My Fucked Up World Traveling System

Status: Indefinite Hiatus. We live in a world where monsters dominate the earth, causing humans to be pushed into small colonies that are barely thriving, unable to fight back with our useless weaponry. But once we were on the brink of extinction, people began obtaining magic systems, which allowed us to push back and gain some of the lost land we had once. … Three years later, in a small house on the outskirts of the New York safe zone, lived a 15-year-old boy named Alex with his aunt and uncle, since his parents were killed in a siege of monsters three years ago. Today, Alex would be awakening his system, which would allow him to become an adventurer to fight in the dungeons or the monsters in the wilderness. … They soon arrived at the ceremony, and it started shortly after with hundreds of young men and women awakening their systems with their families watching. Eventually, it became Alex’s turn, and he stepped up to the awakening stone and pressed his hand against it. Medusa’s Missing?

Aurora weaved herself through the ants, slicing her scythe at each exposed fatal part, bringing the numbers down drastically, until all that was left was the three queens.

*Bzzzz! The three ants made a loud buzzing noise due to their sheer anger at being unable to help their kin with their being immobilized.

'Shoot their leg joints, which ensures they can't move.' Aurora said, followed by Amia, who nodded in response.

*Bang! Bang! Bang!

Amia fired javelins at their leg joints, pinning them down and erasing their mobility without them having a chance to resist.

Aurora took a step forward, leaving a small foot print in her wake, reappearing above the lesser queen on the right, as she swung her scythe at its neck.

With its high reaction time, the lesser Queen shot out stingers from her neck, attempting to inflict poison.

When the stingers came several feet in front of her, Aurora twirled her scythe, slicing through the stingers as they sent poison droplets flying all over, which inevitably got onto Aurora.

Seeing that her plan worked, the lesser queen grinned, but she began to question, why didn't this murderer dissolve into nothing? My poison is potent enough to completely dissolve an A-Rank, so how could she be damaged?

She came out of her thoughts when she saw the same purple poison she had, dripping from Aurora's boot, hitting the floor of the queen's chamber.

'How.' All three queens asked.

It wasn't that Aurora was immune to poison, but her aura blocked and corroded the poison, bringing its potency down to the point that it could no longer inflict any damage, but the ant queens were ignorant of that, with them thinking that Aurora was immune to poison.

"I have another quest to do, so die now."

Aurora took a step forward, then disappeared, as the three ant queens looked around, trying to find the location of her so they could defend their fatal parts.

She appeared on the other side of them, which struck confusion in them until they felt pain all over, as their bodies were sliced apart into many different pieces.

Aurora turned to face the corpses of the dead queens. 'Finally, sigh. Ants are surely annoying, exactly as they were before the invasion.'

Amia came over to Aurora with a smile and said, "You were amazing."

"Thanks, so were you."

Amia put Aurora into her embrace, ignoring the fact that Aurora was covered in ant guts and blood. They wanted to kiss, but neither of them wanted to taste blood, as it was in Aurora's mouth.

"We should get going." Aurora pulled herself out of Amia's embrace.

"Yeah." Amia held onto Aurora's hand as they began walking up the path they took to get here.

After walking for several minutes, they arrived at the exit to the ant colony, but they noticed that Medusa wasn't anywhere to be seen.

"Could she have run off?"

"No, the soul contract forced her to obey my orders, so the only reason she would disobey is that she was killed or that she had been captured." Aurora said, "If she was killed, I would have felt the connection between us break, so she must've been captured."

Aurora closed her eyes and focused onto the soul connection, attempting to use it as a way to find her location. When she found her, she was within a fairly large building, and at the top of the building, words were written that read, "Blackdawn Guild."

"I know where she is, but for us to get her, we will need to fight a peak S Rank, which would be more difficult than the ants, but I'd rather do something else." Aurora said, opening her eyes.

She leaned into Amia's ear and whispered into it, telling Amia her plan, while sending information into Amia's mind to enact the plan.

After telling her plan, they teleported back to their house to take a quick shower to rinse off the ant guts and blood, along with a change of clothes, as they knew that the guild leader of Blackdawn wouldn't kill Medusa since he was using her against them.

When they were done taking a shower, they got dressed in leggings and a crop top and headed out in different directions with Aurora going to the Blackdawn guild and Amia going somewhere else.
