Losing Control
As I made my way down to the outer city of the kingdom, I noticed that there wasn't much damage dealt to the kingdom. It all seemed to be coming from the entrance, where Viv is.
As I was thinking, I saw a streak of lightning go up in the air. Followed by a shining light.
That was Viv's.
When I arrived, Viv was on one knee and covered in bruises, cuts, and burns. The dress I had gotten for her was destroyed and she was barefoot.
"You ungrateful decoration of the empire! Stand down!" Screamed the pope I had seen back at the empire.
"You should ask nicely when you want something. Even children know that." Viv mocked him.
He sent a beam at her and before it landed, I threw my scythe and intercepted it. The light disappearing into the mist.
"My lady! Please go back, you should be protecting your daughter!"
