Sam didn't like the plan that Delilah had come up with but he knew he couldn't change her mind. He had already tried enough in the past, and never once had she listened to him, so he simply walked away from the situation. "Do what you want but I will not get involved. Just remember to stay safe. If you ever feel like you are in danger, I will be here to help, but if you know what's good for you, I suggest you go to the police instead."
His feelings for Delilah were purely like a brother watching over a sister now. No longer was there anything romantic.
Delilah simply nodded her head as she picked up her phone and dialed Lucas' phone number. Fortunately, it was the same one that he used in Vegas and it connected. However, the phone rang and rang, but no one picked up.
Was he ignoring her? Or was he busy?
Seeing that he wasn't picking up, she decided to send him a message instead. He wouldn't be able to leave her to deal with a stalker on her own, right?
