This nature of the devils was the result of Darkness Element or the Death law. This nature of devils is not inherently bad or evil by itself, after all the Ancestral Goddess was the one to birth them. They just had more negative emotions in them.

This is the reason that Noah decided to merge with the Devil Origin Orb. On the Origin Path that he decided for himself, the presence of negative or devil was necessary. And Noah never considered himself as a good person.
