My Friend and I Reincarnated Into a Tragedy Dating Game

So I've been playing this shitty dating game along with my friend. Why is it shitty? Well, none of the damn endings are happy! You're destined to get a sad ending no matter what choices you make. But for some reason, we couldn't stop ourselves from talking about it or searching for some other ending. Ah... but I guess it doesn't matter since both of us died saving some random people we never met. ...Wait, why did I reincarnate into the villain of the shitty dating game? And my friend reincarnated as the hero? Is this... a good thing? Fuck, Nathan why are you beating yourself up? We need to make a real plan here!

While I was contemplating my own actions, Nathan tapped me on the arm.

"Come on, we don't have all day."

I gave a small nod.

"Fair enough."

I went along with him, though Edward was still looking at the man convulsing in pain for a moment. Nathan dragged him along a bit forcefully, getting him to continue on with us. Although Edward didn't seem to be that favorable of me right now, at the very least he hasn't explicitly shown any dissatisfaction.

The two of us continued on further into the black market, with multiple people going out of their way to get away from us. Even as we went further in, it kept happening. Despite the fact most people hadn't actually seen what we did, they seemed to be getting the memo from other people avoiding us and followed suit.

Though that didn't mean absolutely everyone was doing so. In fact, there was one seller that seemed rather unfazed, going as far as to wave over to us encouraging us to come over.
