What really bugged Liuliu, though, was when her uncle surprisingly said, while eating the bamboo shoot, "We've gobbled up several big bamboo shoots in this meal! What a waste!"

Her father-in-law seemed to agree, nodding his head. Seeing that they weren't joking, Liuliu decided not to do this next time - at least not in their presence.
