said before turning to Evie. "Did you prepare a bath for him?"

"Yes, my lady."

"Alright. Lead him to the bathroom and help him wash. I'll prepare a meal for him in the meantime." Grace said before walking away.
