Traitor?

"Everyone, go to your stations; you should have received sufficient training for the weaponry my wife designed." Asmodeus shouted as they took their positions.

"Good, when the target is within range, fire on my mark."

Hundreds of Succubus stood by, controlling the magic cannons, Ballista, and lastly mid-range archers.

"Grrrraaaaaaa."

Thousands of monster emerged in our vision as they ran for the wall enclosing the Eros Empire.

"Orsea didn't you say they only had 40,000 with 10,000 Incubus and 30,000 Monster, then why do I see 100x of that?" Asmodeus said as an irritated look came on my face.

"I apologize for my ineptness, but they only had 40,000 troops when I scanned them, therefore they must've hidden nearly 4 million of their troops when I scanned them, but that is only possible if they knew we were spying on them, which indicates we have a traitor or intruder." Orsea said as she realized what had happened, but she couldn't figure out who it was.

"Find out who the traitor is and imprison her, for I have a good punishment planned for her." Asmodeus said as a sadistic grin on her face.

"Yes, my empress." Orsea bowed and slipped into the shadows, eagerly carrying out her master's orders.

The beast were soon 100 meters from the wall.

*Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang!

Multiple magic cannons shot AOE spells upon the incoming monsters.

*Booom!, Kaboooom!, Booooooom…!

The AOE magic cannons disintegrated tens of thousands of monsters on the spot, and the living monsters detoured around the regions impacted as searing flames scorched the terrain.

"Fire Ballistas with Death Inducement."

*Clink!

The succubus injected death enticement into an arrow, which she then loaded into the chamber with a clinking sound.

*Swoosh, Swoosh, Swoosh, Swoosh, Swoosh, Swoosh!

Thousands of arrows were launched into the air, showering down on the monsters charging towards the wall.

*Pffft…!, Pfffffftt…!, Pfffffffffttt…!

As the arrows reached their targets, blood splashed everywhere, tearing through anything in their path with ease.

Thousands upon thousands of monsters laid dead on the ground, their blood staining the ground and giving it a lovely crimson hue, but the surviving monsters did not retreat or cower, instead charged forward.

"Roarrrrrrr."

"Archers infuse arrows with pain and corruption

Inducement."

*Clink!

The Succubus Archers notched light purple and pitch black arrows onto their bows.

*Swish, Swish, Swish, Swish, Swish, Swish!

The arrows soared through the air until they were above the charging creatures, when they rained down on them.

*Pffftt, pfffft, pfffffftt!

The monsters roared in pain as their eyes went red and a pitch black aura emanated from their bodies.

As the corruption inducement infected their minds, they began attacking everything in sight, severing the controller's link.

*Crunch!

The monsters bit another monster that was not hit by the barrage of arrows, distributing the corruption as the one that bit began attacking the one that bit, setting off a chain reaction that infected tens of thousands in a matter of a few minutes.

"That should take care of a decent amount of the monsters." Asmodeus thought as a grin spread across her face.

"Hold fire, let the monsters fight it out; if you fire, I'll personally kill you."

Normally, Asmodeus would not say such things, but considering the nature of the war and the likelihood of several traitors among her troops, she enacted this rule, ensuring that anyone attempting to sabotage them would be slain on the spot before they could move an inch.

"All I have to do now is wait for the traitor, or should I say traitors, to appear." Asmodeus thought with her grin expanding even more.

18 days passed just like that.

Due to the monsters approaching the wall, the Succubus began close range fighting, albeit at the cost of a quarter of a million monsters. The traitor has yet to be discovered, as the cannons continue to slay the monsters in the distance, with no indication of the incubuses who were hiding behind the army of monsters.

(Aurora's POV)

I've spent the last 12 days mainly resting, and the occasions I wasn't resting, I just relaxed, but as I neared the conclusion of my first trimester, I noticed a small bump on my belly.

I was strolling through the palace, marveling at sights I'd never seen before and stroking my stomach as I felt closer to the unborn children in my womb.

"These are beautiful paintings." I muttered as I walked by the gorgeous artwork on the walls.

"Since the Queen is so preoccupied with leading her troops on the wall, I'll kill her wife, hehehe." A woman's voice could be heard around the corner.

I pressed my back against the wall and activated [Invisibility], whilst using [Imagination Creation] to create a skill that would conceal my presence, aura, sound, and scent.

[Host has created the skill Imperceptibility]

As she walked past me and looked in my direction, I swiftly activated [Imperceptibility].

"Thought I sensed someone, but I was probably just overthinking it." The woman said as she turned around and resumed walking.

"Alexa is Orsea a traitor?" I asked as Orsea was the woman who had just walked past me.

[she isn't the same Orsea we met at the gathering, she must be an incubus disguised as Orsea, but that still doesn't explain why she has experience as a strategist unless she can steal specific information and skills from others, but not all of them.] Alexa said, her voice pondering.

"What are the chances of me beating her in my current state?" I inquired as I was concerned that if I fought, I would harm my baby.

[Since you won't be able to kill her with your normal methods, give her a good punishment instead of killing her, which should grant you experience points.] Alexa said as a smile appeared on her nonexistent face.
