My Fucked Up World Traveling System

Status: Indefinite Hiatus. We live in a world where monsters dominate the earth, causing humans to be pushed into small colonies that are barely thriving, unable to fight back with our useless weaponry. But once we were on the brink of extinction, people began obtaining magic systems, which allowed us to push back and gain some of the lost land we had once. … Three years later, in a small house on the outskirts of the New York safe zone, lived a 15-year-old boy named Alex with his aunt and uncle, since his parents were killed in a siege of monsters three years ago. Today, Alex would be awakening his system, which would allow him to become an adventurer to fight in the dungeons or the monsters in the wilderness. … They soon arrived at the ceremony, and it started shortly after with hundreds of young men and women awakening their systems with their families watching. Eventually, it became Alex’s turn, and he stepped up to the awakening stone and pressed his hand against it. The Swamp (3)

The sun had reached its peak in the sky, shining in full glory upon the world. Somewhere not far from the edge of an otherworldly swamp lied a beautiful girl on a tree who looked to be around 13 years old. She had been sleeping for the last six hours after falling asleep unknowingly.

Her eyes fluttered open as she gradually moved her head around, taking in her surroundings. Looking up, she saw the sun's filtration through the leaves of the tree she lay on. It landed on her face, forcing her to squint her eyes slightly.

Putting her hands on the branch she sat on, she pulled herself up into a sitting position with her back resting against the trunk of the tree.

'I'm glad I was able to fall asleep.' She glanced down at the changes in her body.

The first change she noticed was that her height had grown by another two inches, bringing her height to 5 ft. 3. Her chest size also grew to C Cup—this brought her a few steps closer to regaining her former appearance.

'My race won't be evolving until I reach the next evolution at level 100.' Aurora closed her system and looked down below. 'I should head further into the swamp.'

She leapt down from the tree, and landed softly on the ground with a faint thud. She treaded across the island that was covered in murky green grass with vines and moss-covered tree roots protruding from the ground. Instead of allowing the trees to attack her first, she ice thorns at them. Once the thorn hit the tree, ice would spread as if it was spilled water and cover the entire tree.

Soon, she reached the edge of the island. During the few minutes of treading across the island, she hadn't seen any other monsters besides the trees. Even so, she still assumed that she would find land-dwelling monsters living on the islands the closer she got to the center of the swamp.

Stepping off the island, her foot landed on an ice platform. Unlike before, where her feet had to touch the water to form a platform, she formed a platform by using her glacial domain. If she wanted to, she could freeze everything within a 300 meter radius—this included even the monsters below the surface.

Looking ahead, she could see several trees in the midst of the murky water, far away from the islands. Ripples could be seen across the surface of the water near the trees. She could also hear the muffled sound of battle. This led her to believe that these trees were battling the monsters inhabiting the wetlands.

"You won't mind if I join, would you?" She said, softly, and bolted in the direction of the battle.

Arriving at the spot above the battle, she glanced down at the battlefield and found thirty Naga battling against the tree roots. These nagas had the upper torso of a beautiful human woman and the lower torso of a snake. Aurora noticed the battle strategy of the nagas was well-planned—this meant that these nagas were intelligent as they were gradually taking the advantage over the trees. At this rate, the Naga would come out of this as victors.

But that is only if there was no intervention from a third party. Sadly, there was one...

*CRRRRR!!

Ice spread all over. No matter where you looked, there was ice everywhere within a 300 meter radius.

'Time to go hunting...'

Manipulating the ice beneath her, she opened up a path that led down beneath the surface of the water. She wouldn't have gone below before, but now that everything below her feet was solid ice, she could casually walk down there and finish off her prey, one by one.

As she strode along the path, she sensed two weak presences. Opening up the area where she sensed them, she found two nagas that were on the verge of death with ice spikes protruding out from their internal organs. When Aurora had used her glacial domain, she conjured spikes that pierced all of the Nagas and trees, leaving them with two possible fates: the first was to die quickly, and the second was to die slowly from blood loss.

Those who remained alive wanted to die, while those who had already died were lucky enough to die early on. They didn't have to go through the pain of a slow death. If they could still speak, they would be joyful for their quick death.

"You survived? That's good. I thought none of you would survive for this long." The sadistic side of Aurora finally revealed itself. Her sadistic smile sent chills down the already cold skin of the Nagas.

Conjuring a dagger, she walked up to one of the nagas. Crouching, she jabbed the dagger into her tail, pinning it against the wall of ice that surrounded them.

The Naga cried out in pain. Her body trembled slightly.

"Why, why are you doing this?" the second Naga asked.

Her face was filled with fear and worry. Anger was also hidden beneath it all. She was angry at how powerless she was in front of Aurora. She was also angry at her for giving them such pain for no reason. Within her heart, she kept cursing Aurora while seeing her little sister get her arms sliced up, her tail sliced off, and lastly, her torso sliced into pieces.

Unbeknownst to her, tears started forming in her eyes. She had been weeping since the question she asked at the beginning.

Next was her, and her fate was no different than her little sisters': painful, cruel, and many other words that described it. The last thing she remembered was her heart being dissected as severe pain rampaged her body.
