Donya Esme looked at me for a long while, and then she sighed, and I wonder what is really going on as my heart continues to beat faster, and I can say she certainly has a hard time.

"Are you going to fire me, Donya Esmeralda? But you find it so hard to tell me? I understand you are a friend of Madam Kriselda." I blurted out, and I hate myself for being so impatient.

"Oh, my dear, I am sorry that Kriselda did something like that to you, but what I am going to tell you is far from what you are thinking right now. Yes, Kriselda is my friend, but I don't agree with her judgment towards you, Maya." She answered, and I can see the looked of sympathy in her eyes.
